Anyway, you don't get bored living with Timmy: Monday noon, five to one, he came home - dripping wet :-(( I needed 5 towels to get him halfway dry. He wanted to go out right away (for a revange I assume), but I locked the cat flap - grounded him until he was dry!
Besides, it was already his bedtime anyway ;-)
My neighbor told me what I had suspected: he had a fight with Sammy. It was a pretty wild freestyle catfight and the two could not be impressed by her attempts to drive them apart by shouting from the edge of the creek. But why the two go to the middle of the creek to wrestle, they probably do not know themselves :-)
Next morning in bed I checked how many new little crusts he has - about three. The last ones were hardly healed properly :-(((
Sammy's mom told me later that Sammy had some blood on one paw, but it soon stopped bleeding. We are thinking about charging admission next time because several neighbors had watched the cat fight. I guess they were a bit loud (the cats, not the neighbours) :-)
Two days before this fight they sat together on the temporary bridge and this looked peaceful:

Cats will be cats - even big ones. From my viewing platform looking down on these two snow leopards I was just about to take a quiet shot. But in a flash these two decided to have a go at each other. They didn't do any harm, but you can see how quickly they were moving by the blur all over this shot as I snapped it. The snow leopard on the right has its tail up and waving furiously and the cat on the left seems to be the aggressor. I didn't have my continuous mode on, and so by the time I snapped this they were gone.

We don't see a whole lot of Dirt during the winter - mainly because we don't go outside very often - but once spring comes around there's a much greater chance of an encounter. Jimmy and Mack prepare for these possible encounters by choreographing a fierce battle to show how big and brave they are. Because we didn't actually see him, we assume Dirt was cowering behind some bush trembling like a scared little baby.

For the grand BFF finale, Maxine is posing with each eliminated BFF. Here she is with Cookie. Despite their catfight at the end of episode 3, Maxine and Cookie pose together for this picture. Maxine is a forgiving girl and not one to hold grudges, apparently Cookie doesn't hold grudges either. Thank goodness!
Just leading into dusk one afternoon we came upon a small group of lions engaged in a playful round of mock fighting. It was entertaining to see them battling very much like my own domestic cats when they're feeling feisty. I love that no matter how large or small, cats still share similar native instincts.
Dazy's tail twitches for a mere moment... Her pupils are wide. Her hind legs spring with a strong intensity. She leaps for Bails' chest and shoulders in an attempt to knock her down to the ground and land on top of her.
Bails lands on her back with an 'OOF', her head smacking into the concrete of the roof, her eyes widen as Dazy lands on top of her. She'd growl and make an attempt to throw the pink cat off her.
Dazy heard the sound of Bails head hitting the concrete building... she licks her lips again. Her hands continue to hold Bails shoulders to the concrete until her sister either gives up fighting, or successfully throws her off. She growls instructions "Be yourself... feel it on the inside... prowl, stalk and attack... it's inside of you."
Bails growls at the pink cat, she'd attempt to bring her hands up to push the cat off of her. Her ears flattened to the side of her head as she struggles to push the cat back onto her butt.
Dazy keeps her claws in as her hands get shoved back. She gets pushed backwards, but lands on her feet none-the-less. She continues her instructions, still crouched down, giving Bails time to get up. She quickly puts what looks like a small sticker or barcode on the bottom of Bails shoe "Go run and don't stop until you understand... understand what it means to be a feline."
Bails jumps up into a crouch as Dazy lands on her feet. She'd shake her head and let out a low growl backing up slightly from the other cat. She'd note you touching her shoe but wouldn't think anything of it, all she wanted to do was run and jump. With a loud mrowll she'd jump off to the next roof, her tail lashing out behind her.
Dazy licks her lips again, watching her sister leap away. She smiles, and makes a decision not to warn anyone within the Pride. This could make for an interesting next couple days.
