Charlotte McKinney turned heads on the beach in Miami over the weekend.
The model-turned-actress , 27, posted a series of sexy bikini snaps on social media in which she flaunted her toned abs in a teeny-tiny black bikini.
McKinney seemed to be in good spirits despite the coronavirus pandemic pressing pause on her career in front of the camera.
Last month, she told Maxim magazine how she's been keeping in shape and staying mentally healthy during lockdown.
"Fitness plays a vital role in both my physical and mental health," she explained. "So it was important for me to try and implement a similar routine but in the safety of my home."
"I actually turned my guest room into a gym! I added portable heaters and a yoga mat so I could continue my hot pilates practice, and bought a trampoline for cardio," McKinney added.
The Florida native is best known for appearing as the GUESS Girl and in the viral Carl’s Jr. ad during Super Bowl XLIX but back in 2019, she told Social Life she’s focused on pursuing an acting career .
"Right now my main focus is really in the acting space, doing as many auditions as possible that fit my passion, one of which is comedy," McKinney revealed. "I think modeling will always be a part of my life, but acting is much more meaningful and what feeds my soul right now. We live in such a different, kinda crazy world right now, I do love the ability to laugh and poke fun at things. Not taking anything too seriously really is the name of the game right now."
In early 2020, she starred in the remake of "Fantasy Island."
"I really think there are a number of attributes that play into success, and this is a profession that I love and take very seriously," continued McKinney. "It all boils down to keeping yourself healthy, at the top of your game, and understanding which projects are perfect for where you are now, and where you want to be."
In addition to pursuing acting, McKinney is also a proud supporter of Best Buddies, a nonprofit organization that aims to create opportunities for those with developmental disabilities.
"It’s near and dear to my heart, and gives me a purpose in life and centers me," said McKinney. "Being a buddy to someone who has a developmental disability gives me a good feeling at the end of the day, and helps me step out of my day-to-day life in a very good way. I’ve been working with the organization since high school."

You're into being funny. How does that go down in the self-serious Zoolander modeling world?
My whole life, I'd walked into casting and I'd try and lighten it up—because everyone takes modeling so seriously, and I've just never understood it. But I'd say a joke and _no one would really get it. _So I was like, Ooo-o-o-o-o-okay, I will just not talk. But then there came a point in my career where I was like, Fuck it . This is who I am.
Modeling will always be my passion. But after seeing how bored and used to it I got, I did a small thing on Comedy Central for Tosh.0 , and then I was hooked. I love being on-set with funny guys, I like being on-set with camera guys. And then I did Joe Dirt 2 with David Spade, and the second I got on that set, I was just laughing.
I've been doing more auditions. And I'm coaching, because I'm dyslexic. So with me, it's really hard for me to remember stuff. When I read—I read stuff, I can read!— it doesn't register always. But it's a challenge, and I love it.
So are you taking calls, deciding what to do next?
I've gotten offered so much reality TV it's unreal. The second my Carl's Jr. came out, Ryan Seacrest Productions [snaps ] inviting me in, We wanna do a raw 24-hour Charlotte McKinney. No way! Because I want my career to last a long time. I'd rather work and build and perfect something than rush into some dumb thing and look stupid.
You've done reality TV— ** Dancing With the Stars ** . What was that like?
They just typecast me as the blonde bimbo. They're filming you all week during practices, and then they make a package for you. And it's just what_ they_ want to see! And so that really hurt me. Because every week, they would make it look like I was on my cell phone during this or that. If you're dancing every day for weeks on end, _you're gonna look at your phone. _You're gonna go crazy. You're gonna be a bitch. I was still shooting during all of it, too, so I'm still modeling _and _going to these practices. So I had meltdowns. But _of course _they don't show me before the show going to the Make a Wish Foundation kids, because no, that would make me look good.
So that hurt. But I learned a lot from it.
How would you peg your sense of humor?
I'm very dry. My mom's Canadian and my dad's Bahamian, so growing up, they were just witty. We just never took anything too seriously. I grew up with an older sister who's more prim and proper, and I was the younger sister who just did whatever the fuck she wanted. And got away with it. I guess I got a lot of my humor from my mother. Just a dry sense of humor—I'm very sarcastic.
What's the first thing you do when you get off-set?
I'm such a don't-wear-a-bra kinda girl. Take the makeup off—I'm like ripping lashes off and pulling down my hair. Because I'm not that kinda girl. And that's why I think guys connect with me.
Because I'm a real person! People look at me as more down to earth than other models, because at the end of a shoot, I'm kicking back with a cocktail and I'm joking about the set and how cheesy some of it was. So for me it's about stripping down. That's my favorite thing to do.
In the summer I love rosé. A little Whispering Angel never hurt anybody! But then if I'm really trying to get down, I just drink Tito's vodka. Tito's and water—to both kinda hydrate and get a little messed up.
When I was growing up, I was the problem child. It was so bad. That's why I feel like I'm not a partier now, because I did it at such a young age. So I had an older sister, and in the summertime we would go to the Bahamas. I was 14, and they would let me into these clubs. I had tits, that's all that mattered. So we'd go into these clubs and just get Cristal bottles, and I'm 14, thinking, This is so normal! I just would get blasted. Because you're 14, you just keep drinking, you're with guys, like, I'm 18! You know? They called me "Jail Bait" at a young age.
And then was it back to reality in the States?
There were times where I really did get in trouble. I'd be back in high school and parents would find out I had the vodka bottles. My parents would go away some weekends and my sister would be home and I'd just trash the house, I'd get so blasted, I'd be in the bathtub puking. It was a disaster.
And your sister would be ready to kill you.
My sister was so angry! She had her shit together. So I think high school was really hard for me. I didn't have a lot of friends, and I did kind of turn to drinking. I wasn't doing good in school, I was flunking. And I kind of had this party attitude_, don't give a fuck, fuck school, it's not going to do anything for me. _And girls didn't like me, I didn't like them. So I just kind of did my own thing. And I got in trouble a lot. And then my last year, senior year, I pulled it all together. I'm dropping out of school, I said I'm done, Mom and Dad, I'm going to Miami to model.
You've said that not a single place wanted to sign you.
I would walk into Ford. I would walk into Next. And they would just kind of laugh. Who is this 5'7" double-D girl? What are we going to do with her? And I'm like, we're in Miami, we're all in bikinis, I don't get it. I was just so dumbfounded. Because at the end of the day I'd be sitting across from some six-foot girl and she was flat, with long hair, and the industry was selling products for men, and as a kid I'd go—guys wanna sleep with this! [ Gestures to self ] Not that. And I didn't get it. So I'd say, _Fuck those agents, I know what guys like. _I know what sells at the end of the day. Because I got such reactions—on the street, I'd walk into a room, and think, there's no way no one can sign me.
Now, my manager who I've been with forever—who took me to Next in Miami [back in the day]—has a screenshot of a note that says, 'Wow, your girl's killing it—we really should have signed her.'
Did you always have this strong of a fight about breaking in?
I've always kind of had the determination, but it's funny, people don't know that I'm really insecure at the end of the day. I think that comes with comedy, the joking—as an "I'd rather make fun of myself before they do" kinda girl. And that's kind of how I've always been. With me, whether it's a relationship I'm in or something, I can be very insecure. I don't know if it's the guys I'm with, or people I'm around that don't make me feel the best.
And it's hard. I feel like a lot of models right now are comparing themselves to each other with Instagram and Twitter.
Instagram has changed how outsiders see models, but has it changed things for you guys from within?
I mean, you look at your phone and you're like, Fuck! She got that, I didn't get that. Fuck! She's on this, I'm on that, this is so embarrassing. Instagram—why I didn't really like it at the start, I just felt like it was such a bragging tool.
Plus all the Instagram model-cliques.
Exactly! There's the Kendall Jenner group, there's the Euro group, you have the model group that hangs out with the celebrities, and then there's just…me. It's so hard not to look at that stuff—they got invited here, and I didn't. But at the end of the day, instead of being a bragging model, I'd rather just be a role model. I do kinda look shitty today, I'm not always perfect, I'm not always at a cool club, or I do like to hang out by myself.
I've always liked a guy with power. A guy who can just walk into a room and get it done—walk in somewhere, do it, leave. If he doesn't make me laugh, that's always been a top thing, and getting my humor. If you don't get my humor, then it's just awkward and then I feel stupid. But looks aren't tops for me! I'm not like, He has to be six-foot, tall dark and handsome. Everyone's like, Charlotte, you're so hot, you could be with anyone, and this guy? And I'm like, I know but, he's really funny, you guys! I've dated really hot guys, I've dated really random guys.
One time I used to kind of hang out with this male model, this True Religion model. I mean_, gorgeous_. I can't even explain. Stunning. But—I couldn't even have a conversation with him. I would rather date the Fat Jewish than this guy. I mean, you're great to look at for a few hours, honey, but oh my _God. _
If I see a guy who has selfies. It's so uncomfortable. What if you walked in on your boyfriend, like, [ holds phone out, does duck-lips ]? No. All the GQ readers need to know, you can't do that anymore. Also deal breaker: Guys who are rude to valet or servers. The busboy is no different than you. If I'm with a guy in a bar or a club and he does that, I will make him feel shitty about himself. I'm like, _Go fuck yourself. _No one likes an asshole.
They're just trying to seem in-control of the situation.
When I see a guy tipping a homeless guy, that to me is more powerful.
You're our girl of summer—how would we treat you on a summer day?
An ideal day would be finishing with a massage. I'm a big spa rat. I can look over my credit card bill and be like, "What am I doing?! I could buy a house! I could just buy someone in, like, a random country and have them live with me and give massages!" So that could be a big thing for a guy. If a guy can give me a good massage, I don't care who are, we're going out.

She will appear in the highly-anticipated remake of the film, Baywatch.
And Charlotte McKinney certainly highlighted her envy-inducing bikini body that made her famous in the first place as she soaked in the sun on Sunday in Miami, Florida - in which she slipped into swimwear which battled to contain her super ample assets.
The 23-year-old model flaunted her heaving bosom and pert derriere in a barely-there, coral two-piece, which caused her some gripe as she battled to contain her chest from within the small bikini top.
Oh my! Charlotte McKinney struggled to contain her ample assets in a tiny bikini on Sunday in Miami, Florida
As she stood on the shoreline, the star pulled a myriad of sexy poses as her sandy blonde locks blew in the wind - making her picture perfect while lapping up the sunshine.
She paired her look with reflective Ray Ban aviator sunglasses and covered her face with just the right amount of natural make-up - helping flaunt the natural looks leading her to super stardom.
The Wilhelmina model was joined by her gal pal - who also wore a revealing thong bikini - as the two frolicked in the water before stealing a moment to snap pictures, taken by another friend.
