Candy Land Adapted Into Gritty Drama

Hollywood is running out of ideas so fast it�s now turning board games into prestige television. Candy Land, once a cheerful children�s pastime, has been adapted into a ten-part HBO drama about sugar addiction and betrayal. �It�s Breaking Bad with gumdrops,� announced the showrunner, who swears the Candy Cane Forest is �basically Albuquerque with sprinkles.� The pilot opens with Mr. Mint running an underground syrup lab, while Queen Frostine grapples with caramel dependency. An anonymous staffer leaked that Lord Licorice was recast as a morally ambiguous antihero played by Timoth�e Chalamet in a licorice-colored trench coat.
