These softwares are intended for a specific model, and is only oriented in Huawei and Honor devices.

They also realize applications for Android, equally oriented for Huawei and Honor. With the functions to update your software, or to look for a personalization theme for emui, among others.

We moved to a part of the planet, precisely Moscow, Russia (host country of the 2018 World Cup).

This time, we find the person behind the "Multi-Tool Team" (Team MT), which is also the creator, and his name is Igor.

What is your name and age?

Igor:

My name is Igor. I am 35 years old.

What did you study at University?

Igor:

I studied water supply and industrial sanitation at the university and I graduated in 2009.

What part of Russia are you from?

Igor:

I was born in the Saratov region, and for more than 10 years I have been living in Moscow.

When did you start with Team MT?

Igor:

My team started to be armed in May 2016. May 25 is officially the team's birthday.

Máximo Hernández:

What was the reason to create Team MT?

Igor:

I helped people from 4PDA (a forum of Russian technology) to recreate the project of Honor 6 and Honor 7 Multi-Tool to apply it to Huawei Mate 7. From there an idea appeared to create the team.

Máximo Hernández:

Can you tell me the history of the MT team?

Igor:

Yes. It all started long before the Huawei and Honor device communities appeared for the first time.

There was a project of the Honor 6 Multi-Tool, the author was the developer of the forum "XDA developers", with the user name "VirusPlus".

At that time, there was a 4PDA.RU enthusiast who wanted to do something similar for the Honor 7 model ... that enthusiast was Yo!

I requested permission from the author of the project, and I began to adopt and translate the Multi-Tool into Russian (since it was in English).

For the first time, the utility known as "Multi-Tool Honor 7" was launched on November 23, 2015, I never thought that VirusPlus could combine more than two utilities into a single multiple tool for Honor and make it a reality, so that I could bring it to Honor 7. Thanks to that, we were able to help a large circle of people.

Later, the creator of the original project, changed the phone and left me his publication and his legacy.

Time passed, and new functions and other things continued to develop simultaneously. The popularity of "Multi-Tool" grew and many users asked to create something similar for other devices, so in the idea of giving people the opportunity and the knowledge to create a utility for their devices, Mate7 Multi-Tool appeared (with user support GhertsXS) and soon after Team MT was created.

Then Multi-Tool was created for the Honor 5X (made by redhaos). And then we started recruiting people to add devices.

The support of the new models came under a single Huawei Multi-Tool platform by the developers of Team MT. It is not difficult to guess that MT is an acronym for Multi-Tool.

After that, we started to devise new projects, so Firmware Finder for Huawei, Theme Store for Huawei and EMUI Tweaker appeared.

What was your first Smartphone?

Igor:

My first Smartphone was a Sony Ericsson X8

Máximo Hernández:

What do you prefer Huawei or Honor?

Igor:

I like more Honor. I was attracted to this brand with its price and functionality.

Máximo Hernández:

Do you know how to program?

Igor:

Yes, but my knowledge is not so profound. Studies are always necessary in these parameters, is what I recommend.

Máximo Hernández:

Would you exchange Android for iOS?

Igor:

Honestly, I do not understand iOS, for me it is very limited. I'm an Android addict.

Máximo Hernández:

Is it difficult to make an Android application?

Igor:

In our team, the development of applications for Android is Daniel's field (gmanrainy). He knows Java, he says it's simple. It is not my kind to do this, I am more an ideological leader in the development of Android.

Máximo Hernández:

How can you know what updates are available every day for Huawei and Honor devices?

Igor:

We do not verify anything. The system is completely automatic. The verification occurs immediately, when it is necessary for the user. This check is based on queries and responses between Huawei Update Center and the update server before installing the firmware in the so-called Software verification. We did it that way so that people do not have to waste time downloading the firmware and getting an error instead of installing a new update. Everything is automatic and programmed.

Máximo Hernández:

What do you prefer Hardware or Software?

Igor:

I like both, they are inseparable. I like to "delve into" the hardware. I have a friend who is a welder. I used to weld sometimes, but basically something related to minor repairs or to gather some simple scheme.

With the Software, I have a special interest, I like to install different software and understand it in depth.

Máximo Hernández:

What is the best Smartphone of 2017 for you?

Igor:

None, my ideal Smartphone has not yet come out. For me, the perfect Smartphone is now the Honor 8.

Máximo Hernández:

What do you prefer and why? Telegram or WhatsApp?

Igor:

I love Telegram, but my family uses WhatsApp. So I have to use both.

Máximo Hernández:

What are the next goals of Team MT?

Igor:

We are preparing some interesting projects, I can not talk about that yet. It is something more international. But soon you will discover all this. You will also find many interesting things in existing projects.

Do you like to help people?

Igor:

Yes, I definitely like to help people, even if this goes beyond the conversation or the current topic (and even the scope of human understanding), I try to convey to the person the essence of the solution and solve their problem..

Do you think that Honor remains in the market or Huawei absorbs it?

Igor:

I do not believe that the division into two names was made to leave one, but to cover other markets.

Do you think about changing your Smartphone?

Igor:

Not yet, I am waiting for the release of Honor 10, I am satisfied with my Honor 8 and I even bought another, as a second Smartphone.
