Choose Optimism and Build!
tg: @willtocodeThe only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.
Pessimism - a crutch for the unwilling
Optimism - a torrent that propels the willing towards the future
Pessimism is fatal
Pessimists cling to reality to justify their inaction
They say: "This rock won't move." When you ask why they reply "Because it is stationary".
The existence of two different beliefs—pessimism and optimism—proves that reality is malleable to our perceptions. Assuming you are reading this as someone inclined towards optimism, it's crucial to protect yourself from others and your own pessimism. One effective tool for this is a reality distortion field.
A Reality Distortion Field
“Steve has a reality distortion field.” When Hertzfeld looked puzzled, Tribble elaborated. “In his presence, reality is malleable. He can convince anyone of practically anything. It wears off when he’s not around, but it makes it hard to have realistic schedules.”
― Walter Isaacson, Steve Jobs

Instead of coping with Reality it's much better to distort it. Especially for optimists, ("copium" is our kryptonite).
If you have will, your environment doesn't matter. Your environment will only increase the friction towards some actions but it will not make them impossible. You can simulate a perfect environment with your RDF.
If you joined Apple at its early stages you would have been working under the RDF of Steve Jobs. Which permeates through the valley to this day.
Try to create a reality in which the only thing that matters is that you build and that their is no impossible there is only: "Not yet".
In a way everything is a RDF. Choose one which empowers you and helps you build cool shit.
One problem with "copium" is that it numbs out the paranoia and the urgency of which building something great requires. Hence why I called it kryptonite earlier.
In your RDF all talk should be worthless. Become deaf to words. And blind to lesser ideas. Don't listen to other people if they are not building or are not optimistic about the future.
Become Prophets. Prophesize the future, and build it. Because that is what innovators do.
There is a great war on reality. The pessimists wage psyops while the optimists are occupied shaping the future. Do not fight them over reality(the present) our fight is for the future. Get back in your trenches → build.
You are going to meet more pessimists than optimists because, as I said, they exist in the present, clinging to it as if it were everything that could ever be. They know not of action and reaction, only of despair and condemnation.
If you want to get rid of pessimism build an optimistic future.
When pessimists want to get rid of optimism they wage psyops on the present.
Look at the world through your RDF. What are young people doing? The young people that are creating value, how are they doing it? -- They sip coffee and build. Its that simple. Some even do it without coffee. All the knowledge they have you can learn from the internet. If you wanted to be better than them it would only take you 3 months of dedicated grinding on resources online. You can do anything with shear self-belief.
- What are they building?
That doesn't matter. Its what they are building on that matters. They are surfing the a techno capital wave. As of right now the wave is AI. That wave is going to take them towards a place where they can provide value for people and make money.

Its setup as a game. Find a way to trade value with people - and you can do this on scale thanks to the internet. Then you can use that capital to vote on humanities future. What you do with that capital has the ability to affect the trajectory of the future. Everyone with capital is racing to turn their favorite sci-fi into reality.
What is Your Favorite sci-fi?
Never before in human history has it been possible for a single human to do this. Never has it been solely a matter of will.
Have deranged pathological Optimism.
Many like to say:
"There are so many problems in the world" - FALSE
Don't fall for this crap. There are humans in the world, and humans have problems inside of them. The world is in harmony as it has been for eternity long before it took the form of a planet with life, and we must not be naive or stretch our imaginations so much that we think that it will be disturbed by the recent blip in its history: Homo Sapiens. And if you even widen your scope and look at the universe, there are no problems only puzzles that must be solved.
However we mustn't let that make us despise humanity or be pessimistic towards humanity. Humanity is not without a cure. The cure is Wisdom.
Technology is the acceleration of wisdom.
Don't fall for the illusion that a population of humans amassed in one place creates. That is not the world. Call it a city a country a nation or whatever you want but that is not Earth(nature. This is important because we came from nature). Its far from it. Its chaos. Illusory chaos. Seek Nature. Be wary of Urban Conditioning Be wary of the mob.

Being pessimistic about absolutely anything is like looking at the 0.1 nano meter in which the cup is not full.
Even if we blow the world up now look how far we've made it.
The world is a big peaceful and beautiful place. Some of our antecessors would say that the world was harsh and full of problems because of the hardship they endured, but who are we to say the world is harsh. The world(nature) has raised us to the heights where we now stand. Look around, the world submits to our will.
We know nothing. We are only getting started. How could you not be excited about the future. How do you not want to build and be part of this epic adventure.
The optimist is light and weightless. The pessimist is heavy, constantly chewing on problems but never digesting them. To be an optimist is to be free.
Don't be realistic, learn how to dream.
Brainwash yourself with optimism. Cleanse your mind with soap bubbles and butterflies.
Work on something that seems impossibly difficult. Wake up every day excited, knowing that through your resilience, you are turning the impossible into a mere delay. That is the pinnacle of optimism.
Embrace your savior complex. Save Earth not with your idealism, but your optimistic will.
...cast not away the hero in thy soul! Maintain holy thy highest hope!
Choose Optimism!
Go into your trenches and Build!
