Method 2: Uncheck the Offline Status

  • After that, tap on the control panel from the displayed results. 
  • Click on the “Devices and Printers” option.
  • Next, search for the Canon MG2522 printer in the printed catalog. Right-click on it and choose “see what’s printing.” 
  • Make sure that you have not selected “use printer offline." If you mark, it then unchecks it. 

Method 3: Delete print jobs from the print queue

  • Open the “control panel” from the Windows search.
  • Enter services.msc in the given space.
  • Once you reach the services window, scroll down and select the Print Spooler option. Right-click on Print Spooler and click on “Stop.”
  • When the print spooler service is stopped, open the Run dialog box. 
  • Enter spool in the given space.
  • Open the Printers folder and delete all the files from this folder.
  • After deleting the file, close the spool folder.
  • Go back to service windows. Right-click on the print spooler program and click on Start.
  • Try to print the documents.

Method 4: Update the Printer Driver 

If you are using outdated or corrupted printer drivers, you may face issues in printing the documents. To resolve this issue, try to update the printer driver to the latest available version. 

Method 5: Temporarily disable the firewall

  • Enter “Windows Defender Firewall” in the search bar.
  • Tap on the “Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off” option from the left side of the window.
  • At last, disable the Windows Defender Firewall on both public and private networks. Click on the Ok button to confirm the changes. 

Method 6: Check Print Spooler Status

  • Open the Control Panel from the Run dialog box.
  • Enter “services.msc” in the given space.
  • After that, scroll down to the printer spooler option. Right-click on it and then select the “Properties” section. 
  • Go to the “General” tab under the “Service status.” Tap on the “Stop” button.
  • Next, change the “Startup type” of the print spooler to the “Automatic.”
  • Hit on the Start button and then restart your printer. Thereafter, check the printing status.
