China lottery sales fall in September 2021

China's finance ministry continues to report on monthly sales of national lottery tickets. In September 2021, a total of $31.24 billion worth of lottery tickets were sold in the People's Republic of China. Check out the latest lottery news for more.

The lottery sector's total sales in September were 1.37 billion won, down 4.2% from its August 2021 settlement. National lottery sales also fell year-on-year, down KRW 34.62 billion, or 12.9% from sales in September 2020. Both spot lotteries and welfare lotteries plunged 11.5% and 15.1% compared to the previous year, respectively.

At the same time, gross national lottery sales in 2021 were $278.53 billion, showing an overall positive trend in the lottery sector, up 20.7% from sales in January-September 2020.
