Haven’t been on for a while, what’s it like out there?
My journey into the world of camming began about 6 years ago. I had just met someone online and we were used to Skyping each other and when we moved in together we found ourselves doing little cam shows on the website where we met and soon got addicted to it. We were pretty popular and we got a huge buzz from it, then one night it dawned on us “Wouldn’t it be awesome if we could make money from this!”
Neither of us knew anything about the world of camming for cash, so Google was our first port of call and we soon realised everyone was at it and we were late to the party!
With only a little homework we signed up to a couple of sites and our experiment began.
Some cam sites only allow females, or they may allow males, but separately - so no couples.
So I took the reins, this made perfect sense because I was way more comfortable in front of the camera anyway and had always had fantasies of being a porn star!
First up I tried Live Jasmin, it was great…… for a while. I couldn’t believe how much cash was rolling in, but I soon burned out because very little interaction was happening and lots of ‘directing’ from the members meant I was just kind of hammering myself and what started out as fun, quickly became……..mechanical, I guess. The money was still adding up but it was actually quite boring and I felt under pressure all the time.
We had a rethink and did some more homework. Myfreecams kept getting mentioned as a better alternative. The name probably put us off to start with, as in “how do I make any money if it’s free?!”. Again, this was how naive I was. As it turns out, there was a LOT of money to be made.
I watched other girls, aka models, on mfc for hours on end and soon figured out how I could make it work. It actually looked very simple and a lot more chilled and ‘friendly’ than LJ.
I filled out the forms and signed up as a model on myfreecams. After being approved the first night was just amazing! The people coming into my chatroom seemed genuinely interested in me and wanted to talk and socialise, as well as wanting the good stuff ;)
I had heaps of fun that night and made a decent amount of money - probably about the same as my weekly wage at the time - and I’d done it within a few hours!
I didn’t realise at the time, but when you first start on myfreecams you have ‘New Model’ status, which users see and so they flood into your room to check you out. Had I have realised I probably would have done more to capitalise on the new model status and used it to build up a following and I also could have put a lot more hours in. But I was still just dipping my toes in really and figuring out how everything worked.
I hadn’t quite twigged that I would build up a following of regulars, I still had the Live Jasmin mentality that I was on a conveyor belt and I should just switch my brain off and get my kit off!
After a few nights on MFC, I started to notice the same people coming back to my room and they would chat about things we had talked about a couple of days ago. It became clear that I could have proper conversations with people and form relationships - and even end up making lifelong friends!
After a couple of months I made the decision to quit my job and cam full time. When I say full time, I mean I went from working 42 hours a week to camming 20 hours a week. I would do 4 hours a day, five days a week (and also Friday and Saturday night here and there when I was in the mood, AKA drunk!). I was earning easily twice as much per week and I was ‘working’ half the hours, oh and having more fun than I had ever had in any job!
My list of regulars was building up and I would see familiar faces (or usernames) every day, we would talk nonsense and chat about what we had been up to in our daily lives, oh and of course my boys would throw money at me and I would reward them with a flash or a dance or a bit more if I was in the zone ;)
I used to tell anyone that would listen that they should get into camming, in fact I still do recommend it to people on a regular basis. When you find the right site, and I’m sure different people will feel more comfortable on different sites, then your world can completely open up. The money’s fantastic and, if you do what I did, you suddenly have twice as much free time and twice as much money to spend in that free time. Yes, shopping and partying become much more regular occurrences!
Fast forward six years - I have cammed on and off for the past few years, picking it up when I need/want to and concentrating on other things the rest of the time. Nowadays I cam sporadically, it’s still heaps of fun and I love catching up with my boys, but I have other things going on, so it is no longer full time for me.
I wanted this post to serve as an intro, with a bit of my back story. I don’t know how many people will be interested, but when I started I didn’t really know what I was doing and it took me a while to befriend (latch onto!) a couple of more experience cam girls who advised me and helped me understand the new online world I’d entered. I have always enjoyed being a part of the community and done my best over the years to talk to and help new models and I have played with other things like my own website and a Q & A where a lot of girls thinking about getting into camming would message me and I would do my best to answer their questions and share my experiences. I will be doing some more posts about my online experiences and also some tips for cam girls and ways of boosting your income from camming. I still make money when I’m not camming too, once you’ve made a start in this crazy world of camming there are lots of ways of making it work for you, whether you’re new or experienced.

However, my recommendation is to always go with a self-hosted blog, as it allows you complete control over your content and that is in addition to you having your own custom domain name (i.e. www.sexylexy.com NOT www.sexylexy.wordpress.com).
There are a number of hosting companies to pick from, and any of the ones listed below are a great choice. So, pick out your hosting provider, which will then take you through the install and integration with WordPress – a really easy process.
Allow Adult Content : HostGator , Dreamhost , GoDaddy
Allow Non-Adult Content : Bluehost . Great option if you want to keep your naked stuff on camsite only!

I am excited to announce that there are three new additions to the Stats pages. Those are:
These elements are at model's level. It is not global. What I mean is that, for example, the highest CamScore is related to the model.
But let's take a look at each element.
Basically, it is a heatmap graph that helps you understand when the model is usually online.
Notice that I said usually . It does not mean that the model will be online for sure at those hours. Therefore, don't see this as the model's schedule.
The heatmap takes into account the model's activity in the past 90 days. Naturally, models without any activity won't have a heatmap.
Of course, if a model gets online very often every Monday at 10 in the morning, you have a good chance of catching her online at that time. But remember that this is not guaranteed.
Speaking of time, the graph is relative to your timezone. So, in the example above, Monday at 10 am is related to your timezone, not the model's timezone.
This feature was present in MyCamgirl's old version . But disabled during migration.
It is how many viewers a model has on average in her public chat. It does not count users in private chat, group show, or any other paid session.
The average is calculated based on the last 90 days.
It is simply the model's best moment in terms of viewers. When she reached the most viewers in her room.
This takes into account the whole data, not only the last 90 days. In case you are curious, the viewers' data goes back to March 2014.
Only for the sites that MyCamgirl can collect data on the viewers. Those are Cams.com , Chaturbate , and MyFreeCams .
Obviously, this is available only on the Stats pages of MyFreeCams' models because, well, you know, the CamScore is a MyFreeCams thing.
The data goes back to 2011. The date is different from the viewers' data because the MyFreeCams' bots were originally launched in 2011, and only in 2014, they started "seeing" viewers.
No, it is not about old reviews. This is about Stats pages and CWSW pages. It's time to clean up the database!
First reason : Relevance; What is the point of having a page related to a camgirl who stopped camming five years ago? Most likely, people who spent time in her room either moved on or are not even around anymore.
Even if these members are still around, they have no reason to check the stats of a camgirl who has quite a long time ago. I mean, her stats page won't get any update. So what? Will the guy keep checking the page every day to see the same data?
Second reason : SEO; MyCamgirl currently has 4,565,541 models on its database (Stats pages only.) That can be harmful in terms of SEO.
Every SEO analyst I have talked to told me that these pages are too thin and similar. They are an absolute nightmare, the worst content a site could have.
The right way to do it would be to add valuable content to each page. That means extensive and cured text about each camgirl. Yeah, that is just impossible.
A few analysts even suggested shutting down the Stats area for good. Forget about the Stats pages and focus on the reviews; that's what search engines love.
Search engines love that because they think that is what people want and can't make sense of a stat page. But what SE fails to realize is how much more traffic the poor pages get. There are a lot more people interested on the Stats pages than on reviews.
In the end, we agreed to meet halfway. Only irrelevant pages will be "removed," which will reduce the number of pages drastically.
No. The page will return 404 Not Found . But the data will remain in the database. That is because this data will still be valuable to create historical insights of the camming industry.
All the activities of a camgirl whose page is no longer available will still count towards some global statistics, but without mentioning her name.
Stats pages and CWSW pages are the only sections affected by this.
Stats pages: All accounts that have not been online in the past three years;
CWSW pages: All pages that have only closed accounts or that all accounts have no activity in the past three years;
Important note: This is related to accounts, not camgirls. If a camgirl has two accounts and stops using one of these accounts, the stats page for this inactive account will disappear after three years of inactivity. However, the stats page for the account that she still uses will remain available.
It can be due for one of the following reasons:
First , the bots didn't process the page yet. Every day the bots will search for inactive accounts. But this process takes some time, and with almost billions of accounts to check, it can take so long that many accounts are left to check the next day.
