1981, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
A CIA operative, Agent Daniel Cross, was deep undercover, tracking Soviet arms shipments when a dying priest whispered cryptic words: 'The Ark... it never left Africa... the Americans have known...'

Cross reported the intel, expecting dismissal. Instead, he was summoned to a black-site briefing where a grizzled Cold War veteran revealed the truth: In 1945, OSS (CIA’s predecessor) had uncovered evidence that the Ark was hidden in a sealed underground chapel in Axum, Ethiopia. But after a failed extraction mission left twelve men dead—melted faces, radiation burns—the project was buried.

Chapter 2: The Relic Hunters

Cross was assigned to a covert team, 'Unit Sheba,' tasked with verifying the Ark’s location—but not retrieving it. Their orders: 'Document and contain.'

But as they infiltrated the ancient tunnels beneath Axum’s Church of St. Mary of Zion, they found Nazi relics, Soviet spy logs, and CIA files—proof that every major power had tried and failed to claim the Ark.

Then, the team found a hidden chamber. Inside, an ornate chest rested beneath a cloth inscribed with Hebrew warnings. When their Geiger counters spiked, Cross realized: The Ark was real. And it was lethal.

Chapter 3: The Cover-Up

Before they could secure the artifact, a rival faction—a rogue Mossad unit—ambushed them. In the firefight, the Ark was exposed. One Israeli agent, in a moment of fanaticism, touched it—and his body disintegrated in a flash of blue fire.

The surviving CIA team barely escaped, sealing the chamber behind them. Cross’s final report recommended eternal lockdown. The Ark was too volatile—not a weapon, but a divine judgment.

Epilogue: The Secret Lives On

Decades later, declassified files would hint at the truth, but the full story remained buried. Some say the Ark is still there, guarded by monks who know its power. Others whisper that the CIA still watches, ensuring no one ever tries again.
