Camprunners uses your device's foreground location (GPS) solely to:

- Display your real-time vehicle position on the tactical map HUD.

- Calculate driving distances to nearby campgrounds, fuel stations, and points of interest.

- Retrieve localized National Weather Service (NWS) road weather hazard bulletins for your sector.

Your real-time GPS location is processed locally on your device and is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

2. Third-Party Services & Telemetry Feeds

To provide navigation and weather intelligence, Camprunners connects to public and federal data services:

- National Weather Service / NOAA: For active blizzard, wind, and travel hazard alerts.

- OpenStreetMap / Waymarked Trails: For base map tiles and hiking contours.

- Recreation Data: Public directory metadata for campgrounds and wilderness recreation areas.

3. Data Storage & Security

All offline map downloads, saved bookmarks, and custom preferences are stored locally on your device storage. All network communications are encrypted via HTTPS (Transport Layer Security).
