Chelsea Handler Announces New Comedy Special and Advocacy Tour

Los Angeles, CA – June 10, 2024 – Comedian, author, and television host Chelsea Handler is making headlines once again with the announcement of her upcoming comedy special and a nationwide advocacy tour.

Handler, known for her sharp wit and unapologetic humor, revealed in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Reporter that her new stand-up special, 'Unapologetically Chelsea,' will premiere on Netflix later this year. The special, filmed at the iconic Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles, promises to tackle everything from politics to modern dating with her signature boldness.

In addition to her comedy work, Handler is launching 'Laughing for Change,' a 20-city tour combining stand-up performances with fundraising events for women’s rights organizations. Partnering with groups like Planned Parenthood and EMILY’s List, the tour aims to mobilize voters ahead of the 2024 elections.

'I’m done just talking about the issues—it’s time to laugh about them and then get to work,' Handler said in a press release. 'Comedy has always been my way of connecting with people, but now I want to use that connection to make a real difference.'

Fans can expect surprise celebrity guests at select tour stops, with rumors circulating that close friends like Amy Schumer and Tiffany Haddish might make appearances.

Tickets for 'Laughing for Change' go on sale next week, while 'Unapologetically Chelsea' hits Netflix in November.
