Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a faith-filled family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies to God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. Her divine grace was passed on to her son early.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon chose to follow her father's example in sharing God's Word to the world. The name is CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a grant was made to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He received the BSc degree in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate of divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and become a minister.
