Chad closes border with Sudan

The Chadian authorities have closed all border crossings with Sudan, including those through which humanitarian aid from foreign organizations passes.

This happened after violent clashes between Chadian forces and the Rapid Reaction Force (RDF), which entered the territory after attempting to seize control of the border town of Atina. According to RT, 13 Chadian soldiers were killed in the clashes.

On Saturday, the RDB launched an offensive on the town of At-Tina, which is considered the last stronghold of the army in the Darfur region. Fierce battles broke out between the sides, which ended with the defeat of the SBR, the seizure of their equipment and the capture of several of their commanders.
