Most applicants will start as customer service agents which is mostly answering phone calls and assisting callers with resolutions on past due accounts. I am always learning something new everyday here which keeps the job interesting. There are standards and metrics that are calculated to determine what individual goals should be and management does a great job helping their employees meet these goals. The hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult callers, but that is the nature of the job. Not every caller is going to be reasonable and pleasant, but you could say the same for customers in any line of work. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is honestly the people I work with. They try very hard to keep employees happy because the job itself is really difficult. The culture is really good and everyone is very helpful. The CCS Companies is a family owned company and is a good place to work. Days on the phones can be very busy, but the supervisors and management work to help you have the best day possible. They go above and beyond to secure client contracts and make new opportunities available to their employees. Additionally, they have a highly efficient compensation and training structure. This leads to a lot of frustration, communication breakdowns, and anger at other departments, their supervisors, and non-exempt workers. Benefits are not good and upper management never changes hands so longstanding problems are never solved. This company is notorious for micromanaging their employees time down to the second, and negatively criticizing any and all performance. I would not recommend this company unless you are desperate. Professional yet fun work place. CCS companies is a highly respected collections company that focuses on meeting all of our clients needs. This job consisted of inbound and outgoing calls made throughout the day non stop. To work in this environment you have to be determined but also very patient and respectful, because not everyone likes getting called because of a bill they owe and our job was to make sure the debtor understood why they are getting the bill and how we can help them resolve it. The hardest part of this job is dealing with an angry debtor because at all times you had to make sure you never loose your composure and keep calm. But the best part of this job was the great compensation we got when we would get payments specially big amounts, because that meant we would get a bonus aside from our regular weekly check. Overall this job was a great experience and i learned a whole lot from it. I had so much fun working for CCS Companies, if you like clerical work this is the place for you.
