The blue lagoon excursion lasts about 5 hours and we decided we wanted a little more freedom and opted for Cable Beach. You are hearded in and out with lots of lines although I have also been when it was empty but there were no ships in that day. At Cable beach you have more room to take a long walk or just spread out. You can jet ski, para-sail, snorkel or just lie around. Plus, if you get real bored, you can always go to the casino.
