Addis Ababa City Electric Utility invites sealed bids from eligible bidders by this National Competitive Bidding (NCB) for the procurement of Construction of Ware House and Watch Tower in Addis Ababa Region Compound in open bidding procedure.

1. The Ethiopian Electric utility invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders who have Above GC-5 or BC-5 Above Construction Licenses valid for the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year, (EFY, 2012), Trade License valid for the current Ethiopian Fiscal Year (EFY, 2012), VAT Registration Certificate, TIN Certificate, valid Tax Clearance Certificate and with Registration in the Suppliers List of Public Procurement and Property Administration Agency (PPA), For the Construction of Ware House and Watch Tower at Addis Ababa City Electric Utility. by providing all necessary Materials, Equipment and Labor which is proposed to be built in Ethiopia whereas, Addis Ababa , Yeka Sub-City, (in front of Dinberua Hospital)

2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the OPEN Bid Tendering Procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Federal Government of Ethiopia. Bidders who participate must have similar experience to the proposed Works.

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and clarification from Addis Ababa City

Electric Utility (AACEU) and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below.

4. A complete set of bidding Documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidders at the address above and upon payment of non-refundable fee of against payment receipt of ETB. 400.00 (Four hundred).

5. Bids must be delivered on or before the closing date and time to the above mentioned address. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of (CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee) as mentioned above. Late bids shall be rejected and will be returned unopened to the Bidder.

6. The Bid is Single Stage Two envelope system; Technical offer & Bid Security will be opened in the presence of the bidders or bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address above on the above mentioned date and time. Financial Offer will be opened after technical evaluation got approval.

7. Bidders are advised to submit their offer after examining the bid document carefully.

8. Addis Ababa City Electric Utility (AACEU) reserves the right to reject all or partial bid without assigning any reason thereof. Bidders are instructed to fill; sign and wax seal all the forms of the bid documents. All Bids must include value added tax (VAT) on the summary of the bid price Partial rebate, like fixed sum and rebate on some items is not acceptable.
