Hello, I just had sex for the first time with my boyfriend and it was unprotected. I just wanted to know that if he didn't ejaculate can I still become pregnant from pre ejaculation? We didn't have sex for very long only a couple minutes because I was scared, I just wanted to know what I should think/know and this point
There is a small risk of pregnancy, but it’s not as high as ejaculation in the vagina. Before ejaculation, all penises can leak fluid called pre-ejaculate. Pre-ejaculate does not contain sperm but it may pick up sperm from a previous ejaculation as it passes through the urethra. This could cause pregnancy. If you are concerned about unintended pregnancy you may want to consider taking emergency contraception (EC) also called the morning after pill. EC is one of the safest and most effective ways to prevent unintended pregnancy after unprotected sex. It is effective if started within 120 hours (five days). If started within 72 hours, EC can reduce the risk of pregnancy by 75-89 percent. In the U.S. the emergency contraceptive pill can be obtained over-the-counter (OTC) without a prescription, identification or age restriction. Plan B One Step and Next Choice One Dose are examples of EC.
Can I ask a question too? Very similar.. Please don’t judge... I found out I am Pregnant on February 17th.. January 17th I had sex with someone who we’ve been trying to conceive for quite some time but no luck- he came inside.. January 18th my friend and I had sex but he did not even ejaculate and I do not believe he did at all that day. Could the baby still possibly be the guy who did not come close to ejaculating inside? Freaking out.
I have similar question, in my case my husband and I have sex but he didnt ejaculate, now i am late for 5 days.. is there possibility I got pregnant? Will be happy if I did.
Hi, So my boyfriend and I had sex for the first time few days ago. He used a condom and didn’t ejaculate. But I’m freaking out thinking I could be pregnant. Is there a possibility even after using protection?
So... I had "sex" I'm not even sure what it was really because it wasn't sex. But he never cam and I was wondering even if he rubbed his penis on my vagina without a condom and tried to stick it in but couldn't..and then I freaked out so we stopped.. could I get pregnant?
Yes you can, I conceived in December 2011 the sex lasted 5 minutes and since I had only lost my virginity a few months prior it was difficult for proper penetration so you can say It was only the tip, he pulled out, but I still managed to get pregnant from the pre-ejaculation we were both so shocked, on the plus side our son is a healthy, happy bubbly 5 year old.
Absolutely! Use protection, when both parts work... you run the risk of getting pregnant.
I have a similar question my boyfriend and I started having sex about two months ago I was a virgin before him and every time was protected but just yesterday and today we played around a bit with no condom but he claims he didn't precum but when he pulled out his penis was like dripping a clear liquid and he claims it was from my vagina idk if it is or not. Not to gross anyone out or anything but i am like freaking out he claims he knows what he's doing and he can feel when he's about to ejaculate I mean we aren't like children but I'm in college and I don't want to mess up my plans I really need help. I'm so afraid.
Hello i need some advice, Me & my partner had sex on (friday 8th july 2016) we used a condom but somehow it slipped off, he didnt ejeculate in me & the condom that slipped off had pre cum in but he was in me for a good 30 seconds before we knew about the condom sliping off, we then put another condom on, do i need to be worrid? (Im not due for my period for another 1 or 2 weeks). Also i should mention my cycles differ from 1 month to the next. But do i need to be worrid? Im ment to be getting the Contraceptive Implant on Thursday (14th July 2016).
So I know that this post is old but I had to comment. I have been an ER nurse for 11 years. That being said I meet a lot of women with there questions and similar concerns. First: let me clarify that the only way to prevent pregnancy in women of childbearing age is abstaining from sex. Now, sex is a part of life and no one should be shamed about partaking. Second: there is a 73-96% "success rate" for the pull out method (the man not ejaculating into the vagina. I have seen a lot people use this as a failed method of birth control . Third: women's bodies are complex and unpredictable. Yes, most menstrual cycles follow a certain cycle, but it is possible that for whatever reason, that one time, a body can go off course. Just because it isn't your "normal" ovulation tome doesn't mean it can't happen.
Moving on... since 2006 (I think) the plan b one step pill has been available at pharmacy, without a prescription, to women 17 and older. Those under 17 do require a prescription. It must be taken within 72 of having unprotected sex. The ER that I have worked do not require parental consent from parents for treatment of minors with these sort of requests (same does for STD testing). Now, if you are covered under your parents' insurance there will still be visible to them when they receive an EOB (explanation of benefits for the insurance company) after the visit.
I recently read an article about OB/GYN physicians recommending an IUD (such as Mirena) or and impact (like Implanon) for women of child bearing age. The use of these devices has increased among younger women recently. There is no pill to remember to take everyday and most insurances cover them for the same coat as a regular birth control RX or a standard co-pay.
My advice, find a gynecologist that you like. Schedule and appointment to simply talk to him or her. If you aren't satisfied... try another one! Women's health is an important issue. Never let anyone make you feel bad about your personal decisions and never do something that you are unsure about.
I know that there are tons of negative opinions about places like planned parenthood but the do offer resources for birth control, general women's health as well as free condoms. You should never be embarrassed about your sexual health. Health Care professionals are there to help you... it is what we do. We should always answer your question and address your concerns honestly and with compassion. If you don't receive that kind of treatment... stand up for yourself.
It is easy to think "well so and so didn't pregnant when it happened to her" but you are not so and so... and so and so might not have the same outcome next time.
Lastly, protect yourself. There a lot of sexually transmitted infection that could be prevented with the use of a condom. Regardless of other both control methods you are using, please keep that in mind. A guy may be the best guy you have ever met, but humans are not perfect and not all STIs have symptoms in all people.
Be safe and trust yourself. I hope that this will help someone. Remember, nurses and doctors should always have your back and should always treat you with respect, kindness and honesty. No one who treats you otherwise; partner, nurse, Doctor... anyone, deserves your tome body or time.
Hi i have sex with my bf the 1 time he cam awt side the segond time i didnt see that he cam awtside but he tell me yes but after 3 days my period coms normelle what can i do and if im pregnate
I also need help with this question. Two weeks ago I hooked up with this guy and stupidly we didn't use protection. I know he didn't finish because we were interrupted but now I am also having almost a swollen feeling in my lower abdomen and I've had a few cramps in the area of my ovaries. I also have PCOS and cysts on my cervix so when I got my period the next day after having sex I thought that I was good. Also I'm pretty sure j had a cyst rupture by the coloring of the blood the first day of the period. I wouldn't be so worried if it wasn't for that swollen feeling but now I'm totally freaking out. I can't get pregnant by this guy that I barely know and my daughters 11. You would think I'd know my lesson but clearly I don't! I mean I definitely do now! Again I wouldn't even be worried but that swollen feeling is the same feeling I had with my daughter! I messed up for sure but I still need to know what the chances are that I'm pregnant.
I have the same problem... my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex the other say, it lasted like less than 2 minutes, but i have had same kind of strange feelings in my belly... i'm a little bit scared... im supposed to get my period on march 23rd. Is it possible that i got pregnant if he didnt ejaculate inside?
Im going through a similar situation although it was more like a 2hr ordeal. But I'm also having the weird swollen feeling in my lower abdomen and I was wondering if you found out whether you are pregnant or not.
Yes. It's common. Don't take any chances.
I have a question two days ago I had sex with this guy and we used a condom the first time but did it again I went and got the after morning pill today but my the health nurse thinks I'm fertile I'm really scared because I'm fertile does this mean I could be pregnant even if he didn't cum ?
