Candis Cayne, 44, is apparently giving Caitlyn Jenner butterflies in the stomach, according to sources. Candis Cayne is a transgender actress and performance artist, who appeared on numerous television shows including Nip/Tuck, Drop Dead Diva, Necessary Roughness and She’s Living for This.
In 2007, Candis Cayne made history by becoming the first transgender star to play a recurring transgender character in prime time thanks to the role of Carmelita on ABC’s Dirty Sexy Money.
Miss Cayne, who was born Brendan McDaniel and began her transitioning journey in 1996, has also been featured in countless movies such as Groom’s Cake, Crazy Bitches and Making The Boys.
The Hawaiian actress is sometimes very vocal about issues that are important to the LGBT community by calling it “the last great minority.” However, most of the time, Cayne just wants to be a woman, she confessed:
“I’m not trying to be a spokeswoman for the transgender community; I just want to be looked at as a living, breathing, happy human being.”
Cayne’s twin brother, Dylan McDaniel, is very supportive of the star. She revealed:
“He was fine with it. I have been fortunate enough to not lose any family members from my transition.But seriously, it was more comfortable for [him] that I had not changed mentally, just physically.”
According to Star Magazine, the Caitlyn Jenner-Candis Cayne romance started heating up after they attended an event in New York. Jenner’s pal said:
“After her monumental life change, Caitlyn’s ready to open up her heart again and really, how could you ask for a more perfect fit as a romantic partner than Candis?”
A source told the publication that Jenner feels butterflies in her stomach for Cayne. The insider went on to reveal that Caitlyn Jenner and Candis Cayne have a lot in common, and they understand each other.
“She’s basically been through the exact same struggles and confusion, so she’d be the perfect person for Caitlyn to lean on as she continues her journey of transition.”
