There is nothing like a good one-two prayer from The Book of Threats. With a lull in the war, Colonel Potter calls in favors to insure Lt. Father Mulcahy's promotion. But somebody lost the good Father's Efficiency Report and his entire file. Chuckles is an inept mediator between Greeks and Turks at Rosie's Bar. Rosie ends up with broken ribs and will be laid up for a week. Margaret suggests the officers keep Rosie's running. Her rules are simple: water down the liquor, collect 30% of the waitresses' tips and be good to Muldoon. When Col. Potter finds out about the lost file, he and Klinger rattle cages from I Corp to The Pentagon. Rosie is neither grateful as a patient nor as a business owner. Chuckles is as bad with Muldoon as with the Greeks and Turks. Will Rosie's ever be open again? How many Generals does it take to get a promotion for an "outstanding" Padre? — LA-Lawyer
John Orchard , who had been a recurring cast guest in 1972-73 as "Ugly John," appears as an MP in this episode.
The white straps Muldoon is wearing are 19th Century cartridge box slings and would not be found on a Korean War uniform.

When a group of Greek soldiers start fighting a Turkish soldier at Rosie's Bar, she gets hurt. Even though they weren't complicit, the officers agree to run her bar (with Charles casting a dissenting vote). Two of the combatants go after each other in the hospital. The other plot has to do with Mulcahy getting passed over again for his Captain's bars. His file gets lost and Potter must tell him the news (although a great effort commences). There are scenes at the bar where the guys aren't all that competent. Charles causes several problems with his pomposity and condescending attitude, including his snubbing an MP who looks out for the bar.

Captain O'Michaels is an impatient patient at Harborside General Hospital. Describing himself as "S.O.B." (that's Sixty Or Better), he decides that after so many years of doing what others wanted him to do, he's going to start doing what he wants to do. That happens to include floating toy boats in a bedpan, playing his trumpet, and kidnapping an obnoxious bread manufacturer. All of this is to get attention from his lawyer son, but it incurs the young man's wrath and confirms his view that the old man is crazy. In the final confrontation between alienated father and son, young Sean learns a secret that changes his entire life.

Customer Reviews

"Outrageously funny both in dialogue and physical actions. We laughed quite a bit during rehearsals."
