The warm and earthy fragrance of Splendida Magnolia Sensuel is an extremely rich and mysterious fragrance that is warm and sensual. This scent for women is from the house of Bvlgari and opens with notes of Orange Blossom and Tangerine. Bvlgari Splendida Magnolia Sensuel New Fragrances
@Plumaria: Well, there we go then. :/ I don't like citrus notes, either, so it all makes sense. If orange blossom didn't turn into pee on me, I'd probably like it, but what can one do about body chemistry? *shrug*
It's smells very nice.. not a strong parfum.. but it's nice on to buy list..
So nice the bottle and the notes can't wait to try it
Oh my God! I want this in my life! it sounds amazing, Jacques Cavallier? yes I want it right now!
it's been available in stores where i live for at least a week, ohhellozippy. maybe two.
Scarbo, how were you able to try it, it will only be released on January 2018? Curious where I can try it, too.
shivering... cannot wait, come to mama!!
DarlingNikki: Here we go "...It beautifully complements all other citrusy notes and acts as a natural fixative, allowing the original composition to last longer while keeping its true fragrance." Quoted from Fragrantica/Notes/Neroli (or Orange Blossom).
Isn't that the same Jasmine Noir in the photo that's been around for years?
i've tried it. didn't get any magnolia tbh. i did get woody notes and patchouli (a little bit) and vanilla (a little bit). it's a-ok, smells like a 'sweet masculine' frag with the teensiest bit of citrus in the opening. or something like that. dunno why they decided to throw magnolia in the name
a bit of a waste considering how absolutely stunning the bottle looks in person
edit: it's not a dead ringer for ysl nu, but it is in the same vein (but less inspired)
Why must every feminine fragrance that is released lately have orange blossom in it? Is there a court ordered mandate for that note to appear? Good grief, I can't stand it on me (turns into pure urine) and it seems inescapable... On a more positive note, that bottle is divine!
I am excited for rose rose ...cant wait to test is... tahitan vanilla in magnolia sensuelle looks good to me too....
Notes look promising! Can't wait to try it! Yes, a stunning bottle.
Now, this sounds interesting! And what a beautiful bottle!

I have grown to really like this scent in such short time! I purchased this at semi annual sale and immediately loved the opening. It reminded me of something from my childhood that I can't quite put my finger on. I only have the mist in this scent and I am fine with just that, since...
The original Burberry Her is one of my favorites and I use it often. I tested the Elixir on Sunday at Macy's, and it knocked my socks off. Can't stop thinking about it. Burberry took a perfection that is BH and perfected it even more, if that is even possible. The bad news is, Elixir...
Where is the "Khamrah" here ? i don't see any boozy notes.
it's okay. initial thoughts: reminds me of marfa, but more restrained. marfa is like BAM shoving your face in a tuberose bouquet, but heartless helen is gentler like you're wearing a corsage that you pick whiffs of every now and then. mandarin takes a backseat to the agave in marfa,...
I don't understand why a company produces it when there is spicebomb. Exactly the same.
Out of their 8 sample set, this was the only one I liked and purchased a bottle. This one is very cedar (a la Iso-E) and ambroxan-heavy, citrusy, and slightly sweet. It has an airy, astringent (clean), and crisp feeling to it.
Licorice and tonka bean touch each other with their woody and bittersweet facets: on the brighter side there's anise, and on the deeper side there's tobacco powder and hay. Lavender is also anisic here, and a puff of incense gives the aged rustic house feeling which is the reason I like...
Surprisingly, this smells more masculine the more it dries down. Even more surprising, the performance on this is great. A green-tinged floral summer scent that is very different from current summer releases, specially when you look at the notes: coconut is only there for the opening, it vanishes...
The fragrance is as expected but the issue here is it's has very harsh opening,so I don't get to enjoy the fragrance. Not sure if my fragrance was a bad batch or not, also people are saying dubai batch is better than french, I got french, it can be a case. Can anyone let me know your...
I often love orange blossom in fragrances, but I wish they would have used less in Pomelo Paradis. The citruses are sweet and juicy, the mint adds an enduring punch (think of how a freshly squeezed orange rind numbs the nose). But that orange blossom makes this fragrance tip into fruit soap...
Those vanilla candle comments couldn't be more correct. This is Bath & Bodyworks' Vanilla Bean Candle in a bottle. There is no mistaking it if you've ever smelled it. Very sweet and gourmand, a tiny bit powdery. I personally really like that candle so that's definitely a...
They changed the formulation. I bought this in 2017, just about finished that bottle (white scripty writing indicating rose/vanilla). I ordered the new one and it has new notes. Very little rose or vanilla. Almost smells like nothing except a fresh green or aquatic scent that I dislike and avoid...
Oof--one spray on my forearm is choking me out, like I'm deeply inhaling a burning stick of rose incense right under my nose. I'll have to experiment with spraying this further away from my face or walking through a mist of it. Well made with impressive sillage. I'll have to come...
Victorian Picnic is a perfect name for this delish floral gourmand. Orange blossoms hearken back to my childhood, living near an orange grove and the old Sunkist Growers headquarters in the San Fernando Valley, Calif. A whiff of spongy ladyfingers and jasmine hover in the background. Early on I...
Intensely fruity. This packs a punch of strawberry that doesn't fade in the dry down. There's also a sweetness that reminds me of the whipped cream note in Ariana Grande Cloud. It does unfortunately overall read as an artificial sort of fruitiness and it reminds me ever so slightly of...
This was a very nice read John, I enjoyed it. Especially, "...into the churning sea of dark and beautiful rose chaos..." which I would agree with, as I am somewhat familiar with the perfume and it's creator. I look forward to hearing from you about the next two that stand directly...
September is here, I'm all itching with impatience!!! :)
My favorite tuberose by far is Champs Lunaires by Rogue Perfumery, which never gets the attention it deserves. it is absolutely intoxicating.
there's a fourth type of chocolate named ruby chocolate (alongside with dark, milk and white chocolate) which is made by special process - maybe that's it?
I wish that EL took better care of their back catalogue, I think that they have a legitimate space in perfume history. At this point they put all the distinctive bottles into homogenized, plain ones, and they have already discontinued half of them. And even scents like Sensuous, and Sensuous...
I love Escada's sugary, twee, fruity-sweet fragrances - Cherry in the Air was one of my first 'big girl' perfumes and I loved that chewable, delicious juice, so I always take the time to take a look at their new releases, even though I don't own any currently. The blueberry...
Agreed re Nagel negativity. I've had mixed thoughts, admittedly but she's also done some AMAZING scents like Gallop, Rhubarbe and H24
I agree the scent of laundry detergent and cleaning products is very important. I won't use laundry products w/ strong smells. Many of them are just downright obnoxious. I prefer all-natural lavender and w/ cleaning products I like Mrs. Meyers the best. They have fantastic scents that are so...
It is pleasant to look at it through the eyes of a foreign tourist - I love this line. For this is what fragrance (and especially vintage fragrance) testing has always been for me! I have had such few childhood memories of scent that almost anything I encounter from the past is strange and...
If I see one more fragrance ad with the "ingredients" of the scent in the background.. The market has become so derivative I'm stuck in a chronic deja vu. Starting to believe the Matrix is real.
I am a huge fan of Nobile 1942 and Carthusia. Can't wait to get my hands on those two.
I have the tiny miniature bottle, and cherish it a lot. Wonderful scent.
I read this article after returning home from a trip to the mall, where I had visited a Lush store. And Vanillary was the only fragrance on offer that I didn't test! I'm so disappointed in myself now. Cafe Chantant also sounds so intriguing. Lovely writing, Elena, thank you so much. Peace.
This comment is unrelated to the perfume itself, but the first time I can remember hearing the words "halcyon days" was in the 1981 Masterpiece Theatre series "Brideshead Revisited". Charles Ryder (played by Jeremy Irons) narrates the words in a flashback showing him and...
Thank you Elena for this wonderful article about my favorite perfume of all time. Among all my beloved chypres (all of your mothers' favorites included), Ellipse stands above them all. For me, it is the most beautiful green, bitter, coniferous chypre of all. And if I were asked which perfume...
Wow a perfume inspired by my hometown โค๏ธ
Hi all in this amazing world of fragrances. Just wanted to find out if perhaps anyone knows if this amazing fragrance has been discontinued by azzaro? Really an amazing boozy amber that to me is better than Bentley intense at least on my skin. God bless from South Africa.
@teebear We live in the world where regardles of who does what, everyone asks for money to be donated here and there. Brand is just starting and they most likely taken a credit to start new brand and came up with new idea. Instead of celebrating start of something new, something thats different...
These scents sound lovely and by their look & fragrance descriptions seem to be like Eau De/Body Splashes. Aren't these usually brought out in spring, & meant for use in summertime & high heat as refreshers? I'm just surprised that these are released now, in time for...

Bvlgari launched the Splendida Collection in 2017 with three fragrances Iris d'Or , Rose Rose and Jasmin Noir , capturing "the nuances and accents to sublimate the most precious facets of the noblest flowers of Perfumery." In January 2018, the collection is joined by Magnolia Sensuel whose creation is signed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier . The new perfume deals with the theme of magnolia flower as one of the shortest-lived flowers that brings an intensive aroma.
Magnolia Sensuel is announced as an extremely rich fragrance, mysterious and seductive. It opens with citrus top notes described as sparkling, light and fresh. The floral heart of magnolia is enriched with white flowers of jasmine and orange blossom. The base is described as sensual and woody with the scent reminiscent of vanilla ice cream.
Top notes: tangerine seed oil, orange blossom oil Heart: Chinese magnolia, essence of orange blossom, jasmine essence Base: patchouli, musk, Tahitian vanilla
Bvlgari Splendida Magnolia Sensuel is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum .
