Courting rituals between lovestruck youngsters differ greatly from country to country.
In some places around the world, sex before marriage is considered a great taboo and the prospect of a teenage girl spending the night with her boyfriend remains highly unlikely.
But in one village in Cambodia, fathers go out of their way to encourage their daughters to have sex: by building them love huts.

Members of the Kreung tribe in the northeast of the country believe that women can be empowered through spending the night with different members of the other sex.
And when a girl reaches her early teenage years, or possibly even before, the love hut becomes the place for her to meet and get to know boys before deciding on her one true love.
The tribe believes the ancient practice is the best way for girls to find their future husbands.
The Kreung people have, however, moved on from their previous tradition of using a cocktail of alcohol and a centipede as a contraceptive, and now use condoms.

But in a country where HIV and AIDS remains prevalent, and where concerns are often raised about the exploitation of youngsters in sex trafficking cases, the idea of encouraging youngsters to have sex so openly remains surprising.
Communities in rural Cambodia continue to live close-knit existences to this day
Nang Chan, a 17-year-old girl who now lives full time in the love hut in the back garden of her parent's house, believes they offer her, and other girls like her, a sense of empowerment, though.
'The huts provide us independence and are the best way through which we can explore our true lover,' she told Techpuffs.com.
'If I find some special boyfriend and we both love each other, then I'll get intimate with him and have sex in my hut.
'But if I stop loving him and find another boy that I see more attractive, then I'll stop having sex with my previous boyfriend.'
Dr Sudeepta Varma, speaking to National Geographic said that from a western perspective, love huts might be regarded as taboo as parents are usually looked upon as 'protectors' of a woman's virginity, and not promoters of it.
According to villagers, divorce and sexual violence in the community remains non-existent, and young women only engage in relationships with those they feel comfortable with.
Despite the liberal attitudes towards sex between unmarried youngsters, however, couples must save the privilege of being seen in the day together until they are happily engaged to be married.

Children as young as 14 are believed to be working as prostitutes in Newport, Wales, with furious residents calling on police to clamp down on the fully functioning red light district.
According to locals Commercial Road in the Pill area is no longer safe for members of the public due to illegal activity.
Ann Barton, 71, owner of the AB Florist in the road, said: "The situation is very bad at the moment.
The thing is, they all look like young girls
"It's not just the sex workers either - the whole street has become a no-go area. It's truly heartbreaking.
"This used to be a lovely little community in Newport. Everybody used to get along and there was never any of the bad feeling you get here now.
"It's worse at night time, but it's bad in the day too."
"Children walk up and down this street, as well as old age pensioners - I can imagine it being quite intimidating for them.
"I sometimes come to the shop at night to pick up some things before work the next day and they are on the street corners. When I come back at 6am the next morning they are still there.
Last year it was revealed girls as young as 14 were selling sex on the streets for £2.
Barber shop owner Barbara Dunlop said: "There's definitely a lot of sex workers here, you see them on all different parts of Commercial Road.
"I'm based at the bottom end of the road and I sometimes see them on the corners at around 9am. They're all the way up the street at all times of the day.
"It's quite intimidating for people. I know one person who parked up on the street and they all jumped into the car.
"That could have ended up causing a lot of trouble."
"The thing is, they all look like young girls."
Gwent Police insist they are attempting to work with residents and organisations to clamp down on the issue.
Supt Glyn Fernquest said: "We are actively working to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the Pill area and street sex work is one aspect of a range of concerns that we are currently addressing with the community and partner agencies."
A town hall spokesman said: " Newport City Council is aware of a range of issues in Pillgwenlly and we are actively working with our public sector partners, including Gwent Police, to tackle them."

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A former English teacher was sentenced to nearly nine years in prison on Monday for traveling to Cambodia to have sex with a 14 year-old girl in what the judge called one of the “most disgusting cases” he had ever heard.
Prosecutors say Michael James Dodd, 61, admitted to sexually abusing the girl over an eight-month period in 2008 during which he paid her impoverished family $100 a month for private visits with her.
Dodd, a U.S. citizen, was then working in Phnom Penh as an English teacher.
U.S. District Judge John F. Walter expressed reluctance to approve the prison term of eight years and eight months sought by prosecutors under a plea deal with Dodd, indicating he thought the sentence was too lenient for the crime.
“I may live to regret this,” the judge said, adding that he had no doubt that when Dodd is released from prison “he’s going to do this again.”
“This is one of the most disgusting cases that has ever come before this court,” he said. He called Dodd a “cunning, clever and manipulative predator.”
But imposing the maximum possible sentence of 30 years in prison would have required a jury conviction, and the Cambodian victim would have been expected to travel to the United States to testify against Dodd. Walter said he was unwilling to force her to suffer that ordeal.
Dodd pleaded guilty in September to traveling to Cambodia to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.
He previously served more than four years in prison in the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, where in 2002 he was convicted of inappropriately touching underage girls. Dodd was working at an elementary school at the time.
After his release from prison there, Dodd traveled to Cambodia in 2007 to begin teaching there. Prosecutors say there is evidence that he abused other minors in Cambodia aside from the 14 year-old girl.
Cambodian police arrested Dodd in October 2008, after they investigated his relationship with the girl, and he served 16 months in jail in that country before authorities revoked his visa and expelled him.
FBI agents escorted Dodd back to the United States.
The bespectacled Dodd was soft-spoken during his Monday court appearance, and he thanked his lawyers for treating him like a “brother or a dad.” He then tried to engage the judge in conversation.
“I have no desire to sit here and engage in idle chit-chat and banter with you,” Walter said.
