ChillGames Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 August 2026 · Effective for the ChillGames Discord bot (“ChillGames”, “we”, “us”).

This policy explains what information ChillGames processes when you add or use the bot
in a Discord server, and how you can ask questions or request deletion.

Who we are

ChillGames is a Discord application that posts free/sale game alerts, patch notes,
Steam build updates, and price search / sale-watch features.

Information we process

Depending on how the bot is used, we may store:

  • Server (guild) IDs and configured channel IDs for free games, Prime, patch notes, and per-store routing.

  • User IDs for sale watches (/notify), command bans (moderation), and when you submit /request or /report.

  • Message IDs for posts the bot makes, so it can update or expire announcements.

  • Sale watch details you choose (store, product id, title, baseline price / discount).

  • Server preferences such as which free-game sources or patch games are enabled.

  • Feedback text you send via /request or /report (forwarded to the ChillGames team).

  • Operational logs (for example errors and high-level command activity) that may include Discord IDs.

We also keep public game catalog / price data from stores (Steam, GOG, Epic, and others).
That catalog content is not personal data about Discord users.

We do not ask for passwords, payment details, or email addresses to use the bot.

How we use information

  • To post and manage free-game, sale, and patch-note feeds in channels you configure.

  • To run /search, /notify, and related features you request.

  • To operate, secure, and improve ChillGames (debugging, abuse prevention, rate limits).

  • To respond to requests and reports you submit.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Information may be processed by our hosting provider(s)
solely to run ChillGames, and by Discord as part of normal Discord API usage.
Public posts in your server are visible according to that server’s Discord settings.

Retention

Server settings and watches are kept while the bot remains in the server / while a watch exists.
When ChillGames is removed from a server, we remove that server’s stored settings and related
announcement/post records as part of normal cleanup. Sale watches are removed when you remove them
or when associated data is cleared. Logs are kept only as long as needed for operations.

Your choices

  • Server admins can remove channels, disable sources/games, or kick the bot.

  • You can remove your own sale watches with /notify.

  • To request deletion of data tied to your Discord user ID, or to ask a privacy question,
use /report in Discord and mention “privacy” / “delete my data”.

Children

ChillGames is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required to use Discord
in your region). Do not use the bot if you are not allowed to use Discord.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change
when we do. Continued use of ChillGames after an update means you accept the revised policy.
