Five plastic-wrapped packages believed to contain cocaine have washed up on beaches in Sydney, deepening a long-running drug mystery. What about night? I know a cab to Atlantis to gamble is an option. Is there anything else? Does the town shut down? We took a Carnival cruise on Sensation a few weeks ago, I posted a review if you are interested. It was beautiful! Unfortunately, we took a cab back to the pier around 5pm and the stores were already closing. The police were out. We were able to go to 1 or 2 shops, but the rest were closed, I'm talking bars on the windows, etc. We were walking up to Hard Rock Cafe and were offered cocaine, thats when we decided to head back and spend the rest of the night on the ship. If you want to shop, I would recommend doing it in the morning before you go about the island! Have fun! Nassau is very dead after 6pm. After a fulld ay in Cable beach and dinner in my ship, I took a taxi to Atlantics hotel around pm, I ask the Taxi driver what can I do at night in Nassau. He said nothing, but everything in Atlantics hotel is free after 9pm. He said I can also party in different bars, disco inside the atlantics hotel and shop there as well. I am not sure what he means everthing free, but I do know I can see the Digs for free after 9pm. All the Shops still open while walking inside the hotel between 9pm to pm. I saw a movie theather inside the hotel it is free for the hotel guess but the guy actualy let me in for free. I have no interst to spend two hours to watch a movies in Nassau but I did take a look inside the movie theather. It the full size theather can easy fit people. On the way back to my cruise ship, the time is aroudn 11pm and the streets are very dead and you really don't want to walk there at night. Why do so many ships have late into the evening calls at Nassau if there's really not much to do there after 6PM? Our cruise stayed there until 10PM, but we were back on the ship by or 7. I thought dinner would be empty, but it wasn't much different than any other night. IMO you see that the ports where the ships will stay late unto the night are the ones with casinos Now one wonders why given that the ship's casino isn't open I dunno but it makes sense. I mean, we know stores pay incetives to get mentioned in the 'shopping' lectures Or do countries actually say a stay must include X hours between the hours of Y and Z; while other countriies say 'no parking after dark' CI. There's plenty of restaurants open in and around downtown and taxi's are plentiful to get you to and from your destination. There are some wonderful restaurants outside of town.. Lucianos' to the east and Villagio's to the west. Both Nice adult dining options with no whining kids. Of course, if getting drunk is your pleasure.. It's walking distance from the dock.
