Chipotle Celebrates National Burrito Day with Free Giveaways and Surprise Celebrity Appearances

In honor of National Burrito Day, Chipotle Mexican Grill is pulling out all the stops with a day full of freebies, live music, and even surprise celebrity guest appearances at select locations.

The fast-casual chain announced that the first 100 customers at each of its 3,200 U.S. locations will receive a free burrito—no purchase necessary—while supplies last. Additionally, all customers who order through the Chipotle app or website will receive double points on their rewards orders.

But the real buzz is around Chipotle’s 'Burrito Drop' event in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, where food trucks will be handing out free burritos in high-traffic areas. Rumor has it that A-list celebrities (reportedly including past collaborators like Shawn Mendes and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson) might make surprise appearances to hand out meals.

'We know how much our fans love our burritos, so we wanted to make this year’s National Burrito Day unforgettable,' said Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s Chief Marketing Officer. 'Whether it’s a free meal, a concert, or a celebrity sighting, we’re making sure everyone gets a taste of the celebration.'

The company also teased a limited-edition burrito wrapper designed by a famous street artist, though details remain under wraps.
