Why do people wear Chastity Belts? Do they really work? These are probably the most asked questions friends who know about my kink ask. Hopefully, the guide below will answer these and a few other common questions you might have about chastity. Please note all info refers to Stainless Steel Chastity Belts, made for serious and long term wear.
Many people all over the world actually use and wear Chastity Belts everyday. While I don’t and won’t claim that it is a common thing to do, but it is something that IS done, done safely, and hygenically. Why do people wear Chastity Belts??
This has to be the question often most asked. But, there is no one simple answer. Like most questions there are MANY correct answers. And for different people what is a valid reason to wear a Chastity Belt may not be a valid reason for someone else. The following list contains the list of reasons I know or heard of to wear a modern Chastity Belt. There are a couple of things to keep in mind while reading this list:
Note the list indicates which sex of wearer the reason applies to:
The belt can be worn to prevent the wearer from Masturbating.
The belt can be worn to prevent the wearer from having wanted heterosexual sex. Also to prevent the wearer from engaging in heterosexual sex with someone other than their partner.
The belt can be worn to prevent the wearer from recieving oral sexual stimulation.
The belt can be worn to prevent the wearer from being vaginally raped.
The belt can be worn to prevent the wearer from becoming erect.
The belt can be worn to arouse the wearer of the belt. (This is the classic “we tend to want more the things we cannot have” case. If you don’t believe it, try it. )
The belt can be worn as part of a sex scene, game, or play session.
The belt can be worn to assure a partner (the keyholder) of faithfullness in a relationship.
The belt can be worn to free the wearer’s mind of fear or guilt when interacting with members of the opposite sex. This one can be confusing. The idea is that the wearer can interact with, and be as friendly or flirtatious as they wish with members of the opposite sex, and the wearer can be secure in the idea that they cannot cheat on their partner, even if they or the other party wanted to. In other words, it frees people from hiding or supressing emotional attraction for people other than there lover.
The belt can be worn as a simple method of birth control.
The belt can be worn as part of a Dominant/Submissive relationship, or scene.
The belt can be worn to save a marriage or relationship where the partner to wear the belt has cheated on their spouse.
The belt can be worn by a single person who wishes to remain celibate until marriage.
The belt can be worn by a single person who wishes to remain a virgin until marriage.
The belt can be worn by a man who cannot have sex with his wife/girlfriend after childbirth.
A belt worn on a full time basis will help control the wearers weight. (The waist band will prevent you from eating too much. Hey if it isn’t a reason to wear a Chastity Belt, then call it a positive side effect.)
Husband/Wife Control. The wearer keeps the Chastity Belt on to deny the partner sex until some predetermined thing happens. The idea being that deprivation of sex will do the trick.
Anti Incest. Mother fits Daughter with belt to deter husband from wandering. (I truly hope that no one ever has to wear one for this reason!)
Menstruate In Peace. Wife wears belt during period to prevent husband getting into her on those days.
Anti-Seduction. A woman would wear the belt before going to parties, sleep overs, dates in order to prevent sex below the waist from occuring.
To compel a husband or lover to accept some other punishment. (Example: Wife wears belt until the lover has been caned, or whatever).
A Chastity Belt can be an excellent and shocking fashion accessory. (More for the ladies than the guys.)
(eg. The person might be involved with someone else.)
As a way of “getting in touch with one’s feminine side” For some, the belt is essentially a piece of TV apparel.

Do Chastity Belts really work?
Well the answer to this question depends on what you want a Chastity Belt to do. The following should help make this clear: The most basic reason for wearing a Chastity Belt is to prevent the wearer from engaging in heterosexual intercourse. So do Chastity Belts prevent the wearer from engaging in heterosexual intercourse?
Absolutely yes! Even a belt that fits poorly should prevent the wearer from participating in penile-vaginal intercourse, full stop! So do Chastity Belts prevent the wearer from having an orgasm?
This question has no simple answer. It depends on the person. For most women, the answer to this question is yes. For most men, the answer is also yes. But there are exceptions to this for both men and women. The fit of the belt is very, very important. If the belt fits poorly, the chances of the wearer being able to masturbate increase. But if the belt fits well, it is like a second skin, and masturbation is extremely difficult.
Are Chastity Belts made today secure?
Most certainly yes. Stainless steel is a very difficult substance to cut, especially when it is so close to skin and other “sensitive” areas of the body. It takes serious equipment to remove a belt without the key. I have not heard of someone cutting a belt off of their body.
Can a Chastity Belt be worn for long periods of time??

The downside of this is that no one else can wear the belt, except for someone with nearly the exact same measurements. When the belt is on it should feel like a “Second Skin”. By this I mean that it should be tight against the body, not too tight that it is painful, and not loose enough that you can get more than 2 fingers under the waistband or front shield.

Stainless steel DOES NOT RUST, so the belt will not corrode as the wearer wears it. Even urine, or other bodily secretions will not damage the belt. Also, the neoprine rubber edging will not come off or be damaged, except over very long periods (years) of use of the belt. If this does occur, the belt manufacturer will often times repair the belt or replace the neoprine for a small charge.
Neoprine and stainless steel do not adversely affect the skin. PVC Plastics can harm the skin over time from prolonged exposure. Steel and Neoprine do not affect the skin, and with good hygiene practices, you will not experience any skin damage or rash.
Stainless Steel Chastity Belts can be very hygenic. It does take some extra time to clean oneself after using the restroom, but it is not extremely difficult. Urination and defication can be done cleanly and effectively. I would recommend that the wearer clean themselves and the belt regularly to prevent any problems.
