In a performance that solidified his status as one of the NBA’s brightest young stars, Chet Holmgren delivered a career-high 38 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 blocks to propel the Oklahoma City Thunder to a thrilling 112-108 Game 7 victory over the Denver Nuggets. The win sends the Thunder to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in nearly a decade.

Holmgren, the 7-foot-1 phenom, dominated on both ends of the floor, hitting clutch three-pointers and shutting down Denver’s offense with his elite rim protection. His late-game block on two-time MVP Nikola Jokić with under a minute left sealed the victory, sending the Paycom Center crowd into a frenzy.

'Big-time players make big-time plays in big-time games,' Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said postgame. 'Chet was unbelievable tonight. He’s not just a rookie anymore—he’s a leader.'

Holmgren, who missed his entire true rookie season due to injury, has been a revelation this year, averaging 21.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.2 blocks per game in the playoffs. His partnership with fellow young star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has turned Oklahoma City into a legitimate title contender.

'All the work, all the setbacks—it’s all worth it for moments like this,' Holmgren told reporters, drenched in celebration confetti. 'But we’re not done yet.'

The Thunder will now face the winner of the Dallas Mavericks-Minnesota Timberwolves series in the Western Conference Finals, with Game 1 set for Sunday.
