A pair of loved-up cats who appear to have a perfect relationship are making people across the internet question why they can't find the same thing.
Feline duo Marmite and Toast have been making a name for themselves on TikTok with some 186,000 followers tuning in to watch a series of increasingly adorable videos featuring the super-sweet twosome.
However, no one was quite prepared for just how cute one of their most recent clips was going to be. In fact, it proved so powerful that some have been left questioning everything they thought they knew about life, love and the human condition.
Or something like that anyway. The video can be watched here .
Captioned: "When your cats have the best relationship you've ever seen" the video is a journey through the day-to-day lives of Marmite and Toast, who appear so intertwined, they may as well collectively change their name to "Moast."
The footage begins with Toast draped all over Marmite, like an overly protective high school boyfriend, giving his ears a good clean before cutting to the happy pair enjoying a snuggle, stretched out alongside each other near a sofa.
It then switches to a cardboard box, with their owner lifting the lid to reveal a blissful Marmite and Toast cosied up together inside. Next we see the loved-up duo lying out on a rug with Toast once again licking away at Marmite's face, evidently only too happy to be doted on in this way.
Viewers are then shown Marmite close up returning the favor with a few vigorous licks to Toast's head. From there the video then cuts to the pair of them wedged in the tiny space behind their owner's bed, happy in each other's company.
Finally, the two cats are seen cuddled up on the floor and then relaxing on top of each other on a cat tree inside their home. Set to the soundtrack of a remixed version of Minneapolis jazz funk outfit Mint Condition's 1991 hit "Breakin' My Heart," the video has proven heartwarming and heartbreaking in almost equal measure for pet lovers .
Thatcatbobbie came up with the pun-tastic comment: "A purrfect love," while chelstharunna claimed the cats were "lovers in a past life."
"Soooo cuteeee," miajay888 wrote with the.tea.box adding: "they're so in love" and wahida.cx branding it "relationship goals."
Unfortunately, for others, bearing witness to these levels of affection hit a little too close to home. "Why are two cats in a happy relationship and not me?" Thania Aktar asked. "I want what they have," a forlorn slucwuo chimed in with.
Brutalight, meanwhile, lamented aloud: "Bro a cat is getting more action than me" while Trisha Miyamizu rather alarmingly claimed the video left them "screaming, crying, throwing up." Another user, writing as kennys cat, meanwhile asked out of confused desperation: "Can we be cats?"
Though the clip was clearly a sore point for some, it did prove useful to a select few in need of advice on how best to integrate two different cats. Responding to a fellow cat owner, Marmite and Toast's owner Wiktoria said: "I'd recommend feeding them together, letting them play together, this really helped build a strong relationship between ours."
"They are also boys," she added. "So that could play a factor I'm sure."
Newsweek has contacted the cats' owner for comment.
According to International Pet Care the process of integrating two cats with one another begins with "scent" swapping.
"Begin scent swapping by taking one piece of each cat's bedding (eg, a single blanket) and placing it in one of the other cat's beds," it said. "There should be ample bedding for both cats so that this change in bedding does not leave either cat with limited sleeping/resting sites."
"It is hoped that each cat will rest upon the bedding of the other cat, thereby mixing their two scents to create a communal scent," it explained.
It's important to observe both cats' reactions to the switch. Any negative behavior, like avoiding the scented item or hissing at it, could indicate that the feline involved is "less likely to accept a new cat into its home" and the process could take longer.
Once they show relaxed behavior, however, the bedding can be swapped back to "allow further mingling of the scent."

"When your cats have the best relationship you’ve ever seen," their owner captioned one video.
If love stories never go out of fashion and cat videos are the cornerstone of all viral online content, what would happen if you put them together? The result is here, and it’s every bit as fantastic as you could imagine.
A pair of cuddly cats who share a truly special bond have been blowing up on social media because of an adorable compilation of clips put together by their loving human mama.
TikToker Wiktoria has amassed about 200,000 followers on the strength of these friendly felines, who seem to buck every stereotype of cats being the aloof loners of the pet world. Her cats, Marmite and Toast, go together like, well, the food items they were named for!
The clip that really revealed their tight bond was dropped on Jan. 7 and has already been watched more than 1 million times. It shows Marmite (a black cat) and Toast (a gray-and-white tabby) in a series of heart-melting moments that Wiktoria has caught on camera that was accompanied by the hashtag, #relationshipgoals.
“When your cats have the best relationship you’ve ever seen,” the TikToker wrote in a text overlay at the start of the video.
The 21-second clip shows the pair licking each other and cuddling comfortably in spots all over their house, including behind a couch and inside an Amazon box.
The comments, as usual on viral TikToks, are as good as the video itself. Some are accusing the human of being a third wheel and one popular comment stated that it feels like viewers are “intruding on intimate moments.”
Another commenter, Domi, contrasted the pair with her own kitties. “Meanwhile my cats,” she wrote alongside emoji of a scowling face, a knife and a fencer. Some 22,000 people have liked that comment so far.
But it’s not all easygoing vibes at Wiktoria’s place. In another TikTok that’s also been viewed more than 1 million times, she edited together clips of Marmite being a little more rambunctious as a kitten.
She caught him standing on top of the TV, climbing up the cabinets and chewing on pretty much anything that gets in his face.
That’s more like the type of viral cat content we’re used to!

It all started when Gianna Llewellyn and her boyfriend Rob moved in to their New York apartment last summer.
Neither of them expected that the first neighbours they would see weren’t actually human!
While the two of them were working out how they would decorate their new living room, they noticed that they were being watched by two pairs of eyes through the window.
It was in fact two cats, a black one and orange one. They thought that they must be strays as both of them looked very hungry.
So Rob put out some leftovers for them, a nice piece of salmon that had been sitting in the fridge.
“They started to come back every single night after that,” said Gianna. “Meowing, waiting at the door and sleeping on the windowsill.”
It didn’t take long for this couple to feel comfortable with the two cats so gradually they began to let them inside their house. They named the ginger cat Miso and the black cat Suki.
When the season changed and the weather got colder, Gianna noticed something different about the black cat.
“They were both pretty small when we first met them,” she said. “Suki was very skinny but for some reason, her belly seemed a little big for her. So we were like, She’s either pregnant or something worse.”
So Gianna managed to get the cat couple into some newly bought cardboard cat carrying cases to confirm her suspicions and have them checked out at the vet.
It turned out that Suki was indeed very pregnant but she was also healthy.
One night, Rob and Gianna returned home and found Miso standing over Suki who was meowing her heart out.
Next to her were four amazing newborn kittens.
The couple thought that they had missed out on this very special moment, but then she gave birth to three more kittens!
Every time that Suki meowed in pain her attentive Miso would run over to let her know that he was there for her.
And over the next few days, Miso took the role of being father very seriously. He cleaned then, played with them and let them climb all over him.
Now this delightful kitty couple will have no worries about being strays again as they have become a permanent part of Gianna’s and Rob’s family.
And if you are wondering, they have managed to find homes with their friends for all seven of the kittens.

When Gianna Llewellyn and her boyfriend Rob moved into a first-floor apartment last summer, they were surprised when their new neighbors dropped by to say "Hi."
While they were arranging furniture, a small orange tabby and a black cat came right up to the window. The cats looked hungry, so Rob set out some leftover salmon, and the grateful strays immediately ate it up.
“They started to come back every single night after that,” Llewellyn told The Dodo. “Meowing, waiting at the door and sleeping on the windowsill.”
For the first few days, the cats, whom they named Miso and Suki, only visited the window when they were looking for food, but gradually, Llewellyn and Rob gained their trust. Soon, the cat couple was spending all their time at the apartment — lounging in the garden during the day and snuggling together on the windowsill at night.
As the weather got colder, Llewellyn noticed something odd about the black cat. “They were both pretty small when we first met them,” Llewellyn said. “Suki was very skinny but for some reason, her belly seemed a little big for her. So we were like, ‘She’s either pregnant or something worse.’”
Llewellyn bought two cardboard carrying cases at the pet store and wrangled the cats inside so she could bring them to the vet. The cat couple hated being separated, and Miso punched a hole through his box to see Suki again.
“They kept mewing to each other from the cardboard boxes making sure the other was OK,” Llewellyn said.
The vet confirmed that Suki was pregnant but otherwise healthy, so Llewellyn called the local rescue Little Wanderers NYC for support. Llewellyn and Rob became the cats’ official foster parents and moved them inside.
One night, the couple came home and spotted Suki on a towel with four newborn kittens by her side.
They thought they had missed the big event when she started giving birth again, bringing the total number of babies to seven. Through it all, Miso was there to comfort his girlfriend.
“She still has contraction pains and every time she yelped from a contraction Miso would run over to be next to her,” Ll
