Looking for some reviews on Cap D’Agde and this mysterious location? Ever been curious about Cap D’Agde?
Stepping off the platform at the Agde train station we had no idea what to expect for the next 6 days in this unique destination.
Cap D’Agde has been shrouded in mystery for many lifestyle and sex positive people and we were about to crack the door wide open. The journey down from Paris was quick and easy, we were eager to experience Cap D’Agde in all it’s glory and were excited to be going with a well established group in the Spicy Match team takeover.
Here’s our quick guide to Cap D’Agde and our 2021 experience!
There are too many places and spaces in Cap to mention in this blog, here are a few of the standout places we would be remiss not to mention.
The famous Cap D’Agde Foam party happens here, the line up for entry can take hours but it’s definitely worth the wait (or skip the line, get VIP and go with a group)
By far my favourite bar, pool and place in Cap D’Agde, this location feels freshly renovated, newer and more luxurious than the other locations we visited. I would definitely recommend heading here during the afternoon, grabbing a poolside chair (minimum spend required) and vibing out to the DJ beats.
A beach side location with chairs for rent. Secure your spot here for an afternoon, grab a bottle of rose and watch the hordes of naked bodies stroll past. The beach front location is perfect for that afternoon dip in the ocean.
Welcome to ‘The Bay Of Pigs’ this is one of the most public places that you can engage in sex on the beach and where the renowned jerk circles take place. You can freely walk along this part of the beach and see couples fucking and 10, 20, 30 guys standing around enjoying the show.
Unlike a permanent lifestyle resort like Desire or Hedonism 2, you are not contained to a single location surrounded by daily entertainment and an hour-by-hour schedule to keep you entertained.
There are 2 major pool parties each week during high season. Wednesday and Friday you’ll find yourself poolside at Le Jardin De Babylone watching naked heaving bodies overflowing, dancing, fucking and exploring the true meaning of hedonism.
If you find yourself going with an established group (like Spicy Match ) you will also get to experience night pool parties with sexy entertainment and a higher concentration of lifestyle friendly folks to mingle and meet (and fuck).
We definitely had quite a few firsts during our stay at Cap D’Agde. We fucked outside in public for the first time, I masturbated on my ground floor patio with onlookers walking past barely noticing the show. We played with a couple after a short conversation / introduction, we spent countless hours being completely nude and walking the streets of this amazing city.
We allowed ourselves to be fully immersed in the hedonist lifestyle and left Cap D’Agde with a sense of renewed sexuality.
I need to get into the Cap D’Agde groove earlier, it always takes a few days to relax about your nude body and be ready to explore your sexuality openly. My one regret is not feeling comfortable sooner, my first few days on site were ‘wasted’ and the end of our holiday came too quickly.
Absolutely, we hope to return in 2022 and will explore a more hedonistic approach to the journey and just let the experiences come to us.
If you aren’t comfortable with nudity or have a very specific and unwavering approach to the lifestyle than Cap D’Agde isn’t the place for you. This location is all about exploring your true hedonistic self, going with the flow & allowing the experience to happen around (and to) you.

In contrast to Jeannette's experience, mine was subjected to complete support from most swingers. I feel she may not have been at the swing resort? I was befriended by several couples, I think it may have given each of those a cachet, having an extra female available (subject to sensible health precautions). I was & so introduced to other people by the various couples who befriended me. I dressed outre' or in the case of Capd'Agde, de rigueur, for its swingers resort. It is expensive for anyone converting £s to euros, that's more to do with Brixit than overcharging by Restaurants & Bars, if you're uptight apropos of your sensuality, then this is not the place for you, if however you have both the libido & self-confidence to engage in the 'SPORT' of recreational-sex, remember it's like all SPORT, competitive. If you seek lots of attention, dress in a way that sends a signal that you wish to play, subject to finding suitable partners. This isn't the place to find your loyal committed life-partner. It is if what you seek is a NIRVANA of orgasms, each to their own. Cap d'Agde's many things, from water theme park to an outrageous sex-resort. I went due to of the latter. Belle de Nuit
I’ve been going since 2010 when I first discovered this place thanks to a friend and in some years I’ve even gone twice. I travel from US and fly into Barcelona and train from there to Agde. It’s like no place else in the world. Once you enter it feels like being among a group of like minded people in a shangrila like atmosphere. You literally do not need to leave the village as all you need is inside. From freshly baked pastries in the morning to great clubs at night. Several supermarkets, laundry services, great beach and shops for all the things you’ll need. Yes prices for entry have crept up over the years but those who complain about nudity and libertine activities don’t get it and need to go elsewhere please. If nudity and libertine / echangiste activity bothers you then realize that you are in the wrong place. No one bothers anyone here. Yes buildings are old because the place was built in the early 70s. You don’t come here for plush accommodations or a family atmosphere, nor a romantic getaway. This is for libertine, echangiste, swinger activity for like minded people who wait all year to enjoy from May to mid September.
As many have been doing over the years, the village had become a 'home from home', somewhere you looked forward to going every year, just as some friends of mine have been doing for 32 years ! I have lived in Agde for almost 20 years, so I don't so much as holiday there as visit regularly during the season, subject to the weather. BUT, the cost of entrance is becoming prohibitive. As I write this, the basic costs are listed below. However, if you are staying for a week or 14 days, it can get complicated so do ask your tour operator or host your are renting from. These prices ARE NOT CONTRACTUAL, they are subject to change at any time by the resort. In a car with 1 to 2 people (in euros) 1 day 18, 3 days 45, 7 days 65, 14 days 80 On foot per person (in euros) 1 day 8/16, 3 days N/A, 7 days 30/60, 14 days 35/70 * These prices are valid from 08:00 to 20:00 only, if you leave to go shower / change outside the village, you will not be allowed back in after 20:00 ! Now, eating / bars etc . . . . . I will applaud the restaurants, there has really been a great strive forward to offer good, quality dining around the resort, if a little expensive. Still my favorite restaurant for quality, quantity and service has to be Mississippi with its great view over the beach and a cool breeze. David is the owner, helpful, polite and always remembers a face. RESERVE for lunch and dinner too. I also like the SunBeach at the far end of the beach, the last restaurant in the resort. Finally, the part I find hardest to write - the resort itself. I remember clearly my first visit, it was in June and entrance was free. After parking and getting ready for the beach, we strolled through Heliopolis past children in swimming pools, families having their lunches, a relaxed, family friendly environment. The beach was full of Dad's and kids kicking balls, sand castles everywhere, just like any other beach on a warm, sunny day. Fast forward to 2017 (have not been yet this year, to cold !) The family resort is almost non-existant, is does remain in the camping and caravan park area which is super clean with spotless bathroom blocks and children's park areas, but the family atmosphere on the beach is not there, parents are far more protective (through no fault of their own) and evenings around the resort I would most certainly describe as 'libertine' . I do not mean to give an impression of a 'grumpy old man' with no latitude of choice, on the contrary, we are all adults and we have freedoms which we have a right to. However, in conclusion, what with the 'wigwam' style umbrella conclaves on the beach where 'adult pleasures' are happy practiced, to the excessive 'libertine' atmosphere in the evenings, I leave it to the reader to make their choice. Disclaimer : I am in no way paid for my reviews neither receive any incentives to provide positive / negative reviews. My reviews are my personnel experience of hotels, resorts, B&B's etc.
I have spent some time at the village like every year. But this year was absolutely awful. Every year the attendance, the environment and the healthy activities are going down. The Cap d'Agde Marina itself and Agde City are improving every year but not the Naturist village, and if something is not done rapidly it will die, and the taxes and revenues from visitors and owners will dry up. The control at the main entrance has been reinforced, but meanwhile they have authorized the building of a huge dry boat storage racking system using a noisy mobile lifting tractor and its pier extension. This has created a huge problem among other things for the traffic in the canal and also because it is used by the non- naturist boat owners to access the naturist village without going through the main entrance. Hundreds of people every day transit in and out the naturist village with no control whatsoever. The new installation of a noisy mechanical workshop, which has also built its own pier and is mooring its boats in the middle of the harbor, hinders the access to some of the Port Ambonne docks. And as a cherry on the cake, tens of noisy and undisciplined sea scooters are also transiting through the Port Ambonne canal entrance. All of this is already destroying the serenity of the cool naturists living in this area. Huge groups of people completely dressed, simply visit from neighbouring beaches and enter the village through the naturist beach just to watch the naked naturists. Very often they sit next to them and harass them.. The beautiful sand beach near the Meridienne Beach club, protected from those people, up to now, was for families only and girls lying down on this beach felt safe, but not anymore. Now as soon as they lie down on a towel, some dressed guys arrive and sit one meter from them and lurk, making them feel uncomfortable to say the least. This is why all the young and beautiful girls have practically disappeared from this place, they are harassed and subject to exhibitionism everywhere. Or if some of them come with their parents they remain dressed among the naturists. Most of the shops in the Naturist Quartier have now been converted into sex shops. Sex shops are everywhere. The Glamour Night Club which used to be at the center of the entertainment for the people who wanted to come dancing, or even swinging in the basement, is becoming a weird place. The Club is practically deserted as everything ridiculously expensive and awful. What is unbelievable is that at the entrance of this club you have many bouncers with bullet proof vests who seem to be screening who is entering the club, but inside the attendance that you can see is far from what it used to be. Roads inside the Naturist village have deteriorated and are scattered by potholes which have not been repaired for years. Roads need to be resurfaced. If you walk in the evening through the village with let's say your wife and your daughter or a girlfriend, you can be sure that some guys will come and harass you aggressively to join you for a "Party together!!". If you do not answer they will follow you everywhere. You feel uncomfortable and unsecured to say the least. I, of course, do not even describe the swinger’s beach called the "Bay des cochons" beach. Nobody is bothered by that. I understand freedom but people sometimes bring their children with them, which far from being recommended. This naturist village used to be an Eden, with its long sandy beaches full of beautiful sea shells along this blue Mediterranean Sea. Everybody was just coming here to be free and relax in whole simplicity. The people who had some bias for any “specific activities” used to stay in their own clubs and during the day you couldn’t see anything which would shock you, should you be prudish. I am not prudish at all and I have seen a lot of things in my life which could have shocked a lot of people, but I think that now the Cap d'Agde Naturist Village needs to be much more controlled to avoid abuses, and that the serenity of the whole place must be restored, or it will simply die. Naturism is not exhibitionism. I will not go back there until I hear that this had been back to what it was. It is easy to do it. I think that the responsible persons in charge of monitoring this resort should be seriously concerned by that, or the town of Cap d’Agde will lose what used to be a beautiful Naturist resort known worldwide. It is a beautiful place. What needs to be done is a full control of the beaches and of the people coming to bother the Naturists. Control the textile people coming just to stare at the Naturists like in a Zoo. Control the access through the beaches and the canal. My opinion as a long-time fan of the place.
I get the nude bit but the hideous sex shops everywhere were so tacky. The apartment buildings atrocious examples of architectural hell and they looked more like jail cells than somewhere to stay. Probably the worse resort I have ever seen
I am a photographer and visited the wonderful coast of Cap d'Agde to take photographs. On the day at the beach to the derrier I visited it was necessary for me to leave by the Village Naturiste. At the exit there was the biggest police exercise and I was stopped and searched. It was very funny?

Cap D’Adge’s naturist beach is a mile long, up to 100 yards wide and kept in very good condition. The beach is an experience of a lifetime because it holds tens of thousands of naked people on a sunny day. Those who want to show off walk up and down along the shoreline or disport themselves on the ‘adult beach’, where there is an intense feeling of being watched as couples eye each other up for later.
In front of Port Nature and Heliopolis there are restaurants, bars and cafes with steps leading down to the beach. On this part of the strand there are enclosures with sunbeds and parasols you can use for a fee. From there, the beach stretches out to the left in front of the campsite. A long man-made dune runs behind the beach, sheltering the campsite from sea breezes and ends at a dune-top cafe/bar, where the natural dunes begin.
The dunes were originally a popular swinging and exhibitionist locale. Then for several years they were fenced off and mounted police patrolled to prevent sexual activity. That era is over and the fence is buried in sand. However the dunes are now usually infested with lone, wandering men who create a creepy atmosphere that generally puts women off. Most of the sexual activity there is probably gay, although swinging party organisers have been known to hold ticketed events in the dunes after dark.
The adult beach has more rude naked people together than anywhere else on Earth.
As you walk down the beach, approximately where the campsite ends there are two bar/restaurants: the Sun Beach on top of the dune and the Paralia Beach Club on the beach below. The Paralia has a large sunbed enclosure with a statue of a mermaid in front of it. This effectively marks the beginning of the adult beach. Here there are no children, people are packed much more closely together and there is a palpable air of expectancy. On the far side of the adult beach is the much smaller ‘gay beach’ before you get to the sign at the municipal boundary with Marseillan Plage which ends the nudist zone.
Couples often meet new friends on the beach and go off together for drinks, something to eat and some fun. This is a lot easier if one of you speak French or German because most of the conversation is in these languages. However, the Dutch and Scandinavians often speak excellent English and the East Europeans usually have some. Even the Germans often have a few words. The French are the most monolingual of the lot but is their country and the language of love can sometimes overcome all barriers.
Not everyone leaves the beach for their action. As the afternoon wears on, clusters of spectators form around couples who are performing or inviting participation. Sex also happens in the water if the sea in warm. Not just couples playing by themselves but exhibitionists surrounded by the same swarm of spectator
