Mindfold — Privacy Policy & Terms of Sale
This document governs your use of the Mindfold browser extension ("Mindfold", "the Extension") and your purchase of Mindfold Pro. By installing the Extension or completing a purchase, you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not install the Extension or complete the purchase.

## 1. Privacy Policy
### 1.1 What is stored locally
Mindfold stores your folders, prompts, settings, theme, and backups locally in your browser using `chrome.storage.local`. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. We do not run analytics, do not use trackers, and do not operate any server that receives your conversation content.
### 1.2 What leaves your device — payment verification only
To unlock and verify Mindfold Pro, the Extension communicates with **extensionpay.com** (ExtensionPay), which uses **Stripe** to process payment. This exchange is limited to: your email address, your purchase/subscription status, and a license token. **Your chat content, folders, and prompts are never sent to ExtensionPay, Stripe, or us** — only the data needed to confirm you've paid.
This is why the Extension requests host access to `extensionpay.com` in its permissions (see 1.4 below) and loads ExtensionPay's library to check your Pro status (`extpay.getUser()`).
ExtensionPay's and Stripe's own privacy policies govern how they handle the payment data they process:

### 1.3 No sale of data
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or conversation content with third parties for advertising or any other purpose. We have nothing to sell — we don't collect it in the first place.
### 1.4 Permissions explained

### 1.5 Data retention and deletion
Since your data lives in `chrome.storage.local`, uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser's extension data deletes it. Use the in-app "Backup" feature before uninstalling if you want to keep a copy. We retain only the minimal account record ExtensionPay/Stripe keep for payment and tax purposes, per their own retention policies.
### 1.6 Children
Mindfold is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

## 2. Terms of Sale
### 2.1 What you're buying
Mindfold Pro is digital content delivered electronically: it unlocks additional features (export formats, in-chat search, themes, folder drag-assignment) inside the Extension you already have installed. There is no physical shipment and no separate download.

### 2.2 Right of withdrawal (EU/EEA/UK consumers) and your express consent
Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and equivalent UK law, consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. **This right does not apply once we have started delivering digital content, provided you have given prior express consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your withdrawal right.**
To make this consent real and not just boilerplate text, before you are sent to the payment page you will be asked to actively confirm: *"I want immediate access to Mindfold Pro and understand that I lose my 14-day right of withdrawal once my purchase is delivered."* Completing the purchase after this confirmation constitutes your express consent. A confirmation of your order is sent to the email associated with your payment.
If this confirmation step is ever missing from the purchase flow, your statutory 14-day withdrawal right is **not waived** and continues to apply — this clause protects us only when the consent step has actually been shown to you.
### 2.3 Faulty or non-conforming product
This clause does not shorten or replace your statutory rights. Under applicable law (including EU Directive 2019/770 for digital content), we remain liable for a lack of conformity that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within the statutory period applicable in your country (a minimum of two years in the EU/EEA), and for the first year the burden of proving the product was conforming at delivery is on us, not you.
As a practical matter, if Mindfold Pro doesn't work as described, contact us at stakannn07@gmail.com with details and we'll aim to fix it or, where required by law, provide a price reduction or refund. This 14-day-fastest-response commitment is a service goal, not a limit on your legal rights.
### 2.4 Refunds outside mandatory rights
Outside of the statutory rights described in 2.2–2.3, purchases are final, since the content is delivered in full immediately upon payment. We may, at our discretion, offer a goodwill refund for reasons outside the statutory grounds (e.g. accidental double purchase); this is not an entitlement.
### 2.5 What we don't promise
Mindfold Pro is provided "as is" and "as available." Except for the statutory conformity guarantee in 2.3, we don't warrant the Extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every version of ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini's web interface — these are third-party sites we don't control, and UI changes on their end can temporarily break features. We aim to fix breakage promptly but make no guaranteed uptime commitment.
### 2.6 Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising from your purchase or use of Mindfold is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost data from not backing up before uninstalling, or lost productivity). Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence).
### 2.7 Taxes
Prices shown at checkout include or exclude VAT/sales tax as indicated by ExtensionPay/Stripe at the point of sale based on your location. You're responsible for any taxes not collected at checkout that are legally owed in your jurisdiction.
### 2.8 Subscription cancellation (if applicable)
If your purchase is a recurring subscription, you can cancel anytime before the next billing date through the link in your ExtensionPay receipt email or by contacting us; cancellation stops future charges and Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. *[удалите этот пункт, если продаёте только разовую покупку]*

## 3. Trademarks and affiliation
Mindfold is an independent, third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic. ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe compatibility.
## 4. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of [ВАША ЮРИСДИКЦИЯ], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence, which continue to apply regardless of this clause.
## 5. Changes to this policy
We may update this document as the Extension changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
