CapsGame Times - February 2026
GapsGame
In the Beginning Was the Word…

A spontaneous impulse. A call of the soul
That’s probably the best way to describe how this text came to life. And, well… let’s not hide it — a certain member of the Procyonidae family also played a role in pushing us toward this decision
The main goal is simple: to give you — the players — a more meaningful inside look at what’s happening. To share our reasons, motivations, and ambitions as developers. And to do it in a format that’s convenient and engaging for most of you. Along the way, we’ll also sum up what happened over the past month. Sometimes with humor, sometimes dead serious — but always interesting and insightful
This is our first issue — a pilot format. Most likely (and even more than likely), it will evolve and improve over time, growing into new sections, discussions, and maybe even contests whose results will be published in the newspaper.
But the most important thing is to hear from you — whether you like this format. After all, we’re doing this for you.
Enough with the long intro — let’s move on to the biggest news of February 2026 in CapsGame
The Updated Battle System

In February, something we’d been working on for half a year finally went live (while still delivering other updates, of course) — the revamped battle system, or as we call it internally: Combat 2.0
The beta version was initially available to a limited number of players, whose feedback helped us fix many bugs and refine the mechanics. For that — a sincere thank you!
The goal was to transform battles from a simple “3 caps punching 3 other caps in the face” format into something more engaging and strategic. Our main inspiration? Hearthstone — clearly in the lead — with other CCGs right behind it (did anyone really doubt our favorite?)
Still, you can’t just take (Boromir.jpg) and copy-paste CCG rules into our game. Adaptation is key — and so is avoiding unnecessary complexity. We want to balance depth and variety with accessibility for players who simply want to grab their strongest caps and smash the opponent
It’s important to note: the current state of the system is an early release. We didn’t want to keep it in development forever — we wanted players to get their hands on it sooner. The current number of abilities is limited, but these are only the very first ones from a much larger list. More is coming
For now, Combat 2.0 is available only through Tower 2.0, which was intentionally designed as a simple and understandable mode to properly test the mechanics. But what’s next? Let’s lift the curtain just a little
Attentive players who follow news, chats, and AMA sessions already know quite a bit
We definitely plan to introduce PvP based on this system. What will it look like? Too early to say. Maybe you’ll place caps, your opponent will place caps, then we roll a dice — whoever rolls higher wins. Though… I feel like we’ve seen that somewhere before, haven’t we?
We’ll also expand the pool of abilities — both core ones available to everyone and unique ones that may require collecting something… If we’ve mentioned it somewhere already — then we’ve mentioned it. If not — let it remain a mystery for now 🙂
We have plenty of ideas, but we’d rather not overpromise. What we can promise is this: the mode will keep evolving
St. Valentine Event
Of course, we couldn’t skip Valentine’s Day. We brought back a familiar event format. Just like New Year’s, players could pack their caps into orders — effectively burning them — in exchange for Tickets.
By the way, have you noticed that burned caps increase the burn percentage of their collection? If not, take note — in the new staking season, this will directly affect CG farming. But… you didn’t hear it from us
Back to the event: Tickets granted rewards. In Cupid’s Shop everything was simple — if you have enough, you buy it. But in the Ranking section, prizes had to be earned
And they were worth fighting for! The unique Valentine’s Day 2026 Frame (also known as “Valentine Wreath”) was awarded to everyone who placed in the Top 50
Frames distributed in such events are truly unique rewards. We will never sell them or redistribute them in other events — they are exclusive to Valentine’s Day. So congratulations to those who earned them — only 50 will exist for the entire year

Top 50 players also received 361 packs from the “Ton Is” collection, which is now very close to being sold out (less than 10% remaining). Most likely, it will be fully sold out before next Valentine’s Day
Some creative players who once turned into New Year’s “Gnomes” have now transformed into various versions of “KUPIdons.” If you get it — you get it. If not — join the events! (Actually… everyone should)
There was also another token distribution. This time, 500,000 $CG were distributed among holders of the “Ton Is” collection, depending on collection completion and/or cap rarity. A clear sign that holders of rare collections can expect similar surprises in the future. Which collection will get the next drop?
Spontaneously, we also decided to gift additional Common packs to everyone who earned at least one Ticket (meaning they completed at least one order). Gifts are always nice, right?
Special thanks to our active players who bring life, excitement, and competitive spirit to these events!
Madness!

"Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same f*****g thing over and over again, expecting s**t to change"
The quote fits so perfectly we simply couldn’t ignore it
Another Madness event has passed — and it’s already becoming a tradition. We plan to keep it that way, running it roughly once a month. It brings variety, activity, and extra rewards
This time there was no unique frame, but the next Madness event will have one — a new one. The previous one will remain as a symbol of inhuman perseverance. We still believe that a Top reward should be hard to obtain — just not that hard…
We adjust difficulty based on analytics, not emotions (trust us, sometimes we get unlucky too — to the point where it feels like a bug sneaked into the code… but no). The numbers say it can be eased slightly. So it will be. But Top rewards are still achievable either through luck or boosters. The latter is more reliable
And about luck: nothing is rigged. The logic is solid. There are probabilities. You can get unlucky. You can get unlucky multiple times in a row. It’s frustrating, yeah…
That’s why we introduced the Reroll Booster — to help you take back control from brutal RNG and avoid the feeling of helplessness when another Common cap drops… again
Did Someone Order an Alt Girl?

Or maybe several identical boots? Anyway — not the point
Let’s talk about the new collection format you’ve probably noticed — the purple Special label. And yes, these collections are more valuable than regular Common ones (in every sense). But let’s break it down
A Special collection is essentially still a Common collection — but with a unique acquisition format, making it rarer and therefore more valuable. In this case, it’s a rare drop chance from Common packs
What’s the chance? Fine. Special insider info for the special collection in the special newspaper — 2%
No tweaks. No rigging. Pure randomness. So if you get several in a row — that’s genuine luck
The goal here is simple: add more excitement to opening Common packs. So instead of “Oh, another Beavis…” it becomes “Neon dropped!”
Of course, it doesn’t cancel out “I opened 50 packs — zero Neons, what the ****!” But hey — that’s emotion too. And luck
We’ll continue releasing Special-format collections — both via rare drops and other unique mechanics
As for Neon Dream: anime style? Check. Alt girls? Check. What else do you need? :)
Jokes aside, we aim to keep collections diverse in style and content, and we pay attention to player preferences when we see a trend we can support. A wave of hate, however, is not on the menu
Collection Boom

The number of Common collections significantly increased in February with the addition of Helga’s Secret, The Fifth Cap, and Adventure Caps. There are now 8 possible collections in Common packs
Not for long though — we’re saying goodbye to Cheeton soon, as its supply is nearly exhausted. Will you miss it? Of course you will
We believe having many active and diverse Common collections is the right approach. Players are different. Tastes are different. Hitting every heart with a single arrow is difficult
We want everyone to find “their” collection. And overall, opening packs is simply more fun when it’s not just Pixel Nostalgia dropping
National Cars deserves special mention. You asked for a CG collection? You did. Love old-school cars? Of course you do! Then 9 metallic beauties have arrived in CapsGame just for you — icons of their countries’ automotive industries (according to admins)
Experts are probably already searching for inconsistencies like “those dimensions never existed in that model range” — and they’ll probably find some. We don’t have car gurus on the dev team. But we tried!
National Cars belongs to the Premium category — packs containing it are available only for CG or Stars / TON
Stonks!

Let’s introduce a small but insightful section: “What’s happening on the market?”
The Top TON trading volume in February belonged to Tonsters. Closely behind them (who would’ve guessed?) were Wrestle Mania in second place and Pepe in third
Neon Dream launched only in the second half of the month — and still secured ninth place in trading volume. Well done, alt girls!
The lowest total trading volume for a collection was 11.27 TON. Which one? We won’t say — no need to upset nut lovers
Another spoiler? In the next CG staking season, the collection with the highest trading volume will receive a temporary CG farming bonus
The most expensive chip sold in February: Zifretta (Diamond) #40 and #343. Both sold for 72 TON, tying for first place. In third place — [X] Kaidzen (Epic) #16, sold for 45 TON
Afterword
There were more news, of course — but we focused on the most significant ones. Whether we write more or less next time will depend on how this format is received
One thing is certain: you can expect the second issue of CapsGame Times at the end of next month
Meanwhile, we’ll keep improving the game — and thinking about what to share with you next
Have a great game!
