Former supermodel Carol Alt flaunted her incredible physique at 59 years old in a nearly nude photo she shared on Instagram Wednesday as part of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s #SwimsuitIconChallenge .
Last week, the magazine blasted out the dare to their followers on Instagram, asking them to recreate their favorite swimsuit cover photos to submit for the challenge.
Alt, a 1982 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl herself, recreated Marisa Miller’s 2008 cover photo that shows her topless, with nothing but an assortment of necklaces covering up her nipples and a barely-there bikini bottom.
Her lean frame is superimposed in front of a pink and purple sunset.
“Here it is!! My Sports Illustrated submission!!! Shot on the iPhone 11,” Alt captioned her picture.
“I loved the Marisa Miller cover. So this is my copy of her cover!! Some things just cannot be put into words.”
She then proceeds to thank the magazine and New York City photographer Ezequiel de la Rosa as well as her followers.
The sexy snap clearly made an impression on “Real Housewife of New York City” Ramona Singer, who commented “Wow” with three dancing lady emojis.
“Still as gorgeous today,” another fan chimed in.
Hundreds of Sports Illustrated fans joined in on the fun, with some meticulously recreating the past covers while others saw it as a chance to get silly.
Alt — who took the more serious route — is just the latest example of women over 50 seemingly drinking from some sacred fountain of youth.
Earlier this month, Vera Wang posted a series of jaw-dropping photos showing off her abs at 70, while Dame Vivienne Westwood also shared a buzz-worthy pic and video at 79.

No Carol, the trick is to pose nude when you’re young and have a supermodel’s body, not when you’re 50 and “look great for your age” which, of course, means “you still kinda look like you used to but damn I wish you got naked back then.” So nice try, but way too late.

Now that Playboy is no longer showing nude photos, Carol Alt is glad she posed for the magazine while she had the chance .
“I never thought I would do Playboy, but when it came to promoting raw food … and showing what raw food can do for you [with me being 50], I did Playboy,” Alt, who appeared in the December 2008 issue, told The Post at the Nicole Miller fashion show.
“My issue was a few years back, but I am glad that I have my pictures to look at for when I am older. But it truly is an end of an era for Playboy. Playboy pushed the envelope and they really fought the fight that opened the doors for everybody else. Whether that is good or bad depends on your own personal moral and religious views.”
She also hasn’t ruled out the possibility of flaunting her assets in other mediums.
“I would never say never to acting out a nude scene in a movie,” Alt adds.
As for NYFW, the legendary supermodel has to fight the urge to teach the models a thing or two while she’s sitting front row at the shows.
“When I watch fashion shows, what bothers me is not the models’ walks but their faces. They just come down with no personality. But it is hard to say, because it is what the models are instructed to do.”
