A sexy shark cage photoshoot went severely awry as a model posing for the daring underwater snaps was left with a chunk bitten off her ankle.
Adult entertainer Molly Cavalli, who works with sex cam website Camsoda, was attempting to showcase her ample assets all while promoting a custom-made hardware protection device — which soon after proved not so effective for its safety and reliability.
Moments after Cavalli stepped into the contraption, a bull-headed lemon shark swam up to her, entered through the cage opening, and mauled her lower leg to a bloody mess. The incident was captured on camera by the videographer.
Cavalli quickly emerged from the water following the scare, as the camera crew asked about what went wrong while they stood clueless above on the boat.
A few days after the life-threatening incident, Cavalli shared a selfie from bed with an update on her recovery.
"Thanks for your well wishes guys. I'm totally fine. It's not as bad as it seems. Im healing quickly," she wrote. "It was still an amazing experience. Much love to my @camsoda team for taking good care of me."
The busty blonde received 20 stitches to repair the lacerated skin, but is expected to fully heal, a source told the Daily Star .
Camsoda vice president DarRen Press released a statement on the matter after the company was criticized for their irresponsibility.
"Our intention was to have Molly quickly dive into the shark cage with the camera and begin broadcasting as lemon sharks circled nearby. From what we gathered, lemon sharks are predominantly docile and relatively harmless," Press said, while explaining further how the scare happened.
"During the broadcast, a shark approached the cage which made Molly nervous. She swam up to the surface as the shark approached. Her foot rose above the protective net and was bitten."

But Cavalli maintains that she was indeed injured by a shark, and released a statement, saying: “I want to thank my fans for their outpouring of support as I heal my foot following the shark bite. Luckily it only required 20 stitches. I’m fine. It’s not that bad. I had a great experience anyway and now I have a story to tell forever.”
