Each of these 15 badass cars was once owned and loved by a celebrity, and right now they're up for grabs.
Most cars on the used market don't have much of a story behind them. Their history mostly consists of a series of simple financial transactions between parties. No famous names, no drama. It doesn't make for exciting reading.
That's why there is a definite buzz when it comes to vehicles that were previously owned by celebrities of the Hollywood variety. We're talking about cars significantly driven and/or owned by (mostly) well-known television and movie personalities. If you are going to buy a 1981 Caprice Classic, wouldn't you want it to have been driven by Alan Alda while he was making M.A.S.H. ?
Star-powered cars provide that little something extra to the backstory of a vintage automobile . And that something extra usually translates to an increased total value in the asking price. Here are 15 vehicles once driven by famous people that were for sale at the time of publication.
If you're a fan of Duck Dynasty , enjoy top-selling hunting videos, or just like over-priced pickup trucks, someone has a deal for you. Willie Robertson is putting out the call that he is parting ways with his 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4. "It even comes with a Robertson family autographed hat," claims the classified listing.
This California-kept, S2 Continental Park Ward Convertible previously owned by Nicolas Cage is easily one of the nicest on the planet. The burgundy on tan left-hand drive dream machine is one of only 20 shipped to the United States that year. It has a lot of power goodies, too, like steering, windows, a power top, and crisp air conditioning.
A ZZ Top concert inspired Rusty Wallace to make his own version of Billy Gibbons' famed Ford 3 Window "Eliminator" Coupe and this is the result. Robert Yates Racing Engines supplied a fuel-injected 351 Ford SVO Engine with a Henry Dana chosen Ford C-6 transmission. This rocking car - stored in a climate-controlled environment - has never been driven in bad weather.
This is your chance to own Richard Gere's 1963 Corvette C2 Convertible as seen in the film, Internal Affairs . It was Gere's personal driver in the movie. After filming, an employee of the production company snatched it up and "pampered" the Stingray and its date correct 300 hp 327 engine ever since.
Not only is this super-rare, 1969 Dodge Hemi Daytona one of eleven four-speeds left in the world, it also has the original motor, interior and body, and only 6,000 miles on the clock. It also features previous celebrity ownership by none other than Joe Dirt himself, actor and comedian David Spade. It's also extremely expensive at $835,000.
Bob Hope made this car famous by regularly driving this one-of-a-kind 1948 Mercury Templeton Saturn around Hollywood. The bespoke-built combination of Chrysler, Mercury, Chevy, Dodge, and Pontiac parts is powered by a 239.4 cubic inch flathead V8 with a pair of 2-barrel Stromberg 94 carbs. This multiple award-winner also has an airplane-style cockpit.
At the end of 1961, actor Steve McQueen bought this Cooper right after it secured a European Formula Junior Championship. He later competed in the car, earning racing's respect, but had to give up his dreams due to Hollywood's legal department. One of 30 left, this race-ready restoration certainly has a story to tell.
Up for auction at Mecum Indy 2020 is a stunning Raven Black Mustang Boss 429 previously owned by actor Paul Walker. The 429-cubic inch V-8 was straight out of NASCAR and such a monster Kar Kraft had to squeeze it in there. Only 14,575 miles on the ticker. The interior looks as great as you would expect.
This 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo is famous on its own. "Monte Fuego" was featured in two episodes of Overhaulin' and there's a Johnny Lightning die-cast toy car of the damned thing. It does show 76,974 miles, but who cares when it sports a Vortech Supercharged ZZ4 small block chevy, Art Carr 200-4R overdrive transmission, and original Foose wheels.
TV legend David Letterman used to own this jaw-dropping 1965 Ferrari 275 GTS as part of his famous car collection. It's a trophy winner complete with books and tools and banging Borrani wire wheels. Still cranking the original 3.3-liter V-12 with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Lovingly restored and Top Ten List worthy.
This one's a little dark ... For sale is a 37-foot, 1987 Winnebago previously owned by Diff'rent Strokes star Dana Plato. The troubled actress spent her final days in this camper, actually dying in the thing. It has 46,000 miles and at least one ghost. Plato's estate says the camper hasn't been touched since she died in 1999.
American racecar driver Scott Pruett didn't spend much time behind the wheel of his red on black 2018 Ford GT Dan Gurney Heritage Edition. It only shows twelve miles on the odometer. He took his dad for a drive, that's about it. The car is mint all around and ready to be picked up in sunny Scotts Valley, California.
This is no joke. You can buy Richard Pryor's 78,385-mile, 1981 280 Mercedes-Benz Coupe. It is black on black with a 2.8-liter inline-six. Much like Pryor at the time, it was fully loaded with power windows, power locks, automatic transmission, and a rear window defroster. The price includes with Pryor's name on the vehicle registration.
You may remember The Brady Bunch , a TV show about a ridiculously large family. One of the show's stars, Barry Williams (who played Greg), went Ferrari shopping and ended up with a black on black 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS. The fuel-injected V8 with a manual transmission has only 28,578 original miles and is simply divine.
NASCAR Hall of Famer David Pearson drove this epic 1968 Ford Torino during two different chapters of his life. First, he raced it for a season back in 1968. In 2000, he was reunited with his beloved ride through a fateful purchase and loving restoration. He eventually put it back on the market, but not before signing the dashboard.

We all know celebrities are sitting on mammoth amounts of money . While we can only dream of what their luxurious lives might be like, their car collections give us an insight into their opulence. For the average middle class car buyer, owning a vehicle above $25,000 seems like a massive expense. However, the highest paid celebrities buy cars that easily exceed hundreds of thousands of dollars — sometimes millions.
Celebrity cars also offer insight into the character of our favorite musicians, actors and actresses, and reality television stars. Some prefer the class of vintage cars while others prefer extravagance and speed with cars reaching well over 200 miles per hour.
Here is a rundown of 25 of the most expensive celebrity cars, chosen not just for the sake of making your salary feel inferior, but to give a feel for how the world’s celebrities express themselves through their prized vehicles.
Over the past decade, David Beckham has shot from niche soccer fame to full-on celebrity stardom. With an onslaught of endorsements, the English superstar has been able to afford an impressive coterie of luxury vehicles. His sleek and extravagant Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead is one of his most expensive modes of transport due to numerous customizations and a set of Savini Forged Wheels.
The Maybach 57 Coupe is one of Mercedes-Benz’s most ostentatious cars to date, so naturally Rick Ross owns one. The wildly successful rapper stuffs his verses with braggadocio about wealth and power, which is undeniably validated by the Maybach 57’s ultra-premium features.
Since his exit from the late night television circuit, Jay Leno has continued to expand his fame through his unprecedented car collection. The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is one of Leno’s favorite luxury toys, due to its high performance and sleek design. Its handling is unmatched and manages to provide comfort while steering like a dream around hairpin turns.
Nicolas Cage is well known for being one of the highest paid actors in the movie business. Therefore, it only makes sense that his affection for cars matches his staggering pay. Cage’s Ferrari Enzo matches his flashy and show-stealing attitude with its massive doors and extreme curves.
Since the end of Seinfeld , Jerry Seinfeld has found ongoing success with his popular YouTube series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee . In the show, Seinfeld interviews everyone from Barack Obama to Steve Martin while cruising in ridiculously expensive cars. The Porsche 959 is Seinfeld’s own big-ticket vehicle, which nets a high price due to its outrages top speed of 195 miles per hour.
While birthdays can seem mundane for those without beaucoup money, celebrities get to enjoy Richie Rich-style presents every year. When they first started dating, Kim Kardashian surprised Kanye West with the high-performance Lamborghini Aventador. Unfortunately, the jet black car suffered severe damage when Kardashian’s electric gates closed on it.
The highly-coveted Bugatti Veyron is a favorite of many celebrities due to its unmatched performance and unmatched design work courtesy of Volkswagen’s Jozef Kaba?. Buyers have the option to customize Veyrons, leading some to tack on exorbitantly expensive additions. Reality TV mogul Cowell owns one of the most expensive versions, which blends well with his other flashy vehicles such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Cash Money Records is one of the most influential hip-hop labels in the world with alumni including Lil’ Wayne and Nicki Minaj. As a co-founder, rapper and executive Birdman has been able to reap the rewards of his label’s massive successes in the form of a multi-million dollar Bugatti Veyron. Currently, the Veyron is the fastest car permitted on the road with a top speed of 253 miles per hour.
The Kardashian media dynasty is flush with wealth, and its family members aren’t scared of flaunting their opulence. Kim Kardashian can often be seen driving around in her powerful Ferrari F430. While $186,925 is much more than most make in a year, the high price is a drop in the bucket for the popular reality TV star.
Justin Combs might be the most spoiled teenager in the world. While most are lucky to receive a clunker on their sixteenth birthday, P. Diddy gifted his son a brand new Maybach. However, reports say the young Combs can only drive it on special occasions, which is a wise choice given its absurd price tag.
Jay-Z has never been one for modesty. The world-famous rapper and businessman has consistently been one of the wealthiest musicians in the hip-hop sphere. He often flaunts his wealth and status with help from his $8 million Maybach Exelero. In the music video for “Lost One,” Jay prominently featured the car to amp up his legendary braggadocio.
Not to be outdone by Cash Money counterpart and former mentor Birdman, rapper Lil’ Wayne has his own pricey Bugatti Veyron. His version features a matte black finish and other customizations that contributed to the outrageous $2.7 million price tag.
Paris Hilton is known for many things, but modesty is not one of them. The international celebrity and reality TV superstar extends her flashy personality into the cars she drives. The car tuners at West Coast Customs tweaked her Bentley GT Continental to be completely pink. While the color looks almost nauseating, it’s a fitting complement to Hilton’s fame.
50 Cent may be sliding into irrelevancy without any recent chart-topping hits, but the New York rapper can still afford to ride in extreme luxury. His custom-painted Murciélago features a slender build with a high-powered engine, combining style and strength into one complete package.
Sometimes even wealthy rappers need a little boost from reality TV shows in order to fund their dream cars. The Game went to Instagram after he purchased his own Bugatti Veyron to thank VH1 for, “pitching in on the Bugatti for my bday.” The Veyron adds to his impressive collection of expensive cars including a leather-wrapped Ferrari F430 and Porsche Panamera with a gold chrome finish.
Since the breakout success of his 2008 single “Low,” Flo Rida has steadily became one of the most successful rappers to date. His newfound success has afforded him a gold-wrapped Bugatti Veyron, a popular status symbol among wealthy musicians. Some even speculate that the wheels are 24 karat gold, which would fit in nicely with Flo Rida’s extravagant lifestyle.
While most celebrities veer towards the latest sports cars, Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason went backwards in time to find his dream car. Mason dropped a cool $25 million on the famous Ferrari 250 GTO. The classic sports car remains one of Ferrari’s most coveted vehicles for its iconic design and high-performance capabilities.
In 2012, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler purchased one of the fastest cars of all time. The Hennessey Venom GT Spider features a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine, which recently set a new record for speed that reached 265 miles per hour. One can only imagine where someone would find the space to reach such a speed, but it must make Tyler feel good knowing he could top 250 miles per hour if he felt like it.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather’s nickname is “Money,” and his opulent car collection reaffirms that title. In 2015, Mayweather purchased a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, which is only the third car of its model in the entire world. Boasting a race car-styled design and a top speed of 254 miles per hour, the Trevita is one of the rarest and most expensive celebrity cars out there.
Most notably known for her appearance in the rom-com My Sassy Girl , the South Korean actress Gianna Jun is one of the most popular celebrities in her home country. She is known for landing lucrative endorsement deals, which have allowed her to enjoy a life of financial comfort. That life includes a Bentley Continental Flying Spur, a high-class vehicle valued for its extravagant luxuries.
The children of celebrities will never have to know the hard-earned gratitude that comes when dealing with a first car that barely works. Instead of a rough hand-me-down, Kendall Jenner of the Kardashian clan received a $90,000 Range Rover SUV on her sixteenth birthday. Jenner has since upgraded her model, but her birthday present remains a stark signifier of extreme wealth.
Most people try to keep their car for its entire lifespan, but most celebrities ditch their cars in a couple years. Singer Miley Cyrus has held onto her Porsche Cayenne GTS for roughly three years now. The spacious SUV is a far more sensible vehicle than other celebrity super cars, but still maintains a comparable level of luxury.
Considering he purchased his son a $400,000 Maybach, it only seemed fitting that P. Diddy owned a car with an even bigger price tag. His Phantom Drophead Coupe is the most expensive car in the Rolls-Royce arsenal, with a luxurious interior and stylish design.
Some celebrities go for the high-performance sports cars, some go for the throwback classic cars, and others just want a giant souped-up truck. Atlanta Hawks players Joe Johnson dropped a w
