"Thank you universe for allowing me to be here & thanks to everyone who has supported me. 2020 was a year unlike any other," Van Ness began the caption of his post. "I got to campaign & get more involved politically. I finished my tour in Australia & NZ for what I didn’t know would be my last standup show for who knows how long."
Then, the television personality revealed his exciting personal news, writing, "I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with."
Although Van Ness didn't tag his husband in the post, he did share a photo of what appears to be their nuptials alongside the message.
Brandon Larracuente and Jazmin wedding
The actor wed his longtime girlfriend, Garcia, in an “intimate and magical” ceremony on Dec. 8, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed.

Lugo wore a stunning white dress for the second round of nuptials, while McGeady dressed for the occasion in a fancy black and white suit.
According to Us Weekly, the couple's wedding party was made up of their children: McGeady's son, Jack, 14, was his best man, while his daughter Elise, 10, served as Lugo's maid of honor. Lugo's son Connor, 10, walked her down the aisle. Guests wore masks and stayed eight feet apart.
Stewart and McGraw officially tied to knot on Dec. 9 in a private wedding ceremony, several months after getting engaged and announcing that they are expecting their first child together.

The New York City-based financial analyst, who is the youngest son of King Constantine III of Greece, tied the knot with VistaJet aviation heiress, Nina Flohr, on Dec. 12 at the exclusive Swiss ski resort of St. Moritz.
“Just married (civilly) ,” Nina posted on Instagram on Dec. 15 alongside an image of her cuddling close to Philippos in a chic white Chanel suit.
Due to Switzerland’s strict Covid-19 restrictions, only the couple’s fathers King Constantine (Prince William's godfather) and Thomas Flohr were present at the civil ceremony, which will reportedly be followed by a religious service in 2021.
Olympian Chari Hawkins Ties the Knot
Hawkins just lept into married life.
The American track and field athlete married longtime love O'Neal III on Sept. 27, PEOPLE confirmed exclusively.
The happy couple, who met in 2010 in a training group for the Utah State University track and field team and got engaged in May 2017, said "I do" at River Bottoms Ranch in Midway, Utah.
Hawkins said she and O'Neal III were tested for coronavirus before and after the indoor and outdoor event, which was limited to just close family and friends due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Temperature checks were taken on-site, and guests were seated by household or family. All tables and seating areas were situated six-feet apart, and food was served plated. Sanitation stations were available throughout the venue and face masks were provided to those who arrived without.
"Our goal was to follow all state and county guidelines to ensure that we had a safe and successful event," the heptathlete tells PEOPLE, noting, "We also proactively created our wedding to be more static than interactive as an additional precaution."
The Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop married his girlfriend on Dec. 5 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, near Nashville.
The couple — who started dating while in high school — got engaged last December. Van Ham does social media for Melissa's Produce.
Seager and Van Ham's ceremony and reception were held at Saddle Woods Farm, as coordinated by Sara Fried, celebrity wedding planner and owner of Fête Nashville Luxury Weddings.
In order to make the wedding safe for guests, temperature checks and COVID-19 screenings were performed on-site by a nurse. Guests also signed waivers upon arrival stating that they had no contact with anyone infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days, that they have not exhibited symptoms and that they are attending the event at their own risk. Masks were required for all guests and wedding staff, and plexiglass dividers were set up at food stations.
The American Horror Story star, 26, secretly tied the knot with her now-husband, filmmaker Hadley Klein, 37, on Aug. 8.
"Married my best friend," she captioned an Instagram photo, which was taken during what appears to be their intimate ceremony.
Klein shared an identical post, captioning his, "Still feeling thankful this year ✌🏼."
The lovebirds seemingly held their nuptials safely amid the coronavirus pandemic as Farmiga is pictured wearing a cute, white face mask embellished with the word "Bride." No wedding guests can be seen in the photo, which also captures the happy couple's wedding cake.
The Big Mouth co-creator/star and girlfriend Lily Kwong tied the knot earlier this month, the couple revealed on Instagram on Nov. 26.
According to Kwong's post, the pair wed on Nov. 19 in what appeared to be a romantic cliffside ceremony that overlooked the water.
Both Kroll and Kwong, a landscape architect, posted a photo of a polaroid taken from their special day. In the sweet photo, the couple is seen holding hands and looking into each other's eyes while in their wedding attire.
"So very thankful for @lily_kwong," Kroll captioned the sweet snap.
Kwong posted the same photo to her Instagram, writing in her caption, "11•19•20 + forever @nickkroll ♥️."

The "Ain't Always the Cowboy" singer, 35, and the hairstylist, 31, said “I do” at Saddle Woods Farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on Nov. 21, after canceling their plans for a Memorial Day weekend destination wedding due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"With so much of our families being in California we had to make the tough decision to downsize (drastically) twice, and we ended up with a small group of just our immediate family and closest friends in town," Duncan, who worked with Habitat Events to plan the local wedding, said. "We hope to eventually have a 'wedding tour' as Jon calls it and celebrate with all our family and friends in California, Nashville and Texas."
The couple took a number of precautions amid the ongoing pandemic, including having all of their guests tested prior to the wedding. They also traded the original buffet for a sit-down dinner at spaced-apart tables and had sanitation stations and custom "Parditime" masks available for guests. The majority of the ceremony and reception took place in a flex indoor/outdoor space with heaters.
Scott Thomas and Lexia Chamryk wedding
Parmalee drummer Scott Thomas tied the knot with Lexia Chamryk on Oct. 12 in an intimate — and spontaneous! — Las Vegas ceremony, PEOPLE exclusively revealed on Nov. 6.
Chamryk and Thomas told PEOPLE that they always wanted a "minimal" celebration, so they chose to get married at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
"Scott and I were unsure how we felt about the ceremonial aspects of a traditional marriage, so we decided to pay homage to our showbiz heroes and roll up to the Vegas chapel that shared a parking lot with the chapel in which my parents tied the knot 22 years ago," said Chamryk, who works as a concert promoter.
The night was a mix of "highbrow and lowbrow" celebrations and the couple — and their handful of guests — drank martinis and ate pizza at Vegas casinos.
"We always knew the ceremony would be minimal and thrown together in an 'everyone feels comfortable to let their hair down' way. However, we didn't plan for this low-key," Chamryk added. "When COVID hit, it was the perfect excuse to do it exactly how we wanted to — our own way."
The Voice alum Emily Ann Roberts and high school sweetheart Chris Sasser are married! PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that after five years of dating, the pair wed in an afternoon service on the picturesque grounds of Marblegate Farm in Friendsville, Tennessee.

"A piece of advice we're taking into our marriage with us is to always talk things out," Roberts told PEOPLE. "We've both learned in every other relationship in our lives how important honesty and communication is. We know it is even more important to always be on the same page to make a marriage work."

The realtor was engaged to former Bachelor Ben Flajnik before they split in 2012. She met Preciado, an attorney, last year when he liked some of her photos on Instagram and she direct messaged him on the app.
