Ready to find out the correct answer? The number of cameras in Rust depends on the map size, the events currently happening in the game, and which monuments are present on the map. That said, there are 61 camera types in the game overall. Some cameras on a given server can exist in as many as 6-8 instances, like the ones with the OUTDOOR**** code, while others might not appear at all.

While nailing down the exact number, we also checked every camera code database we could find online. Turns out none of them had a complete, up-to-date list.

So, as part of the update coming very soon, we're adding our own camera code tab. Both the app and the website will get a section where you can quickly find the code for any current camera in the game, including the cargo ship and ferry terminal. It'll be free, no subscription needed.
