Category III The Hong Kong motion picture rating system introduced in 1988 is defined as "No persons younger than 18 years of age are permitted to rent, purchase, or watch this film in the cinema." I've tried to keep this list to just Category III films produced in Hong Kong, although the rating is applicable to films produced anywhere.

Category III is sort of like the Hong Kong equivalent to the US's NC-17 except for the fact that there was a good stretch where Cat IIIs were consistently made and commercially viable in HK. Cat IIIs will feature graphic violence or sex most typically.
