The reality star won Love Island back in 2016 where she was partnered with Nathan Massey – who she has since married and shares two children with
Love Island series two winner Cara De La Hoyde has confirmed that she no longer speaks to any of her fellow Islanders – and has explained exactly why.
The 31-year-old reality star featured on the show back in 2016 where she won with 29-year-old Nathan Massey to whom she married in 2019 and together they have a son named Freddie, four, and a daughter named a daughter named Delilah, two.
And while the second season of the hit ITV2 reality romance show produced many iconic TV stars including Alex and Olivia Buckland, Made in Chelsea star Zara Holland, and hunky model Scott Thomas, Cara says she no longer speaks to any of them.
She made the confession during a Q&A session with fans on Instagram Stories on Sunday, where she proposed: “Let’s catch up” along with a heart emoji.
One fans jumped at the chance to quiz her about her relationship with fellow ITV2 stars, writing: “New to your page, how come [you] don’t speak to ex Islanders?”
Cara explained that she simply drifted away from her co-stars.
She wrote in response: “It’s not that I don’t speak to them or go out of my way not to.
“But as I’m sure many parents can understand, people’s lives and interest change.
“I’m sure none of my fellow Islanders would be that bothered about me telling them about what nappies I’m using for Delilah or how Mr Tumble has a new spotty bag,” – adding a rolling-on-the-floor crying-with-laughter emoji.
She added: “People’s lives and circles change, that’s all.”
It appears that it is not uncommon for Love Island stars to drift away from their fellow Islanders once their season wraps up.
Anton Danyluk – who starred in the 2019 series alongside Tommy Fury, Molly-Mae Hague, Curtis Pritchard and Amber Gilll – says he no longer speaks to any of his co-stars either.

The 25-year-old confessed last month: “People come off the show, get their blue tick, get their million followers and go so far up their a**es it's unbelievable.
“It's quite sad but at the same time I always appreciate the journey I had with the people in there. It don't matter what [happened] because it was unbelievable.”
He did say that the only person he speaks to from his series is Anna Vakili, 31, after growing close to her since leaving the show.
He confirmed on the CASA Spin podcast: “I only speak to Anna, that's it. Me and Anna are very close.”
Reflecting on the friendships he made and then lost after starring on the show: “The friendships are massive, they're really, really big in there. You think they're gonna last forever and they feel like (brothers) and sisters but obviously sometimes it just doesn't end up that way,
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub – episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
