Carla Abellana also lost money in the same scam her ex Tom Rodriguez fell victim to.
Carla Abellana lost money because of the same person who scammed her ex-husband Tom Rodriguez, Ogie Diaz claimed.
In a vlog released on his YouTube channel called Showbiz Update, Ogie Diaz talked about one of the problems the ex-couple faced together.
Apparently, Carla also had some money in the 24 million pesos total that Tom lost after falling victim to a scammer.
“Ang sabi, parang nawalan na ng pera si Tom kasi nga dun sa perang na naipatalo o naging biktima ng scam si Tom or nailagay sa negosyo na di kumita at na-zero pa na mahigit 24M ang sabi ha. Jusko. Andun din pala ang pera ni Carla, may pera rin daw dun si Carla,” Ogie said.
Ogie, based on a text message his source sent him, also revealed that the incident led to Tom and Carla ending their marriage and parting ways.
“May pera din si Carla dun sa na-scam kay Tom. Kaya nga alam din ni Carla yung pera na yun kasi pareho nilang perang mag-asawa yun na-scam kay Tom,” the source said.
It added: “In other words, hiniwalayan ni Carla si Tom kasi naubos ang pera ni Tom, damay pa yung pera ni Carla Abellana.”
Tom and Carla ended their marriage eight months after they tied the knot. Tom confirmed their separation last month.

The Kapuso couple, who has been in a relationship for over seven years, tied the knot at San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Church , a Spanish-colonial era church nestled in San Juan, Batangas.
Having played husband and wife on television several times, Carla and Tom opted for a classic-style wedding in real life. Here are some memorable highlights from the wedding:

On an Instagram post last October 24, the dapper groom thanked his "Avengers Team" for making him "look and feel every bit as worthy for my beautiful bride/wife."
Tom quipped, “Pero syempre papatalo ba ako sa ganda ni misis? Eh di resbakan natin!”
The "Avengers Team" was composed of Francis for his suit, Lala Flores for his make-up, and Erlie Bantayao for his hair.

MANILA — Actress Carla Abellana has finally broken her silence on her separation from her husband and former co-star Tom Rodriguez, saying she was “betrayed” and was “made to look stupid.”
Abellana made the statement in response to a viewer of her YouTube vlog who criticized her for “liking” an Instagram post pertaining to cheating.
“Don’t cheat. If you’re unhappy, just leave,” was the quote re-posted on Instagram by comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas on June 15, as she lamented the successive news of celebrity couples breaking up. Abellana was among those who liked the post.
A follower of her vlog brought up Abellana liking the post, and proceeded to castigate her for supposedly cutting any communication line with Rodriguez amid rumors that she is in the process of filing an annulment.
The fan gave Abellana unsolicited advice, urging the actress to speak with Rodriguez: “Kung gusto mong maging masaya ka, mag-usap kayong mag-asawa, sabihin mo sa kanya lahat ng hinanakit mo. Hindi 'yung dine-deadma mo siya.”
The comment prompted a lengthy response from Abellana who, for the first time, detailed the reasons behind her separation from Rodriguez.
The former couple, who got married in October 2021 after seven years of being together, first stirred rumors of a falling out in January, when they appeared to unfollow each other Instagram.
Abellana’s father, screen veteran PJ Abellana, claimed in March that a “one-night stand” was involved in the marital woes of his daughter and Rodriguez. The older Abellana, however, later on retracted his statement.
The actress did not specifically pertain to infidelity in her statement, but referred to Rodriguez’s actions as “betrayal.” She also alluded to a supposed condition of Rodriguez, mentioning that she repeatedly urged him to seek professional help.
Abellana has since disabled the comments section of her latest vlog, where she posted the statement. Below is her statement, in full:

I was disrespected. I was betrayed. I was lied to. I was used. I was shamed. I was made to look so stupid. Kung sana hanggang dun lang po, makakabangon din po ako balang araw.
Pero para gawan pa po ako at ang pamilya ko ng mas marami pang kasamaan at kataksilan sa mga sumunod na araw, linggo, at buwan, sobra sa sobra na po ang sakit at pagdurog ng puso at pagkatao ko.
Wala po akong ibinigay kay Tom kundi tunay na pagmamahal, respeto, pag-aalaga, pag-aaruga, pag-unawa, pagtitiis, sangkatutak na pagpapatawad, milya-milyang pasensya, paniniwala, pagtiwala, pag-aasikaso, pagprotekta, lahat-lahat na.
Binigay ko po buong buhay ko sa kanya. 7 na taon po akong bawal magalit, magtampo, masaktan, mabigo, malungkot, madismaya dahil hindi po pwede. Makakatikim po ako kahit subukan ko pong ipaliwanag sa kanya na nasasaktan niya ako at hindi po tama ang mga ginagawa niya.
Paulit-ulit ko pong pinapaalala sa kanya na hindi po ako kalaban at mabuti po ang kalooban at intensyon ko. 7 na taon pong naipon sa loob ko lahat 'yun.
