Vacancy CRO India (Chief Risk Officer) / Head of Risk India - REMOTE A large Fintech company, and part of a large fintech group, in search of a CRO India (Fintech, PDL, BNPL, IL, POS). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as CRO (Chief Risk Officer) at our online lending company in India or completely remotely. Strategy & Credit Risk Management: - Develop and approve scorecards and decision rules for online and offline applications, tailored to borrower demographics and behavior in India - Manage the full credit lifecycle (Origination, Account Management, Collections) from a risk perspective, including setting limits, loan terms (tenor, amount), and pricing strategies - Continuously monitor and analyze key risk metrics: Approval Rate, Default Rate, Roll Rate, Portfolio at Risk (PAR 30+), Expected Credit Loss (ECL) - Conduct portfolio stress testing and develop preventive action scenarios Model Development & Validation: - Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of predictive models (Application Score, Behavioral Score, Collection Score, Fraud Score) - Organize regular model validation (discrimination, stability, calibration) in line with best practices and regulatory requirements - Identify and implement alternative scoring approaches and data sources Regulatory Compliance: - Proactively monitor changes in consumer lending regulations in India and ensure timely implementation in processes and models - Act as a key point of contact with regulators and internal compliance teams on all risk-related matters Fraud Risk Management: - Develop and manage strategies to prevent both first-party and third-party fraud in digital lending - Implement rules and technologies for fraud detection at the application stage (document verification, biometrics, behavioral analysis) - Analyze fraud patterns and continuously adapt prevention mechanisms Data Management & Analytics: - Define data requirements for scoring and reporting; collaborate with IT and Data teams to ensure data quality and availability - Apply advanced analytics (including machine learning) to improve model performance and customer segmentation - Prepare regular risk reports for management and shareholders Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration: - Lead and develop a distributed team of risk managers and data scientists across two countries - Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Collections, and IT teams to embed risk strategies across the full product lifecycle - Educate commercial teams on risk management principles to balance growth and portfolio quality Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in risk management, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role (CRO / Head of Risk / Senior Risk Manager) - Relevant experience in unsecured lending - Strong understanding of the full credit risk lifecycle (Origination to Collections) - Proven experience in developing and implementing scoring models (Application/Behavioral) and scorecard & decision rule strategies - Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, Python or R) and strong statistical knowledge - Experience working with regulators and passing audits (experience in Asian markets is a strong advantage) - English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and spoken communication, reporting, negotiations) Work experience in microfinance is preferred: - PDL (Payday Loans) - IL (Installment Loans) - BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) - POS (Point of Sale Financing) What we offer: - Flexible work format: remote - Opportunity to contribute to the growth of an international fintech group - Стабильная, высокая, белая зарплата, оклад + премия (годовая) - Международный коллектив и работа, связанная с бизнесом в разных странах - Гибкий график работы - ДМС (Медстраховка) - Оплата профильных курсов и конференций - Корпоративное обучение английскому языкe - Возможность полностью удаленной работы, из любой страны мира - Офис в Москва-Сити или полностью удалённо <di
