Chinmayi Sripada (born 10 September 1984), known mononymously as Chinmayi, is an Indian singer and voice actress who predominantly works in Tamil and Telugu films. Noted for her wide vocal range and versatility, she is one of the most popular singers in South India .She rose to fame for her critically acclaimed song "Oru Deivam Thantha Poovae" from Kannathil Muthamittal (2002), directed by Mani Ratnam and composed by A. R. Rahman. She debuted as a voice actress in Sillunu Oru Kaadhal (2006) rendering her voice for Bhumika Chawla, after being referred by one of A. R. Rahman's sound engineers. She debuted as a composer with a short lullaby titled Laali, which she also sang and released as part of Instagram's #1MinMusic. She is the founder and CEO of a translation services company Blue Elephant, a skincare company importing K-beauty to India - Skinroute formerly Isle Of Skin, and a medi-spa Deep Skin Dialogues in Chennai and Hyderabad. She is often credited as Chinmayee and was credited as Indai Haza (named by composer A. R. Rahman for one of his songs - I Miss You da). She is also a social activist often raising her voice against issues faced by women and has been one of the faces of the second wave of #MeToo movement in India.

Sripada Pinakapani (3 August 1913 – 11 March 2013), was a medical doctor, administrator, professor in medicine, and carnatic musician. He received Sangeetha Kalanidhi award in 1983. Pinkapani was born at Priya Agraharam of Srikakulam district. He spent three months in violin maestro Dwaram Venkataswamy Naidu's school. He joined M.B.B.S. in 1932. He completed M.D. in general medicine in December 1945 also from Andhra Medical College, under Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. Pinakapani worked as assistant professor at Madras Medical College from 1944 to 1949 and later at Andhra Medical College. He opted for Andhra Services and resigned to rejoin in the same post in 1951. He held the position of Professor of Medicine on 17 May 1954 and later transferred to Kurnool Medical College on 26 January 1957 and retired in the same position on 2 August 1968. Pinkapani had a successful career performing at major festivals and concerts. His disciples include carnatic vocalists, Nedunuri Krishnamurthy, Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana, Voleti Venkatesvarulu, Srirangam Gopalaratnam, the Malladi Brothers, Dr.N Ch Pardhasaradhi and many others. He wrote several books on carnatic music and Gaanakalasarvasvamu ran multiple volumes which had every minute detail of krithis. He is the paternal grandfather of singer Chinmayi Sripada. He died on 11 March 2013 in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, at the age of 99, a few months short of completing 100.

"Mayya" is a popular Hindi song from the 2007 Hindi film, Guru. It was composed by A. R. Rahman, performed by Maryem Toller, Chinmayi Sripada, Keerthi Sagathia and written by Gulzar. Apart from the film's soundtrack, it also appeared in the compilation album, A. R. Rahman – A World of Music released in 2009. Rahul Ravindran (born 23 June 1981) is an Indian actor, director, and screenwriter who works in Telugu and Tamil films. He made his debut in the Tamil film Moscowin Kavery (2010), before playing leading roles as a man with cerebral palsy in Vinmeengal and as a mechanic in Soorya Nagaram. He made his Telugu film debut with Andala Rakshasi (2012) in the Telugu film industry. He made his Hindi debut in Jigra (2024). Thug Life is the soundtrack album composed by A. R. Rahman for the 2025 film of the same name directed by Mani Ratnam, who co-wrote and co-produced it with the lead actor, Kamal Haasan, thus marking Ratnam and Hassan's reunion after Nayakan (1987). The film also stars Silambarasan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Trisha Krishnan. The album featured nine songs, with two of them being previously released as singles. It was initially planned to be released on 16 May 2025, which would have coincided with the audio launch event in Chennai, before its delay to 24 May. The album was released that day via Saregama.
