Chloe has quickly taken on more mature, demanding roles, proving she’s here to stay in Hollywood.
Chloe Grace Moretz first became a household name thanks to her breakthrough role in 2010’s Kick Ass. Since then, the young star has shown off her acting chops in films like Let Me In (2010) , Dark Shadows (2012) , Carrie (2013), and Greta (2018). Chloe has quickly taken on more mature, demanding roles, proving she’s here to stay in Hollywood. The celebrity has also become well-known for her dating life. Chloe has been linked to fellow stars including Alex Roe, Kate Harrison, and Neymar. Most famously, however, she dated Brooklyn Beckham (aka. David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son) from 2014 to 2018. Since she started acting at the young age of 6, it’s hard to believe that Chloe is now already 22-years old. But these photos will prove just how quickly this actress has grown up.
Chloe once got in trouble for her controversial words in higher education, as she implied that it’s a waste of money. Too bad we can’t all become millionaires before the age of 20 like Chloe! "The problem I have with it right now is that I've made all my own money since I was a kid,” she told Bustle. “And I just really don't agree with our educational system right now, with the fact that I would have to be spending so much of my hard-earned money to go to college to get a higher education."
Many have a bone to pick with the Kardashians, including Chloe. The actress caught the famous family’s attention after she commented on Kimye’s infamous phone call with Taylor Swift. She later criticized Kim for posting a nude selfie. This led Khloe K to post a bikini pic of Chloe in a compromising position mocking the awkwardly candid shot.
Chloe has always spoken highly of her mother, but you’ll rarely hear the actress mention her father. According to The Guardian, the celebrity’s dad walked out on her family when she was only 12-years old. Chloe was mainly raised by her mom along with her four older brothers. One of her brothers is her acting coach, while another is her business manager.
Chloe is incredibly close to her big brothers. She says they’ve filled a paternal gap in her life. She once explained to Interview , “I think number one would be that they always protect me. There’s someone to turn to. It’s like having four fathers, basically, because they all super-duper take care of me.”
Chloe dated Brooklyn Beckham beginning in 2014 before they officially split up last year. In December of 2017, however, fans were convinced the pair were engaged after a selfie appeared to show them wearing matching rings on their wedding fingers. The rings were even customized with the couple’s initials. But alas, a proper engagement announcement never came.
Chloe is known for having four brothers, but the actress also had a sister at one point. During a discussion with Interview , she revealed her sister passed shortly after being born. “I used to have a sister, but I never got to meet her, because she died after two days, I think. So, if I got a tattoo, it would probably be something to do with my sister,” she explained.
Due to her acting commitments, Chloe wasn’t able to keep up with a traditional school. So, from the tender age of 9, the actress began home-schooling until she finished with her high school diploma. Of the experience, Chloe says she has no regrets. “I was home-schooled since I was nine years old. But I had this ability to travel around the world and be surrounded by people like Martin Scorsese at 13 years old,” she told NPR.
Although Chloe has dated some famous men (we’re looking at you, Brooklyn Beckham), it’s recently become clear the actress swings both ways. Last December, the star was seen making out with model Kate Harrison. It’s unclear if the ladies were in a relationship or just having some fun, but Chloe was unbothered by the media attention.
Chloe has acted in some high-profile films, but that hasn’t stopped the star from calling out the movies she’s worked on if she finds something problematic. In 2017, she called out the producers of her parody Red Shoes & The 7 Dwarfs for body-shaming during its marketing campaign. “I am just as appalled and angry as everyone else, this wasn’t approved by me or my team. Pls know I have let the producers of the film know,” she wrote online.
Don’t expect Chloe to find herself a squad anytime soon! The celebrity h as subtly shaded close friend groups, like Taylor Swift’s infamous squad. "They appropriate exclusivity. They're cliques!" she told Complex previously. She also described herself as "anti-squad squad” to Billboard along with her friend, Meghan Trainor.
The sky is the limit for Chloe Grace Moretz, especially with her impressive array of acting credits to date. When asked about how famous she wants to become, the blonde told Complex during a cover shoot interview, "I want to be America's sweetheart…I want to be beloved. I want to be an indie queen, but I want people to really love me and what I've done and let me be a part of their lives at home."
Chloe found fame when she was still just a young kid, so many fans haven’t adjusted to the fact this actress is already in her 20s. But the celebrity made it clear she’s all grown-up in 2016 when she posted a topless photo to social media that her then-boyfriend, Brooklyn Beckham, had snapped. Some fans pointed out the shot was ironic considering that Chloe has slammed other celebs like Kim Kardashian for posing nude.
Chloe might be known for her high-profile relationships, but there are very few times the star will be caught locking lips with anyone. Why? She swears she hates public displays of affection. “I’m not a big fan of PDAs in general. I personally don’t want to see people posted all over my phone making out,” she once said to The Independent.
Aaron Carter was a huge pop star in the ‘90s and early 2000s, but now the celebrity is better known for his train wreck of a personal life. In 2017, Aaron made waves after trying to ask the then-20-year old out on a date. Chloe didn’t reply to his tweet, but considering their big age difference (and Aaron’s personal problems), no one was surprised that it was a hard no.
Chloe first got her start as thee potty-mouthed kid in Kick Ass. But the star once explained she’s completely different than her onscreen persona. In fact, she would never have imagined saying a curse word while growing up. “I was raised to think cursing makes you look unintelligent. As Chloe, I can honestly say I’ve never uttered a syllable of a curse word, not even behind closed doors,” she revealed.
Chloe lives mainly in LA thanks to her thriving career. But the celebrity was once honest that it isn’t her number one choice of places to live. “Los Angeles is fun and I’ve lived there for 10 years, but there’s something about New York. I’m pretty much New York in every way,” the star revealed to Teen Vogue.
Chloe’s older brother, Trevor, was the first sibling to become interested in acting. She says her passion developed from watching him study it. “I mean, I always had this really strong inclination,” she told Interview . “My brother Trev went to the Professional Performing Arts School in New York, and he used to do his monologues and stuff and rehearse in our apartment. So I used to hear him all the time.” Now, Trevor is her acting coach.
In order to keep her safe, Chloe reveals her older brother Trevor always accompanies her to Hollywood events. “My brother was never not with me. There were instances, like where I was invited to a private poker night – which is weird – at a man’s house when I was 15 years old. It was always: ‘If there’s not a plus-one for Trevor, then Chloe is not going,’” she explained to The Guardian.
Who doesn’t have a thing for Ryan Gosling? Chloe once admitted she loves the hunky actor during a sit-down with Interview magazine, where she was asked, “What male figure would make you fall down onto your knees in respect and awe?” She coolly replied, “Ryan Gosling.” And her female crush? Audrey Hepburn!
Chloe is technically a ‘90s baby, as she was born in 1997. But she admits she wishes she got to experience the thrill of being born even earlier in the decade. “Being the youngest child in the family, I grew up with everyone else’s cool stuff that they already found,” she told The Guardian, adding that she finds it “depressing” to have been born in the late ‘90s.
