To begin with I don't think this game was meant to be taken serious like most you seem* to be doing, but none the less you all have good points, and make sense; however though this is not like most games today this is more of a 90's humoring classic setup for a game with visual art/novel.* Understand this difference!! Now as to the money question who care's how it was used not everyone will like the game that is expected with all games in general usually okay. The last thing I could say is at least this person was successful at getting greenlit, and tried their best to entertain people. That's all I have to say Blessed Be, -Strive.

Known as nekomusume in Japanese, an anime classic, the catgirl has been a staple of anime for decades and has persevered in popularity until today.
There are many catgirls featured in anime, especially if they fall within the fantasy or isekai genres. There are even some anime that focus entirely on these catgirls, both as the protagonists and love interests.
However, some catgirls absolutely embrace their inner felines more than others. From Karyl's cat-like movements in Princess Connect! Re: Dive to Tin Nyanko's own cat-themed attire in Sailor Moon , these anime catgirls are both cute and embrace all the catlike parts of themselves along with it.
Kyaru from Princess Connect! Re: Dive is sent by the evil Kaiser Insight. Her main mission was to keep an eye on Yuuki and eventually assassinate Pecorine. However, she got close to both targets, making her hesitate about whether she should go through with her mission. In addition to her cat ears and tail, Karyl is shown to be an excellent climber and often sneaks around much like how a cat moves.
Chocola is one of several catgirls featured in Nekopara , a visual novel that also has an anime OVA adaptation. She is Vanilla's twin and the youngest of the catgirls. In addition to her cat ears and tail, she also wears a bell around her neck. Her happy-go-lucky personality fits well with her tendency to not think things through before leaping into action, much like an actual cat. She helps out the protagonist at his bakery after she and Vanilla stow away in a cardboard box to move to the bakery's area with him.
Alicia Rue is a catgirl from Sword Art Online . Unlike many other catgirls, however, her cat ears are located at the side of her head rather than on top. Additionally, she wears a bell collar and uses clawed weapons to emphasize her cat-like qualities.
She appeared in the Fairy Dance Arc of the anime and is also the Lord of the Cait Sith race in ALfheim Online, which explains her cat-centric appearance in the game.
Blair from Soul Eater , while also a catgirl, can transform between being a full cat and her regular human form. Blair is a cat witch in the series, though she was briefly mistaken for a regular human witch by Maka and Soul Eater themselves. In addition to having cat ears and a tail, she also has fangs in her mouth that resemble a cat's. In her actual cat form, she looks like a completely purple cat with yellow eyes, with a smaller witch's hat and collar.
Even though this catgirl only lasted for one episode in Sailor Moon , Nekonneru is a daimon who was sent by Kaolinite to collect the pure heart of a cat lover. In addition to her own cat ears and tail, she also wears a collar around her neck. Her polka-dotted dress reminded viewers of spotted cats in particular due to its design. Despite her feline nature, she was a fairly hard daimon to defeat. Her tail is capable of stretching, and she can choke and beat up enemies with it.
Sailor Moon had another catgirl-themed villain featured later in the series with Sailor Tin Nyanko. Unlike Nekonneru, this villainlast far longer than one episode and was under the control of Sailor Galaxia .
She wears a cat-style suit, complete with cat ears, a tail, and even a collar around her neck. Despite her feline nature, she was tricky to defeat and even sabotaged her fellow Sailor Animamates to become the last one standing. She was partially freed from Galaxia's control after a fight with Sailor Moon, but this led to Nyanko suffering thanks to her good self and the Galaxia-controlled self fighting for dominance. After Galaxia noticed this, she decided to kill her off for good.
Dejiko, also known as Di Gi Charat from the anime of the same name, is a catgirl completely in her appearance and mannerisms. In addition to her cat ears and tail, she wears three bells; one around her neck, and two in her hair. The hat she wears also resembles a cat's face, adding to the cuteness of her cat-like appearance. Whenever she speaks, she ends her sentences with the sound 'nyo' in imitation of a cat's meowing. Even though she is an adorable mascot of her own anime, she's also powerful.
Ichigo Momoiya from Tokyo Mew Mew is the main protagonist of her anime and is the leader of the Mew Mews. When she transforms, she appears complete with cat ears, a collar, and a tail.
She can also transform into an actual cat form in addition to these physical traits. It's also revealed in the anime that her DNA was merged with an Iriomote cat, making her literally part cat in reality.
Neferpitou is a deadly, cat-like Chimera Ant from Hunter X Hunter who used their skills to kill Kite and later reanimate his corpse as a training tool for their fellow Chimera Ant soldiers. They have a cat tail and ears to show off their cat-like traits, and Neferpitou is also often seen licking their own paws throughout their run on the show, to add to their cat-like traits. Neferpitou killing Kite drew Gon's ire since they hurt and killed Kite, who was close to Gon by that point at the anime as a friend and mentor .
Eris from Cat Planet Cuties is a sixteen-year-old scout the Caitan people sent to explore Earth. She took chemicals to prematurely end her first heat to continue her duties as ambassador of the Caitan people. In addition to her cat ears and tail, she also befriends many other actual cats during her time on Earth. During her time on Earth, she also ends up falling romantically for Kio.
