CapsGame Times #6 - July 2026

CapsGame

Why the hell did we release so much stuff in July? Now we have to pick the best bits and somehow not to fatten up the newspaper with them. All because we care about not losing our minds from all this writing your precious time

And there are more and more pictures, too. At this rate, the newspaper is going to turn into a comic book. Maybe that’s not a bad thing, actually… Alright, enough stalling — we all know why you’re here. Take CAPS-TIMES-FOREVER, and let’s go!

Is This for Me?!

How often have you wanted to send a gift to a friend in CapsGame, but couldn’t? Huh? Never? Well, fine then…

Anyway, now you can! A new icon has appeared next to the purchase button — “Gift to a Friend”. It’s the same purchase as usual, but instead you get a promo code that you can send to a friend, give away in a contest, or activate yourself if you suddenly change your mind about being a generous patron

For now, though, not every purchase has this option. Only selected offers on the main screen. We’ll see how much demand there is for it

You can also use it to transfer resources to your own multi-account — just make sure to contact support first and provide both the source account and the destination account, so we can guarantee that the well-earned reward reaches the right place!

Mass Madness

“Did I ever tell you what the definition of in…” okay, wait, that was in the very first newspaper issue. Vaas, get out of here!

We keep growing, adding new features, and improving the old ones. So we looked at Madness and thought: what could be even madder? Turning it into a Squad format, of course! Every player fights for the honor of their Squad, adding Mad Points into the shared pot, and then everyone gets banned their well-earned rewards together

Although, let’s be honest, it does sound truly interesting MAD that the outsiders get banned. Hunger Games on minimum settings. This is all a joke, of course. But the “battle royale” format does sound pretty interesting…
We liked this image so much it’s now showing up for the second newspaper issue in a row. A masterpiece of (de)generative creativity

At the same time, nobody is taking away your chance to fight for solo rewards even within Squad Madness. Especially since in the next launch we’ll buff the rewards (and raise the bar for getting them, obviously). But without a Squad, you can’t really aim for the juiciest prizes. Such is the path of collectivization!

The Mad Caps collection has served us faithfully for a whole… one second… where was that written… ah, here it is. A whole 10 — wow — months! But its time has come to an end. In the next solo or Squad-format launches of the Madness Event, there should already be a new one. Which one? We won’t tell. But it’s definitely going to be mind-blowing!

I am the End

“So, after the fight — to the bar, as usual?”

Every day, we beat up poor Shredder. Or maybe he beat up poor us. And all of us, at the same time, got beaten up by the boredom of fighting the same battle over and over again. So we thought — hey, we’ve got some great bosses from different events that could be moved into the game on a permanent basis. Said and done: the Lich from Adventure Time and Shao Kahn from the MK universe are breaking into the game

To be fair, Capston and Shredder had already gotten so used to each other, and now these serious guys show up out of nowhere… The next boss definitely needs to be more fun!
You see them too, buddy?”

The Lich received “Vampirism,” which fits him perfectly both visually and narratively. What else is he supposed to do, if not feed on someone else’s life? Shao Kahn, meanwhile, got the Tyrant ability from the Ashes of Glory event. Remember that one?

And now boss fights already feel way more varied. Each boss has their own theme and atmosphere, and the battles change from day to day. For now, yeah, only within a 3-day cycle. But this is just the beginning!

But we wanted to make battles feel even deeper and more complete, so we ordered music and sound effects! Yep-yep, from real professionals. Well… at least that’s what they told us…

And seriously, what kind of epic battle is it without the iconic “ouch,” “bam,” and “boom,” plus some dynamic music in the background?

Now every boss has their own unique music theme. Rhythmic and arcade-like, with a touch of 8-bit games, for Shredder. Mysterious, but still not too scary, for the Lich. And brutal drum-heavy ethnic vibes for Shao Kahn

Going forward, we want to push the immersion even further through sounds and music. But even now, we are maximally happy with our own work boss fights have become way more fun. Right? Yeah…?

You and I — we’re on different levels

The upper class has dominated for too long! TOP players kept taking the highest spots in the rankings, leaving everyone else without even a single chance to win. It’s time to put an end to this!

From now on and until we change our minds forever and ever, in regular solo events like Pimp My Cap and Madness Event, all players will only fight within their own League. Meaning, if a player is in Silver League at the start, then all their Ranking opponents will also only be from Silver League

And since, by this point, only the true literary aesthetes are still here, then here you go, as they say: GRACIAS

Now every player — yes, literally every player — will be able to fight for rewards. Of course, the rewards in the starting Leagues are weaker, but getting some extra packs, GUM, and maybe even a Hammer for the Piggy Bank in your first days — isn’t that a pretty nice boost for beginners?

And on top of that, we’ve increased the number of rewards several times over! Even regardless of Leagues, the rewards for TOP positions have become much juicier. So much juicier, in fact, that we had to calm down an admin whose nickname starts with “H” and ends with “T”. But yeah, no way to guess who we’re talking about

Same time, same place

And someone really wasn’t too lazy to drag thrones all the way into the courtyard… show-offs!
Last on the topic list, but definitely not least! The Squad Clash has wrapped up, so congratulations to the TOP-3 of the “Center”: Табор, Обо всём, and HotChilliCaps, as well as the TOP-1 of the “Backstreets” — KittyShark Jr.

This time, as we promised in one of the previous issues of CapsGame Times, we added a split into two groups — the Central and the Backstreets. The first group included the TOP-30 Squads from the previous tournament, while the second group got everyone else

This made the distribution fairer and gave all Squads a chance to fight for prize spots. And next time, the TOP-15 from the Backstreets will move up to the Center, while places 16–30 from the Center will drop down into the Backstreets. Such is the merciless admin law of the streets!

Fighting for respect is nice, but getting something truly fundamental is even better. Literally! That’s why, in the fourth Battle of Squads, the district and its key buildings got redistributed. So we basically legalized a hostile takeover…

Each day, one point was captured: the Gastronom, the Dairy Plant, the School, and so on. The winner received full control over the building and all of its GUM and CG bonuses, which apply to every member of the Squad

Just a reminder: upgrading “Influence” and all related bonuses only lasts until the next Squad Clask. After that, the spots will be redistributed again through fierce street-level showdowns. We plan to run this event roughly once every 3 months

Next time, we’ll definitely come up with something else too! We’ve got plenty of ideas — now we just need enough time to actually make them all. Stay tuned. Love you, appreciate you — the CapsGame team!
