I guess that the moral of my story is going to be that there are disadvantages in having a wife with an electronics degree, or possibly the moral is never to have a falling out with a keyholder.
I first met Nancy back at college, where her subtle B&D jokes first caused me to suspect that she had an interest in being a dominant. Of course, I snapped her up instantly and we were soon married.
Since I was a programmer, and could telecommute rather easily, she insisted I stay home under her control whenever possible. I'd only be free when she wanted sex, or when I had to answer a call of nature.
She'd secure me so that I could work, but could do nothing else. She loved calling me, and teasing me, several times a day so that I'd be "properly" frustrated by the time she got home.
In the beginning she'd be ready to get to it after teasing me for a while after she got home. But as time went on she would want me to please her more and more first. Eventually we gradually drifted into rules that required me to service her repeatedly to earn any release on my part.
She was very much a fan of using her electronics knowledge for lots of crafty cruelties. Early in our play she hooked up a touch tone decoder (1) to our answering machine, so that pressing certain keys when leaving messages would give me electrical shocks. Note only would this interrupt me many times a day, but she never felt the need to turn the device off when replaying the days messages.
I suppose it was only a matter of time before she stumbled over a web site devoted to Chastity Devices (2). Not only did this give her lots of ideas in that area, the mailing list (3) had a table of what folks were doing that showed that many people were staying in much more than I was. The immediate side effect of this was that she purchased the best device she could, and I was now spending more and more time without sex before I could earn my release.
The chastity device was a boon in many respects, since she no longer needed to keep me tied to keep me frustrated. However she didn't want me wandering far, so one day she locked all my clothes away in the basement. We were now in separate rooms most nights, so that she could make my room uncomfortable without affecting her comfort. Now with a lock on her room there were no clothes I had access to without her permission.
She was major fan of the discussions of what an "Ideal" chastity device would be like, and often amused herself with her own wish list, and designs. I knew she was working up to something, but I didn't know what.
Eventually, she decided that while chastity caused me to do anything she asked me to do, it wasn't as much fun as chastity and torment. The mere addition of radio control (4) hooked to the answering machine decoder kept her satisfied for a while.
Some time later she realised that she could hook the transmitter directly to the output of her PC in her room, and could use programs to arrange for much more elaborate schedules than phone calls could manage. She could, for example, schedule a 10 second shock every 20 minutes between 2 and 4 am. She could implement anything her heart desired.
With the aid of some devices (5) that allowed her PC to control appliances, and check status of switches, I soon became just another device controlled by her PC. There was a shock pattern that meant "Come and service me", a pattern that meant "Step into the stocks so I can amuse myself", and several patterns that meant she wanted a massage, shampoo, manicure, etc.
Because her PC could now sense the position of switches, several switches were installed around the house for no other purpose that to make me work. When a certain light was turned on, I had 30 seconds to turn off the appropriate switch before being shocked until it was turned off. Normally this meant that she'd have me running up and down stairs all day.
After one particularly vicious session I discovered that I could shield the receiver, and avoid shocks when she was not there. This worked quite well, until one day she showed mercy, and I hadn't noticed.
From that point on, the RF link was what kept the belt off, and lack of signal was what delivered shock. This meant that power failures, or even system crashes were now times of great pain. But it kept me from trying to keep her from tormenting me.
After that point, she made a big point of not being able to trust me. She could trust me on chastity, but not on everything else. It was now the age of web sites, and she set her PC up as a web site, with a dedicated line. Several small cameras for PC's were set up around the house to watch every place I could be, and were each assigned a web page at her site. She could now watch my every move any time she wanted at the click of a button.
Around this same time some (&**&) on the list pointed out that there had been someone in a chastity belt a year. She considered my offense worth this, and broke the news to me. I said I'd not be willing to do that, and for a year I'd FIND a way to sneak out to see a locksmith. She countered that leaving the range of the transmitter would turn the belt on and make further travel impossible. I was beaten. I apologized, and she seemed to show mercy and said I'd only have to do 6 months. I thanked her.
I didn't know at the time that she now had a girl friend, and her girl friend was doing work with microcontrollers. Nor did I know that she and her girl friend were still working on her "ideal" chastity device design.
I did know that she was always upgrading her web site. She could easily pull up a schedule of punishments for me, and various rules that were in effect. These could be edited at will, and any punishment could be inflicted at the touch of a button. And she could view the results directly on the web page. She later added microphones so she could hear my responses via sound files.
As my six month punishment was almost up, she put me in the stocks for what I assumed was another torment session. Once I was helpless, she removed my chastity belt, gagged me, and left. She then came back in with a woman I'd not had not met before. She was carrying a very hefty device with her. This was my wife's new "ideal" chastity belt.
She reminded me that since I was never out in public, it had no need whatsoever to be small enough to fit under street clothes. It appeared to be as much as 6 inches thick in places. I was informed that the thinnist metal in the device was 1" thick hardened steel. She demonstrated that it had even more shocking power that the old one, and additional features such as the ability to squeeze my balls to agonizing levels. It could also clamp my penis so that I couldn't piss, and could burn or freeze it with a thermoelectric module. It had some embedded micro controllers (6) that allowed its functions to be controlled by a public/private key system so that there was no hope of my forging any commands.
The unlocking of the device was totally under control of the onboard electronics. There was therefore no key I could ever find or have made. I was warned that if the electronics ever thought I was removing it that I'd not have parts to play with again. But they wouldn't tell me what they had rigged. I was told that the battery kept the ball crusher pulled back, and if I ever let the battery run down I'd be missing two valuable items, and would lose them painfully.
Now my wife reminded me about the 1 year punishment I'd tried to argue out of. Since I chose to argue with her, she said that it was now two years, and since I had been bad, the six months I had just served didn't count for anything. She informed me that the computer in the belt was set for two years, and all unlock commands would be ignored for that time. The best I could hope for was to serve time without punishment.
She moved her girl friend in, but I still had to service Nancy regularly to avoid punishment. Her girl friend wasn't interested in me for sex, so I never had to service her. However her friend did use me for all sorts of household chores, and manicures. My wife slowly became more and more enamored with her girl friend, and less and less pleased with my performance as anything other than a servant.
Eventually she decided that they would move on (her girl friend got a good job on the coast) and that she needed to do something with me. She arranged for groceries to be delivered to the door (on my programming salary, of course), and figured I'd not need anything like clothes or other expenses. Whatever I'd need could be handled by credit card. Not wanting to totally give up tormenting me, the web site was left up. I didn't dare tamper with her site, because the belt would react badly to not hearing from it.
She decided that I would be just the ticket for some poor struggling student, and gave all her friends access to her web site. A contest went on for the next few months, to see who had the most fun, and showed the most imagination in tormenting me. Eventually Mary won, and got the prize of me, and my house, and room and board (at my expense, of course).
Mary has been quite fair to me, and not too unreasonable. I've come to care deeply for her and her for me. She has been using me to service her orally, so she's satisfied sexually, but I've not had release since I went in.
Two years have passed, and Mary and I were waiting for the disable to expire. A few days after it was supposed to she started checking status information carefully.
It appears that my wife made a little mistake when she programmed this belt. The keyboard was just a little sticky. The lockout is set not for 2 years, but for 22. Mary informs me that if I want out then, I'd better get even more enthusiastic on serving her now.

I see endless chastity forum posts every week about chastity device fitting problems, so I have created this quick start measuring for a chastity device guide.
Poorly Fitted Chastity Device Complaints
The two most common complaints I see about poorly fitting chastity devices concern the base ring. The first is the ring causes wearers discomfort or pain all the time. The other is that when the wearer’s penis attempts to become erect, the base ring behind the balls slides up and “chokes” the testicles causing discomfort or pain. Getting accurate measurements before buying a chastity device will usually help you avoid both issues.
In the past, I’ve always pointed guys to the measuring guide on the Mature Metal website. But recently, I discovered they changed it. I expect they were trying to improve it, but I think the guide is now less clear and less useful. That’s why I have created this measuring guide. It will work for most ball-trap devices.
I’ve aimed the guide at those who plan to order a custom-made device. However, taking proper measurements before buying an off the shelf device is never a waste of time. Many manufacturers are now providing at least some basic measurements you can use to choose a better fitting cage or tube.
The three measurements you need are flaccid penis length, circumference of the soft penis shaft, and the circumference of an imaginary circle running around the base of your penis behind your balls.
Always measure when your penis is flaccid, soft, but not “shriveled.” Penises regularly shrink and expand in length while flaccid. That is amply illustrated by the image below that I found on Wikipedia.

As the image shows, there is a wide variance in the length of the same penis photographed at six different times.
The imaged labeled 1 depicts a semi-erect penis. In image 2, the penis is returning to its normal flaccid state. Based on my experiences, image 3 depicts a flaccid penis. That’s what I most often see when I look at my penis inside a chastity cage.
The penis starts in image 4, moving toward a “shriveled” state. The state of the penis in image 3, I believe, is the flaccid length most useful for chastity device measurements.
If you measured your penis length in the state depicted in image 2, you would probably find that most of the time the tip of the penis would not touch the end of the cage or tube.
To get the most accurate measurements for a chastity device, take measurements at different times of day over two or three days. Then use the shortest measurement you obtained.
Some chastity device manufacturers like Mature Metal ask you to measure the underneath side of your penis from your balls to the tip. Others ask you to measure from the top from base to tip. Make sure to follow the appropriate instructions as that is how the manufacturer accounts for the gap between the cage and base ring. If you can’t find on their website which measurement a manufacturer uses, call or email and find out.
Whether you measure from the bottom or top, a ruler is the best device for measuring length. If you measure the underneath side of your penis, take care not to press the end of the ruler into your scrotum. The ruler should only lightly touch the skin.
Always record your measurements. Don’t rely on memory.
After taking several penis length measurements at different times of day over several days, choose the smallest measurement. You should then subtract a small amount.
Mature Metal suggests subtracting 1/4-inch. That’s what I did when I ordered my first Mature Metal cage. As it turned out, the cage is about 1/2-inch too long, and the tip of my penis rarely touches the end.
That wasn’t the fault of Mature Metal. They built what I asked for. And I feel sure I took accurate measurements. So that told me subtracting 1/4-inch is not enough. Since the cage was about 1/2-inch too long, I now subtract 3/4-inch from my smallest length measurement when ordering custom-made cages. I recommend never subtracting less than 1/2-inch.
You can’t really go too short. You can easily compress your soft penis. If you push your flaccid penis toward your body, it easily compresses to half its normal length or less. If you keep pushing, it will “turtle” inside your body and disappear. The real problems with chastity cages occur when they are too long, and most guys buy devices with cages that are too long. That sets them up for attempted erection problems. More on that when we get to measuring for base rings.
The penis circumference measurement is very important for several reasons. Chastity device fabricators use this measurement to calculate the internal diameter of the cage or tube. Custom manufacturers can change the length of the cage or tube, the ring size, and the gap if needed, but they can not change the internal diameter of a cage. Whatever you order as the inside diameter, you can’t alter later.
This measurement is important because you want the cage or tube to “fit like a glove,” with your penis always touching the sides, bottom, and top of the cage or tube. Extra space inside the cage or tube will likely cause you problems during attempted erections. Erections don’t stop until your penis feels compression from the inside of the device.
If you can easily insert your flaccid penis into a cage or tube, then the interior diameter is too big. You will most often have to apply a little lubricant with a properly fitted device and work your penis into the cage or else use the “stocking method” to coax it fully into the tube.
The flaccid penis is extremely squishy. You can compress it to half or less of its normal circumference without any pain. There isn’t much risk that you’re going to strangle your penis by choosing a close-fitting cage or tube. A tip I’ve learned and use is to take your smallest penis circumference measurement and subtract 1/4-inch to get the best fit.
You don’t want the inside diameter so small that it compresses your flaccid penis, but you want a snug fit. Although soft penises are very malleable, what you don’t want is to compress your penis both in length and circumference at the same time. If you constrict the diameter too much while compressing the length any appreciable amount, you can restrict urine flow through the urethra. That’s why micro-chastity device cages only cover the glans of the penis. Those devices already compress the length of the penis to an extreme. By covering only the glans, it prevents compression of the shaft’s circumference at the same time. Urine flow through the uretha is not hampered.
I recommend using a soft tailor’s measuring tape to measure penis circumference. The measurement will be more accurate than trying to eyeball it by placing your penis on top of a ruler. You can pick up a soft tape for a dollar or two from most discount stores.
If you don’t have a tailor’s tape and don’t want to buy one, you can use the string method. Wrap a length of the
string (an old shoelace works well) snugly around your penis. Then mark with a felt pen where the end of your string touches the rest of the string. Stretch out your string along a ruler and see where the felt mark is. That’s the circumference.
The easiest and most accurate method of measuring for a base ring is to spend $25 to buy the plastic sizing ring assortment from Mature Metal. Then you will have actual rings to try on, wear, and experiment with until you find a comfortable fit.
You will find that you can get several different sizes on. The way you can know which one is the right size is by using the fingertip test. With a properly sized base ring, you should be able to easily insert one fingertip between your skin and the inside of the ring. If you can’t, the ring is too small. If you can get two or more fingertips inside, the ring is too large.
If you don’t want to spend the twenty-five bucks, you can go old school and use either the tailor’s measuring tape or string method described in the previous section.
The thing is, the base ring size isn’t usually going to be a problem. You can get that a little off and still be fine. One of the two base ring issues I mentioned earlier—the ring rides up during an attempted erection and digs painfully into the balls—isn’t a base ring problem. It’s a cage length problem. When the cage is too long, it encourages the erection to continue. The tip of the expanding penis pushes against the end of the cage, which causes the cage to pull against the base ring. That’s always uncomfortable.
