Granddaughter of iconic Australian artist, Pro Hart and daughter of David Hart, Chloe is now making her own mark as a professional artist. Born in 1994, Chloe sold her first painting at the age of 11. Every year since, she has produced very limited works, all of which have been snapped up by savvy investors.
Being a part of the Hart dynasty and having the Harts’ artistic genes passed down to her, Chloe has naturally explored a number of techniques. At a young age, Chloe was given art lessons from her father, David Hart and Grandfather, the late Pro Hart. In the early days of her career she followed closely in her father's footsteps painting mostly beach scenes and dragonflies. In her teenage years, however, she began experimenting and developed her own style which she liked to call 'abstract action paintings'. The non-representational, unique form of Chloe’s abstract art made them a popular choice for art buyers. It was these paintings that created high media interest when exhibited in Generation Next, a showcase of three generations of Harts – Pro, David and Chloe.
Over the years Chloe has received huge media interest and has been included in many stories Australia wide.
In 2009 Chloe was featured in a full-page article in Women’s day and in 2010 she was featured on a children’s television programme called The Shack which was telecast to over 15 countries.
Chloe featured in Girlfriend magazine in 2011 as part of their Role Model series. The article discussed her inspiration and her focus on achieving her goals.
Chloe was asked to be an Ambassador for Read2Remember, an initiative of SunnyKids, developed to help our younger generations understand the importance of Remembrance Day in a positive way.
Chloe’s early 20’s saw a new style emerge with her love and appreciation of nature becoming evident in every piece. She also puts her hand to painting modern pieces of sculpture.
In 2019 Chloe completed her master’s at the University of Queensland in Writing, Editing and publishing, following a bachelors in Creative Writing. She is excited to launch her series of short stories along with an exhibition of her latest artworks at Red Hill Gallery, Brisbane in the coming months.
Chloe was instrumental in collaborating with her father, David Hart, and Chelsea McGuffin with her team, to put together some concepts for Qpac (Queensland Performing Arts Centre) for a motivational story about one of David’s artworks to be presented as a physical theatre production. This is hoped to be fully developed in 2021.

The Hidden Costs of Sexual Harassment
Chloe is a PhD candidate in Sociology whose work focuses on the micro- and meso- level mechanisms that promote and maintain contemporary gender inequalities. In her dissertation research, she examines the subtle and indirect costs that stem from sexual harassment in the workplace. In a second stream of research, she explores linkages between gender identity and health and their implications for gendered health disparities.
