Celeb Jihad is a website known for sharing leaked private (often sexual) videos of celebrities as a form of jihad satire. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] The Daily Beast describes it as a "satirical celebrity gossip website." [6]

The website describes itself as "a satirical website containing published rumors, speculation, assumptions, opinions, fiction as well as factual information". [7] The site lists its owner as "Durka Durka Mohammad" a fictitious terrorist whose goal is "destroying the poisonous celebrity culture " of America. [8]

The website has participated in a series of releases of images and video, generally believed to have been stolen from hacked cell phones, dubbed " Fappening 2.0". In August 2017 it released nude pictures of Lindsey Vonn , Tiger Woods , Miley Cyrus , Kristen Stewart , and Katharine McPhee . The image of Woods and Vonn, posted August 21, was suppressed in apparent reaction to legal threats on August 23; images of Carly Booth were deleted August 23 or 24. [9] In November 2017 Celeb Jihad released naked images of WWE divas Saraya-Jade Bevis , JoJo Offerman , and Maria Kanellis , the latest in a long series of similar leaks of WWE celebrity images. [10] [11] The website has also released fake nude photos of female celebrities, including doctored photos of Meghan Markle , Taylor Swift , Megan Fox and Kate Upton . [12]

Celeb Jihad is at it again. The notorious website known for leaking nude photos allegedly exposed private pictures of A-list stars like Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart , Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods Monday. Cyrus and Stewart did not immediately respond to the hack, though Vonn issued a statement about the gross invasion of privacy.
Celeb Jihad is a website that contains hundreds of graphic photos of celebrities. While some of them are fake, many of them are authentic.
In their “About” section, Celeb Jihad makes no apologies for exposing private pictures of prominent figures. “Read our disclaimer before you b----. If you don’t like our sense of humor please let us know, so that we can laugh at you,” they write.
They then share a strange story about the fictional character from the 2004 comedy “Team America: World Police.”
“Durka Durka Mohammed was born into a poor goat herding family in Kandahar, Afghanistan. At an early age Durka was diagnosed with what the local doctor called ‘Camel Spit for Brains.’ Durka’s family was ashamed of his condition, so they kept him confined to their goat farm. This was fine with Durka Durka because he loved goats… a lot,” part of their description reads. “Tragically soon after returning to America, Durka’s adopted parents simultaneously committed suicide by repeatedly stabbing themselves in the back with a scimitar, and then lighting themselves on fire. Durka used the insurance money he collected from their deaths to study at the prestigious Riyadh College of Veterinary Medicine, were he received his masters in goat science.”
The story continues, with Durka ultimately wanting to destroy “the poisonous celebrity culture that had killed her. So Durka traveled back to America to the heart of the beast in Los Angeles, and formed the holy Islamic extremist gossip site CelebJihad.com. The rest as they say is history.”
While Celeb Jihad makes no apologies for blasting intimate photos, Vonn and Woods issued a statement to People Magazine both confirming and condemning the hack. The naked pictures were taken before their 2015 split.
“It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos,” Vonn's representative said in a statement Monday. “Lindsey will take all necessary and appropriate legal action to protect and enforce her rights and interests. She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.”
Sadly, leaks like this are all too common. In April, nude photos of celebrities like Amanda Seyfried and Emma Watson leaked. The first time a hack of this scale occurred was in 2014 and was dubbed “The Fappeneing.”
Like Vonn, Seyfried threatened legal action. “It recently has come to our client's attention that, without the authorization of our client or the copyright holder, several very private photographs of Ms. Seyfried either in various states of nudity or intimate moments with her former boyfriend (the 'Seyfried Photographs') have been reproduced and posted,” Seyfried's lawyer told TMZ when the incident occured.
