Can you have insurance without a license?

"I'm 16 yrs old. i purchased a-car from a friend. but there's no method in hell my parents can get me motor insurance for it. I also have gotten shut with their parents and have used most of my time at buddies home. I was wondering if it'd not be impossible for me to inquire further
