"The Sheik's Captured Princess" is the story of Ciala and Jurar.
Our h is the Princess of Samara and H the Sheikh of Drakar. She is doing a secret research project and disguises herself as a man, travelling to Drakar and interviewing people. However, she gets mistaken as a rebel and caught by the H and his men. She escapes, only for him to recognize her during a royal dinner. He soon pursues and seduces her, later conspiring with her brothers to coerce her into marriage. The h is kickass, strong and protests strongly.. but the H is able to seduce her into agreement every single time. They have super hot sex and are on each other like animals in heat. Post marriage, there is some drama and trust issues, but all resolve in a HEA.

I laughed while thinking about making this review because it was all so silly. When I started the book, the first thought that went through my mind was that this read like teen fiction. It was simplistic and the premise a little immature. Even the prose was really simplistic... I don't know if I have ever read anything with more exclamation points. Every emotional thought needed to end in an exclamation point.
Now, about the characters. The heroine is some princess that knows martial arts lol. The descriptions of her fighting prowess was what had me thinking of teen fiction. She's supposed to be very intelligent but if she really were, she wouldn't have gotten into the conflicts that she did. She was dithering about confessing things to her family one moment and then the next moment letting the hero do as he pleased with her if he would just not tell her family. Then there were writing inconsistencies. She said her camera and memory cards contained ALL her work, but in an earlier part she said it only had work from last week. She'd been conducting her research for a year... 1 week out of 55 weeks hardly seems that important for everything that happened in the book. Besides, when she was initially escaping from the hero who thought she was a rebel, she already resolved that her life was more important than what was in the cards. Tsk. And then her reasoning for some of her actions... so childish. The hero dared her, so there was no way she could refuse right? Well, when I read the hero's words, I didn't even think it was a dare. Dang it was stupid... they were supposed to be royalty, they should know diplomacy.
The hero seemed even less intelligent. She was fighting with some rebels in the first scene. I don't know how he knew about it but he did. But then he somehow thought she was working with them lol. And the tech guys working with him didn't even check the interview footage? They'd have known she was telling the truth about her work if they saw the interviews caught on her camera. Plus he believes all women are deceitful creatures that cannot be trusted, this bad stereotyper. I wouldn't want to be a citizen of a nation led by a man prone to indulging his biases like this.
If only the characters in this book were responsible and not caricatures of people. This would have been a more attractive love story.
3.5 rate from me. Ciala was doing her research in historical places. Jurar thought she was in the group rebels. He captured her disguising as a man and kept her cameras. She managed to sneaked out and return to her palace. The next day, Jurar met with Ramzi. He didnt recognized her at first but when he did, he questioned her at the conference room while coping a feel too. He asked Ramzi to lend his sister to his country. At night, she tried to get her bags at his room not knowing it was a trap he set. So she fall to bed and gave her virginity to him. He demanded they get married and her brothers agreed. Two weeks after their honeymoon, she started her research back. Her interpreter sold her name as the group rebel’s lover. Jurar was confused and questioning her identity. She was ambushed by three of the rebels. Luckily she was equipped with self-defence and he managed to catch them and brought them to the city. Jurar was so impressed by his wife and they both admitted their love to each other.
The heroine knew martial arts. That was the highlight for me. Everytime she got into a dangerous situation, she managed to extricate herself effortlessly. There were many inconsistencies as far as the data she had collected goes, the author did repetitively mentioned it was lot of hardwork, but overall the book was good. Towards the end, I was really proud of Ciala. The Sheikh was very stubborn but he as not too bad. The end did not actually show or imply that Ciala got her data back. There were also no witty remarks or sarcasm present in the book. No much back and forth arguements between Ciala and the Sheikh.
Good read
Cut back on all the descriptions about every little thing in the room and all the fashion of clothes. Just get on with the plot. Also read read for corrections, like where he says something and the the female name is put in his spot, also where he is looking at her but him is put instead. Also keep track of these kids they all have where the oldest brother already has a daughter an then it turns around as they have two boys first then a girl.

Okay it is 2021 and I can say have read this book many times over the years. Smart heroin strong hero Alpha clash in a mistaken identity drama then love happens.
Spies, adventure and love. Unwilling princess and demanding sheik .
On my list to pull out when a goid romance is needed.

Glad to see a capable female in the Sheiks Captured Princess. While this book had several inconsistencies it was still a great read and probably my favorite in the series.

Loved this story
I loved reading Ciara and Jurar's story. How she was so determined not to fall for him and he not realizing he was falling for her. A fun read.
