Charlie Cox Returns as Daredevil in Upcoming Disney Series 'Daredevil: Reborn'

Los Angeles, May 7, 2025 – Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) can rejoice as Charlie Cox is officially suiting up once again as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in the newly announced Disney series Daredevil: Reborn. The announcement was made today during Disney’s upfront presentation, confirming long-standing rumors about Cox’s return to the iconic role.

Cox first portrayed the blind vigilante in Netflix’s Daredevil (2015-2018), earning critical acclaim for his nuanced performance. After a brief but thrilling cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and a more substantial role in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), Cox’s full-fledged return has been highly anticipated.

Daredevil: Reborn is described as a fresh yet faithful continuation of the character’s story, blending the grittier tone of the original series with the expansive MCU. While plot details remain under wraps, sources suggest the show will explore Murdock’s struggle to balance his life as a lawyer with his nighttime vigilantism, while facing a dangerous new threat in Hell’s Kitchen.

Joining Cox are returning fan favorites Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, alongside new additions to the cast. The series is set to begin filming later this year, with a projected 2026 release.
