Cindy Crawford Shares Rare Photo of Her Siblings: ‘Sister Reunion’

There’s a good chance that you had no idea that Cindy Crawford had two grown sisters, so the iconic model recently took a moment to share a wonderful photo of the three together.
The 53-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday, November 3, to post a cute pic of herself smiling alongside her two sisters — Chris and Danielle. “Sister reunion,” the Fair Game actress wrote alongside the photo. Check out the full pic below!
A post shared by Cindy Crawford (@cindycrawford) on Nov 3, 2019 at 7:05am PST
People were of course all about the rare look, as they rushed to the comments section to respond. “Love your natural beauty and family values,” one follower said. “Sisters are the best!” another responded.
Aside from her two sisters, Cindy also had a brother, Jeffery, who tragically died of childhood leukemia at the age of 3. While this isn’t the first time that Cindy has shared a photo of her siblings on Instagram, it isn’t very common, as the duo mainly stay out of the spotlight. However, back in December of 2017, they did make an appearance on the social media platform.
“Walking in a winter wonderland with my sisters,” Cindy wrote next to a photo of the three in a snowy Colorado scene.
When she isn’t focusing on her siblings, Cindy is all about her own children — son Presley, 20, and daughter Kaia , 18. She shares both with her husband, Rande Gerber . And it should come as no surprise at all, but Cindy’s kids have gone down the same career route that she did — however, the Becoming author is all for it .
“I had no trepidation at all about saying yes to Kaia [becoming a model],” Cindy said while attending the “Their Lives in Pictures” panel at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion Summit in New York City on October 10. “I felt comfortable and I was like, ‘Go for it, have fun and I’m always here if you have a question.'”
“By the time Kaia started, she was pretty well-versed in designers and young photographers,” she continued. “She was prepared.”
“Now everyone’s a model in their everyday life,” Cindy added. “Every young person is modeling in their own life.”

Mother and Husband of Charity Crawford

No offense intended, but,

1. regarding Jerry Crawford - he may not be blood kin. Many black households after the Emancipation were combined families. Jerry may have been an elder who gathered together "probable" family and children of friends and provided for them , the title of papa or grandpa being a courtesy address .

2. All of Charity's children may not have had the same father, particularly those born in slavery.

3. She may not have legally married Mr. Walton. He may have been another slave, Slave marriages were seldom acknowledged by white record keepers. The "union" was called "jumping the broom" and though recognized as a marriage by other slaves, the fact that the woman had taken a mate of her own race did not preclude or prevent "visits" from white sperm donors

4. Charity is called "mulatto" meaning her biological father or one of her grandfathers was white . Many plantation owners were careful about race designations. Mulattos sold for more than pure black. Quadroons and octoroons were even more valuable because the "heavy" African features were reduced. The women were "prettier" by white standards of beauty.

Omg omg omg omg omg omg this is my fakilynthat im making a tree of and I’ve gotten stumped. My great grandmother is Juanita Walton and her father is George Washington Walton Jr, a tailor from Augusta GA. Charity Crawford is on my wiki tree and I have info for her provided there. I’m at a cross hairs JUST like you trying to see what their relationship is. I know my great great great grandfather is Geo Walton Sr, (his wife Isabella) a barber from Augusta GA but George born in 1870ish pops up twice. I have a pic of charity and Laura, her daughter

PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND OR CONTACT ME!!
Kandy we're working on it! Not sure about somethings, however there is a few question about Charity Walton I need answered... one is George Walton...  Also if she was actually the daughter of both Dilcy and Jerry Crawford...
Charity Walton born in approximately 1838 is the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth (Walton). Her eldest brother is George Washington Walton (husband of Isabella).

Charity is listed as George Washington Walton’s sister on a document I have. The same document states their father Thomas Jefferson is deceased and their mother Elizabeth is widowed. Elizabeth remarried Jerry Crawford and charity along with her children lived with them

Where are you guys getting ‘Dilcy’ at? I don’t see this person on any records

If you instruct me on how to upload photos here I will (navigating this site is overwhelmingly confusing for me)
Yes, I understand. However what I’m saying is thAt it would be a substantial coincidence that these charity’s have the same children and family with the same name ‘crawford’

The Charity that is related to me has a brother named George Walton and a sister named Sarah Walton. Her father is Thomas J Walton and her mother is ELIZABETH CRAWFORD ....Elizabeth’s parents are JERRY & Elizabeth Crawford

How do you upload photos or documents here? This site is unnecessarily ridiculous to navigate my gosh.

Either this is a coincidence of extremes or ....
KH something else we have to think about...   Let me know how you want to address this... up until now I've been leaving the additional parent out...

Charity Crawford was born sometime around 1837 in Augusta, Richmond, Georgia, United States where she grew up I'm assuming on a plantation.
Jerry Crawford is listed as her father, however I'm not sure if Dilcy is actually her mother because she would have been 14 years of age... Not saying it is impossible, however just a little questionable based on Charity's list as Mulatto...  Which brings me to this... George Walton is the son of Charity Walton (nee Crawford)...  Charity had six other children with Mr. Walton and I cannot find her union with Mr. Walton... Again I stress the fact that they're on a plantation in the mid 1800s.
3. Slave records??? Access/Where to look???
Thank in advance to anyone that can help! I'm stuck!
"Georgia, County Marriages, 1785-1950," database with images, FamilySearch ( https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FW44-YMC : 5 November 2017), Dilcy Crawford in entry for John Barnes and Charity Crawford , 05 Aug 1876 ; citing Marriage , Columbia, Georgia, United States, county courthouses, Georgia; FHL microfilm 847,789.
The link to the actual marriage documents are there for you to view...
Tell me what you think after you read that....
Kandy This is where we have not a match I'm sure... My Charity Walton is the wife of a Walton... She was born a Crawford....  If you review my source you will see what I'm talking about...  The name "Charity" very common name for those times and that are of Georgia in the United States was a Walton area (Black & White) which brings us to the redundancy in name... dig a little deeper and see if we have the same roots... maybe or maybe not...
Let me know if you need additional help!
Kandy ok with that in mind can you please post the links and update Charity Walton to include her brother, sister etc.?
The documents that you have area they already online?????  If they are please just link them here... i'm assuming you download them from somewhere if you wanted put them into play for source...
Here we go!  You answered the question and it took me a minute to read into what you're saying to me.... you are correct! This is very confusing!
When Elizabeth Walton married Jerry Crawford Charity took the Crawford surname as her own...
On the 1880 U.S. Census Jerry Crawford is listed as the Grandfather
"United States Census, 1880," database with images, FamilySearch ( https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/M8GR-7TF : 22 August 2017), Jerry Crawford in household of Charity Walton, Augusta, Richmond, Georgia, United States; citing enumeration district ED 100, sheet 366B, NARA microfilm publication T9 (Washington D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.), roll 0163; FHL microfilm 1,254,163.

I am also sure Sallie Walton is not a daughter, rather than a sister-in-law or wife of Uncle Aaron... Do you have notes on this???
Kandy here we go... You are correct and we really have to sit down and work this out...  Jerry was Married twice that I can document, however since we're talking about Mulatto and Black persons we have to assume that they were slave during this time frame... They may have been more freely to live than other slaves in neighboring settlements and plantations, however the documentation is still not available unless you physically have it in your custody because I do not....
Born about 1812 in Georgia, United States
Died about 1886 in Georgia, United States
Husband of Dilcy Crawford — married about 1837 (to about 1869) in Georgia, United States
Husband of Elizabeth Crawford — married about 1869 in Georgia, United States
T his is why we're here discussing this...  I was sure Dilcy was not Charity's biological mother...  so you answered my question and I hope I answered yours...  we need to sit down and go over what we have and lay it all out so we can put this all together correctly!  I cannot assume you know what I know and I know what you know... we're going to need each other on this one cousin!!!!!!!!!!
On the census you have on the profile, Jerry Crawford is designated her grandfather. Also if this is her, the 1910 census lists Charity as the widow Henson
Year: 1910 ; Census Place: Augusta Ward 3, Richmond, Georgia ; Roll: T624_210 ; Page: 3B ; Enumeration District: 0057 ; FHL microfilm: 1374223
If you look at the actual marriage document for John Barnes , the Charity he's marrying is a WIDOW
Eddie thanks for looking at that! I knew you could help out!  Let's see if we can figure it all out in the next few years! This one is a beast!
